She said she has chosen a date for your engagement party, which will be on the sixth of next month." buckling her seatbelt, Maureen faced her daughter to ask," Did you mean it when you said you have no intention of Marrying Francis anymore? If you mean it, I'll refuse Mrs Woods proposal and tell her the engagement is off.

"Mum, please refuse her, I'm never going to marry Francis. Not in this lifetime or the next."

Maureen was dumbfounded, she could remember the bizarre things Vanessa did all in the name of marrying Francis. To get over it quickly, something big must have happened.
