Before I would lose the shred of patience, the door of the OT opened and the doctor walked out of there. He took off the mask and sighed upon seeing me. Perhaps it is because of the way I look. My hands trembled as I tried to speak but couldn't.

"She is fine." I have never been so relieved in my life before. Those three words, they were like a life have been given me all over again. "There was a rupture in her liver. We have stitched it up and stopped the bleeding but in case of haemorrhage, there are complications which can arise later too. So, we will keep her under observation and see how this goes on." He politely explained everything to me.

Now that I know that she is fine, all I want to do is to see her. "Can I meet her?" I heard my voice coming from the depth.

"After that we will shift her to the ICU. But she will be under anaesthesia for a while." He said to me, patted my shoulder and left.
