Chapter 56: Old Acquaintances Draco’s P.O.V: Getting out of the Donatello mansion was no better than an escape mission. Rosanna had been clinging to me like glue all evening and even though I had been invited to stay over with the Donatello’s at their mansion, I couldn’t have declined that invitation fast enough. Upon reaching the hotel, the first thing I did was look to see if it was safe to travel back immediately, but due to sudden rains, the pilot advised me that flying back tonight might not be the safest option. Once I had showered and gotten Rosanna’s floral perfume out of my clothes, I ordered room service at the hotel I was staying at and waited on the bed to get my food while checking up with Gustav and the others in charge of the warehouse to see if everything was alright. For some reason though…my hands stopped before I could press the call to Rico, to check on Gina. Being here…even if it was just to celebrate Donatello’s daughter’s birthday…it felt so wrong…like I w
Chapter 57: Rico and Paris 8 Paris’s P.O.V “Do you like it here?” Rico asked, looking around nervously at the restaurant for the hundredth time. It wasn’t fancy at all. It was a small establishment with a homey atmosphere that mostly served homemade Italian dishes like no other place I had been to. There were only two wait-staff, one young boy who looked around my age and another man who was old enough to be around Rico’s age. The woman behind the counter was old, not by years, but it looked like she had been worn out by the difficulties that life had provided for her. And she too kept looking at us nervously, almost like she was afraid of the reaction she would have. There weren’t that many customers today. A few people just hanging around, eating their pasta in peace by the side tables; enjoying their meals and their company. In short…I’d rather be here than any other five star hotel or bar that the mafia owned. This place was welcoming…like home. “Why didn’t you tell me your
Hey guys, I know I keep saying this every month but in the end, I give up and start uploading, but this time, I will be taking a haitus for the month of May, for my own mental health and to give my eyes some rest since I have been constantly working for the last few months, even after surgery. No, I don't have any problems in my eyes just yet, but I do feel like my migraine is coming back. So a long holiday is needed. But, as usual, I won't actually be taking a holiday. I'll just be prepping my chapters for my next update month so that I don't need to start rushing all at once. As for the update schedule, here is the timeline: 1. The Bad Boy's Innocent Obsession- Will be finished in June. 2. Taming the Mafia King- Will be finished in July. 3. The Kingpin's Possession BL- Weekly updated. 1-2 chapters per week. 4. The Bad Boy's Dirty Little Secret- Weekly updated. About 1 chapter per week. So these are estimates of what is to come. Hopefully I'll be able to follow through with my
Chapter 58: The Bird in a Gilded Cage Regina’s P.O.V: “You’re not going to tell him?” Joel frowned at me as he sat on the bed, watching me pack my stuff that I had gotten this morning from the mall. He had gotten a text from Draco last night telling him to get my things packed up because he wanted us to go on a trip to Chicago together. He had work and I was supposed to be the arm candy. In all honesty, I felt exhausted, betrayed and completely physically and emotionally drained to protest against anything Draco was planning. Why did this trip feel like he was trying to make up with his mistress after spending quality time with his to-be wife? And I was just that, wasn’t I? The mistress that he kept locked up in his room so no one could find out about me, while he spent time with his wife-to-be publicly. It won’t be long before the news gets public and ends up in the front page of some newspaper and I have to parade back to my brothel like some kind of walk of shame after being l
Chapter 59: Internal BattlesRegina’s P.O.VAll my previous resolve, my willpower…vanished the second I lay eyes on Draco right outside the airport.A smile stretched across his face as soon as he spotted me and he came forwards with arms wide open, and all I could do was jump right into them, pressing my face close to his chest, taking in a whiff of his familiar scent. As soon as his scent filled my nostrils, a sense of calmness took over my body, making me feel instantly relaxed…like everything was going to be okay.“Did you miss me?” His husky voice whispered in my ear, making a shiver run down my spine. “Because I missed you…a lot.”However, the words that would’ve otherwise made me smile or blush…today, they made me weary.Draco moved away in the slightest, looking down into my face so he could see my reaction. “What’s wrong? Still not feeling better?”“No, I’m fine.” I told him quickly. Thanks to Joel’s wife, I had been able to get my hands on an OBGYN who I had a video chat wit
Chapter 60: Secrets Regina’s P.O.V “Ma’am…we have something for you.” I stopped mid-step, turning to look back at the bell-boy suspiciously. “Excuse me?” I wasn’t sure I heard him right. But suddenly, the man moved incredibly close to me, almost invading my personal space as he snatched my hand. I brought up my free hand immediately, as if on reflex, to punch the bell-boy in the face but he just smirked at me. “Relax.” He muttered the words so only I could hear them, as he removed the bag from my hand and placed it on the carrier rack. “You have a job to do.” My eyes widened when realization hit me like a ton of bricks. And that was when I felt him place something small in the palm of my hand, before closing my fingers around it. Was it another tracker? Did they want me to track Draco further? Or was it…was it really time? Tucking the little device away inside the pocket of my jeans, I fought back the nausea rising in my throat as I hurried after Draco and ran into the elevato
Chapter 61: One Last Night Regina’s P.O.VDraco and I spent the entire evening going through the city, enjoying various cuisines and visiting as many tourist attractions as we possibly could.Rico and Joel stayed behind at the hotel, but we were accompanied by some of his security detail that I had never met before. They weren’t all men wearing black suits and white shirts, but people who could easily blend into the local crowd and not be spotted. It made me feel a little less anxious, a little less like a traitor. At least when the men weren’t dressed all professional, I could forget that they were even there and just mix in with the crowd, forgetting about the world all around me.Draco held onto my hand tightly, taking me to any place I wanted to go to; buying me anything I wanted to eat. I didn’t eat all of it and neither did he, but I guess he was keeping the food somewhere, or letting one of his men carry the stuff, because he wasn’t the kind to waste food, especially since his
Chapter 62: A Confrontation Least Expected Regina’s P.O.VMy blood chilled in my bones as I felt my legs freeze on the spot.“H-how did you get in?” I asked him, my voice shaky and my insides twisting in knots as my mind raced with all possible scenarios that were to come. How was I going to explain this to him? To Draco? Because if Joel found the device…there was no way he was keeping this to himself. He was going to tell Draco about this in no time.“Capo asked me for a sweep of the suite, just in case there was a bug planted here by one of his enemies.” Joel told me, unmoving from where he stood with his back against one of the sofas in the living area. “I was doing my routine checkup when I found this.”He held out the device close to his eyes for better inspection. “It’s funny actually, because I had expected to find any kind of sound or video recording devises set up by the Don of Chicago. Because this room was booked by him and the most common reasoning would be that he wanted
