Nyx's POV

"I need to go see Mr. Carne" I rapped and pulled my flip-flops from under the bed.

"That will be after you meet with Miss Pendleton, she insisted you see her first the moment you wake up.

Also, have you looked in the mirror since you woke up?" Narin asked with a scrunched nose.

"Why? Is there anything on my face?" I returned, rubbing my face to get whatever it was away.

"You look a mess, roommate, the bathroom is free. Go fix yourself up before you step foot out of here" she snapped and walked to her bed to lie down.

I stood up entirely from my bed and walked to the bathroom as she stated.

Narin was not joking, after all, I could not even recognize myself as I stared at the mirror in front of me.

My eyes looked so dull and my face was still pallid, not to talk of my lips which were chapped and had lost their healthy colour, I looked totally different, in a bad way, though.

My hands traced my face to feel how sunken my cheeks were, I looked starved and malnourished.
