CHAPTER EIGHT: SHOPPING.

Winnie.

Now, Winnie realized that this was no joke and decided to start preparing for her life ahead. She paid back the loan and bought back her bakery. She wanted to pay for the house but remembered Ares said they would live together during the period of the contract so she booked for a stay in a hotel instead.

She decided to go shopping since she had to “wear something nice” for the outing. She smirked as she remembered his words.

“Who does he think he is? I'll show him something nice alright”, Winnie muttered with a seductive smile on her face as she got to the shopping mall.

She chose a fancy shopping mall since she could afford it this time around.

“How many I help you miss?”, Winnie heard a young lady whom she assumed was an attendant ask. “I'm looking for the female section”, Winnie replied. “Alright, right this way miss”. Winnie followed her to where the female section was located and was happy with what she was seeing.

There were pretty looking dresses everywhere that Winnie didn't know where to start from.

The attendant, noticing Winnie’s hesitation asked, “Do you need help, miss?”. Winnie turned around and smiled, “yes please”.

“What type of outfit are you looking for?”, the attendant asked. Winnie became shy not knowing what to answer because she was thinking of getting something that would make Ares stare at her even if it's for a little while to at least shut him up, because she knows she's a pretty girl, just a little glam would do the trick.

The attendant noticed Winnie's blushing face and realized what she wanted. She smiled at her and said, “come with me please”.

Winnie just became more shy and followed her. They got to that section and Winnie was amazed. She saw different types of clothes and was surprised. “Do people actually wear stuff like this?”, she asked no one in particular. “Make your choice miss”, the attendant told her and was about to leave. “Please don't go yet, can you please stay with me till I'm done shopping…if you don't have a problem with that”, Winnie pleaded. “Alright, no problem but it might cost you extra”, the attendant smiled and winked at her. “It's fine by me”, Winnie responded happily. 

Winnie tried on a mini gown first, it was really short, flay, and strapless. It was black in color and showed off her long legs, it also hugged her breasts and revealed a bit of cleavage. When she came out of the dressing room, the attendant smiled and gave her a thumbs up. Winnie also liked the dress so she went for it.

She tried on another gown, this one was red in color and was fitted, it hugged her body and brought out all her curves. It was off-shoulder and had a band on the waist that was decorated with stones. She liked it also and so did the attendant so she also picked it.

She decided to add some pants, jackets, shirts, blouses, skirts, blouses and some crop tops. She tried on most of them and they were ok. The ones she didn't really like, she returned them.

She was done with clothes and decided to go to the shoes section. There she bought heels of different colors, sneakers, flat shoes and some slippers because hers were old already. 

She also added some makeup products to the list of things she bought and decided to buy her hair products too since she had the money. Winnie wanted to add jewelries too but decided not to because she wasn't really used to it.

When Winnie was done shopping, she thanked the attendant and gave her a huge tip then went to the counter to pay for everything. She was scared that the money in her account won't be enough for everything she bought, so she was surprised when the cashier returned her card to her with a big smile plastered on her face as she said “thanks for shopping with us miss, we hope to see you next time, do have a lovely day”. Winnie just smiled and nodded as she left the mall with lots of bags.

She was really excited because she hadn't shopped like this before. She immediately called for a cab when she was outside the mall and told the driver the location of the hotel she was staying at. 

When she arrived at her location, she paid the driver and got into the hotel to her room.

When she entered her room, she dropped the shopping bags at a corner and just laid down on her bed with a smile on her face. 

Afterwards, she went to have her bath and got dressed.

She was about testing everything she bought again so she'll be able to decide on what to wear for the outing when she heard a knock on the door. She wondered who it could be since she wasn't expecting anyone.

“Room service”, the person said after knocking and entered the room. “Sorry but I didn't order anything”, Winnie said after the young man had entered. “You're Miss Hugh right?”, he asked her. “Yes I am”, Winnie replied. “You don't need to worry, it has been paid for already, enjoy your meal miss”. And he was gone, just like that.

Winifred was really confused. Who could have paid for her meal? And how did the person know which hotel she was in and the room she was occupying.

Could it be Ares? But she didn't tell him anything about where she was going to stay so how could he have found out. She really couldn't answer that question. She was still thinking when her stomach started grumbling reminding her that it needs to be fed.

She immediately abandoned the thoughts and decided to focus on her grumbling stomach. 

Winifred opened the tray and was surprised. There were bacons, pizza, burgers, pancakes, some cookies, some slices of cake and a bottle of wine. Her mouth started watering from looking at the dishes in front of her. She decided to dig in and ended up eating everything. She didn't realize she was that hungry.

After eating, she decided to go on a little walk since it was night already and she wasn't really sleepy.

She decided to go for something comfortable, baggy pants and a loose blouse since she wasn't wearing a bra then she wore one of the slippers she had bought.

She locked her room, put the keys in her pocket and headed off.

She left the hotel premises and was walking with nowhere in mind. She just loved the feel of the cool night breeze, the stars adorning the sky and the moon shining in its glory.

Winnie felt like someone was following her but she couldn't see anybody, she kept on looking back but still she couldn't see anybody suspicious. 

She continued walking for a while then decided to go back to her hotel. That was when she noticed a black car parked a few feet from where she was. Then a young man came out of the car and was looking in her direction. She immediately saw his eyes and knew he was the one, she could recognize those eyes anywhere.

He started walking towards her direction and she froze not knowing if she should run away or keep on going like she didn't see him.

“Hello wife”, she heard him say with a smirk on his face.
