Anastasia POV:

I was sleeping soundly, until the sharp pain in my abdomen jerked me from the deep slumber. At first, I thought it was because the baby kicked and brushed it away, however, after 10 or 15 minutes, I felt it again. My whole body broke into cold sweat.

It was so sharp and intense that I forced myself not to scream in the middle of the night and glanced at Ryan who looked really comfortable. I put my hand on his bare shoulder and gave him a little shake. That's all it took him to get up. He immediately turned on the side lamp and looked at me. For a second, I forgot the pain as I watched the way his eyes turned wide upon seeing me.
