Alicia's POV

"No, no, don't go, let's leave together...d-don't leave me!" I yelled and jerked up from my deep slumber. The sun was already peeking through the window and the light rays reflected on my body.

It was almost noon, the sun was already peeking through the horizon. the sky was bright and blue. The cool breeze blew the curtains and they danced in rhythm sync. I peeked through the window and it was a beautiful day, the sky was clear and blue. The birds chirped and flew freely, unlike me, who was trapped. Who could not decide for herself? Who was living at the mercy of another Man?

"Oh! The dream. That dream again. I haven't had it in a while now, who?" I muttered to myself, as I sat up on the bed. I felt light and strong. As I strode into the bathroom, I headed straight to the sink, my throat felt sore and dry, and my vision was still blurry I bent over and splashed a handful of water on my face repeatedly and patted my face till I felt fully awake
