Jerk Alert

“NUTS?” I CHORTLED “Maybe I am. I’m going nuts over you.”

“Oh, please stop!” Dawn growled.

Dawn walked inside the counter and pretended to be busy. I stood there and stared at her.

“Why are you treating me like this?” I curiously asked. “I’m not the enemy.”

“You are now.”

Dusk suddenly appeared out of nowhere and tapped my back. “Any luck?”

I just shrugged my shoulders. “Your sister is mad at me. I can’t understand why she’s still furious when she’s the one who---”

A rag was thrown at my face that shut me up. My eyes widen as I looked at Dawn. Just imagine how many tables and counters did that rag wiped? My makeup artist and the screen director will be furious if I ended up having a zit!

“Oh my God!” Dusk pulled a wet wipe pack out of her pocket and attended to me. She carefully wiped my face. “Sunrise Dawn!”

“Shut your friend’s mouth or I am going to put the rag inside it!”

“Stop being so harsh on him!” Dusk checked my face. “You okay?” She asked.

I took a deep breath before shifting my gaze at Dawn.

Oh, this is war.

“What? What are you looking at?!” She hissed.

I caught a glimpse of some customers looking at us. Their eyes were filled with curiosity. Afraid that this might go out on media, I quickly walked towards her, not minding the “Staff Only” sign and pulled her inside a small room that seems to be a stock room.

“What are you doing?! You can’t---”

She gasped as I her pinned her on the wall. She tried to set herself free but I held her hands tighter.

“You’re hurting me!” She snarled.

“Do you want to get viral? If one of your customers get to record that on video and post it on social media, you will be hated for the rest of your life! My fans will haunt you! Or maybe not you, but Dusk. Do you want that?”

Her ferocious glare became mild. Now I know what her weakness is.

“If only you just shut that loud mouth of yours earlier then I wouldn’t have done that.”

“So, it’s my fault?” I scoffed. “I was only curious why you’re pissed at me when I did nothing wrong.”

“Why are you even here?! You could have just… I don’t know! Just forget about it!”

Okay… She’s back at it again.

Why is this woman so hot-headed?

“How can I easily forget the woman who just gave me an amorous lap dance?”

I saw how her cheeks quickly turned into red. Even redder than freshly picked tomatoes.

“You didn’t need to remind me of that!” She hissed while glaring at me.

“And because of what you did, our director is asking for your help to improve the movie.”

“I won’t do it!”

“Give me a reason why?” I stared into her eyes, trying to read her mind but she kept escaping my gaze.

“Y-you’re too close!”

I smirked and move even closer. “I won’t move an inch until you tell me why you don’t want to do it.”

“Do I have to repeat myself? Because I’m not an actress! That reason alone should be accepted! Do you want me to ruin the movie?”

“How can you tell if you haven’t tried?”

“You’re just wasting your time! Tell your director that I won’t do it!”

I sighed. “Is there something that I can do to convince you?”

“Let me go and leave!”

“If I leave now, will you do the movie?”

“NO!” She shouted in frustration. “Don’t you understand the word NO?”

“No.” I smiled. “Because I won’t take no for an answer.”

“God you’re annoying!” She hissed.

I set her free and moved few steps back just in case she thought of hitting me. “I’ll come back again tomorrow.”

She squinted her eyes at me and snorted. “I will never say yes to you.”

A smug smile formed on my lips. “We’ll see about that.”

"WHAT THE HECK Sunset Dusk?! Why did you take him here?" I asked my sister who was sitting casually on our favorite spot. No one was on the second floor so I allowed myself to speak a bit louder. 

"I told you not to stick your nose on my business."

I sat down on the chair in front of her. "You crazy? Why do you think I did that?"

She sighed and rolled her eyes. "You could have looked for me. And I said it was Ross, not Caleb. How can you mix that up?"

"Because while we were talking about Ross, you shouted Caleb's full name and then you showed his picture. I got confused, twinning!" I massaged my temple. It was throbbing from too much stress and I can also feel my energy depleting.

“Maybe you’re really not listening to my dilemmas.” She sneered.

“Oh, Lord! Please don’t act gloomy. I can’t tolerate that today. I’m at my limit!”

She rolled her eyes again before sipping on her caramel frappe. “Did Caleb state his reason for coming here?”

“Yes. And it’s absurd.”

“Absurd in what aspect?”

I gawked at her. “Are you for real? Me? Acting as your double? And not to mention it’s for your sexy scenes! I can’t do that!”

Dusk chortled. “My dear twisted sister…” She slowly shook her head. “The director watched the film with us and I was totally shocked. It was really good! I must say very sensual. I never knew you could do that.” She teased.

I covered my face in embarrassment. “Why did you have to watch it! How could you!”

“It was awesome! You were sexy and rough at the same time. Exactly the character I have to portrait. They actually asked me to get approval from you if you will allow them to use it as an official scene in our movie.”

I quickly removed my hands from my face and looked at her bewildered. “Are you serious?”

She squinted her eyes. “Do I look like I’m joking?”

“But that was…”

Her brows moved up and down. “Wanna watch it? I took a video of it.” She excitedly laughed.

I would lie if I tell her that I’m not curious.

“Let me see.”

She grinned and tapped the seat beside her. “You are born as a sexy star, twinning.”

I smacked her forehead. “Cut it!”

“RISE AND SHINE, DAWN!” I heard Dusk’s loud call coming from the kitchen. I slowly opened my eyes and peeked at the clock on the bedside table. It was six in the morning. We open the shop at eight so we still have time to prepare ourselves and eat breakfast. Maybe we could still bond while waiting for the time to pass.

Normally, I would get up around 7 AM since I’m alone. But now that Dusk is here, I should keep her company. She told me last night that she was given a week off because of what happened with her and Ross. They will resume filming next week.

With my eyes still closed, I stood up from my bed and walked towards the kitchen. I stretched my arms up and yawned on my way to the dining table.

“Good morning!” I greeted.

“Dawn!” Dusk accosted that made me open my eyes.

Oh my freaking God!

My eyes widened in shock as soon as I saw Caleb sitting on the chair next to my sister. His eyes were gleaming in amusement.
