The Beginning Of The Countdown

Alarick paced back and forth in his room, his anger growing with every passing second. He clenched and unclenched his fists, trying to release some of the tension building up inside him. But nothing seemed to work, the anger just kept growing.

He couldn't quite point out what was annoying him, but it was there, gnawing at him from the inside. He tried to reason with himself, to calm down and think logically, but the more he tried, the more frustrated he became.

It was like he was under the control of something, something he couldn't quite explain. It was as if he was bound by invisible shackles that he desperately wanted to break free from by all means.

His mind raced with different thoughts, trying to figure out what could be the cause of his anger. Was it Leanda? Something she did or said? He couldn't tell. All he knew was that he was angry, and it was consuming him from within.
