Chapter 3

Dominic's POV

Slow and steady, the car rolled to a stop and I stepped out. My right hand fondled the butts of my Cuban cigar as I stared at the club. This was a new club which belonged to Mrs. Becky Donald. I shrugged as I wondered how quick she was to move on from her husband's death. My consigliere unlocked the door and joined me as we walked into the club. The large neon light kept radiating through the hall as I waltzed through sweaty bodies. A chubby lady walked over to me and wriggled her ass and I smacked it in acknowledgement. As I arrived the counter, my eyes caught a young lady. She was dressed like a stripper but her facial expressions was different. There was fear in her eyes. Her long hair swirled as she pulled out the empty bottles from the glass counter. She turned again to me and apple eyes almost threw me off balance.

I shook the thoughts off my head and stretched my hand, Chris handed a lighter to me and I lit up my Cuban. I took a deep puff and blew it into the air.

“The lady you’ve been looking at is Donald's daughter” Chris whispered to me.

“Fuck no, she wouldn’t use Donald's daughter as a sex toy. She’s heir to Donald's estate” I replied, a bit confused.

“When I did my research, I noticed quite a lot of things. She has laid claim to every single farthing Donald has”.

I chuckled, “This is fucking interesting”.

I then stepped forward towards the counter, “I need to see your Boss”.

The tapered head bartender stared at me, “What do you need her for?”

I took a deep breath, “Business, and I don’t have time to waste”.

The bartender stared at me with a look of contemplation, “Gentleman, you have to understand with me. You can’t see her, not at the moment”.

“Call your Boss, tell her Dominic Toretto, an associate of her husband is here to see her. It is very important and you should make sure I see her this night. If not, anything that befalls her is on you”.

“Are you threatening me? Maybe I should call the cops”.

“If you pick up the landline and make a call to the cops, I will call the mayor to call it off. Then, I’ll strangle you with your telephone rope” I said, I was sick of the bartender's drama.

He took a deep breath, “I'll call her”.

I shifted away from the counter and my gaze caught the girl again, I noticed the way she cringed when a man touched her.

“Who is that girl?” I asked the bartender, I needed to confirm.

He lifted up his gaze, “I hear she’s Alicia Donald”. He picked up the telephone and mumbled some incoherent words and then turned to me, “She is at the back of the club”.

I nodded and headed through another exit door. My right hand grazed the butt of my gun as I walked through the dark corridor. I reached another door and kicked it open. Four men immediately pointed their guns at me. I lifted my hand and Becky gestured that they brought it down. I put the Cuban in my mouth and took a deep breath.

“Mrs. Becky, it’s good to see you” I took a deep puff again.

She rolled her eyes, “What do you want?”

“I see that you don’t have time for pleasantries. It’s quite admirable that you’ve moved on so quickly from your husband's death. You even stared a club, its good business”.

Her gaze was impatient, “What do you know about my husband's death. You claimed you were his business associate”.

“Trust me, I know a little about his death. But the knowledge will do you no fucking good at the moment. You see, Donald was a great man who built his wealth through the proceeds of the underworld. If you had noticed, he had quite a lot of Russian friends. I must have pissed off a very great group called the Quadrant”.

“He speaks of that name in whispers” She muttered.

“He owed them a debt which I have little knowledge of. And they will come for everything, they won’t stop. Before I came here, my men carried out a little assignment. Donald has a surviving daughter whom you’ve used as a stripper”.

She scoffed, “The bitch had to be useful, she’s been lazy for too long”.

“It’s not a problem even if you use her as a slut. What matters is taking the Quadrant off your back” I said.

“I still don’t understand you” She replied.

I tossed the Cuban stick away and walked closer to her, “I need Alicia, I’ll buy her from you”.

She scoffed and shook her head, “Dominic Toretto right?”

I nodded, “You are fucking right”.

“You’ve said quite a lot of things that I can’t even understand”.

“Becky Donald, there are things you might not realize now but you eventually will . But the safest way to escape the wrath of the quadrant is to release her to me. I’ll pay ten thousand grand”.

Becky took a deep breath and folded her hands below her breast, “Why do you want Alicia? Do you want her because you want to save me from my Quadrant? Or you want her for yourself”.

A smirk appeared on my face, “All of it! At first, I just wanted to buy her off the radar of the Quadrant. Maybe use her in one of my clubs or use her to deliver my consignment. But seeing her this evening, she is just an element that I can’t place my finger on”.

Becky released a breathe again, “Dominic Toretto, you look like a hard man. Your eyes are cold and you sound so threatening. I’ll ask you one last question”.

My hand slowly lowered itself to the butt of my gun, “What is it?”

“My husband has called your name once. But just in whispers. I barely hear stuffs about his personal business. How do I know that you are truly Dominic Toretto or not some kind of wannabe”.

I immediately pulled out my glock, cocked it and released two bullets into the first two men. The back door busted open and Chris fired two more bullets to the other men. One of them rushed at me with a club, it swerved to the right, grabbed his right hand and twisted it. I fired a bullet into his stomach. I lifted my gaze to Becky who was shaken by the scene.

“Want more proof?” I emptied the cartridge of my gun and loaded another round...
