Liv's POV
'I WASN'T GOING TO GET ANY SLEEP' That was what I said to myself but on closing my eyes and opening it, the day had already gotten brighter. That was when I realized I actually did sleep. I didn't understand how I could trust Callum so much to fall asleep when I knew he was on heat.I even felt somewhat safe around him and I did sleep like a baby.Waking up, I realized he was no longer sleeping beside me. I got up from the bed and then the memories of what happened the previous night came flooding back. My heart skipped. It all dawned on me that my three bullies turned out to be my mates. The thought alone made me visibly shake. I knew I couldn't hide in his room forever and had to actually face the reality. I wasn't ready to accept it. What I planned to do was simply tell them there was no way we could be mates after the years of torture they subjected me to.With that determination, I walked out of the room. I wasn't going to confront them though. I would wait for me to run into any of them. If they tried what they did the previous day, then I would drop the bombshell.Even with that boost of confidence I gave myself, I still found myself peeping before entering anywhere to make sure I didn't bump into any of them. It was so hard for me because everywhere I went, their strong overpowering scent lingered all over the placeAfter escaping the huge mansion. I went back to the staff quarters and only then was I able to heave a sigh of relief. I walked straight to my room and then I locked the door. Was this how I was going to spend the rest of my life? Living with apprehension? Why why why did it have to be them? Of all people? I sat on my little bed, rummaging my hair with my hands.I knew I couldn't stay in my room forever, I would have to face them if I wanted to tell them I wasn't interested, but how on earth was I supposed to do that if I couldn't bear the thought of even standing up to them? One glare from any of them, I would be shaking like a leaf. While still in my thoughts, there was a loud bang on my door. My heart left my chest as my eyes widened. The only thing I could think of was the possibility of it being them.My hands were shaking by my side as my lips quivered."Open the door Liv. I saw you walk in!" I heard the voice of Mrs Yvonne instead.Never in my life had I been more glad to hear her voice. I rushed to the door after my tensed body had relaxed and then I opened it."Good morning_" She raised her hand to shun me."You walked in and you locked the door? what's this? Disney land? Don't you have any job to do this morning?"It then dawned on me that I wasn't even supposed to leave the mansion without finishing all my jobs in the first place."I am so sorry, I will get to work now" I brushed past her, but before I could make it out, she stopped me.Staring at me from up to down, she shook her head in contempt. "Anyway, the triplets want you to be the one to deliver their food today"The moment she said that, my heart dropped out of my chest. "What?""Have you got something stuck up in your ear?"I swallowed hard as I shook my head "No ma'am. I was just confused because I am not the maid in charge of their meals"She shrugged. "I'm not the one who makes the rules. They are the Alpha's sons. If they want you to be their maid, you are going to be their maid. I don't have a say in that""Oh," my lips failed to produce more words. I could literally feel my heart thumping inside my chest. If care wasn't taken, I would have passed out."And don't stall. They don't like waiting. So get to work!"I rushed away from her because I knew the moment Mrs Yvonne gave an order, she expected it to be carried out as soon as possible. While I ran to the mansion, I almost cried at how doomed I was, but I had to hold myself.I had thought I would have to make their meal before serving it to them, but on getting to the kitchen, the meal was already made by one of the maids. The only thing I needed to do was deliver it to them. It looked like a complete setup. With my trembling hands, I grabbed the tray, then I walked down to the room address I was given. 'relax, relax, relax'I couldn't count how many times I said that to myself. On getting to the door, I took some time to steady myself, and then I finally brought my hands to knock."Just come in already Liv" A deep voice called out, the tone filled with desperation and impatience. It belonged to MaxThere was no doubt they had all been waiting for me!My hand trembled while I struggled to open the door with the tray in my hands. Deep within me, I hoped the door would never open because I didn't know how I could face them. On getting inside, their three scents hit me all at once,I gulped, staring at them, who already had their intense gaze on me. Max was sitting on the bed with both his hands, resting on it. Callum sat, straddling a backward chair, arms folded and smirking at me. Ryder sat on the desk, not too far from Callum and he was looking at me like I was some snack he could feast on."Finally, there's the star of the show" Callum was the first to speak.I raised the tray in my hands. "I was asked to get food for you guys" My voice came out soft and shaky."Fuck the food. You are here. That's just so much better" Ryder let out with a mischievous grin on his face.Callum nudged him, scowling at him. "C'mon you guys have already scared her enough yesterday night""It's not my damn fault. My wolf is out of control. There's a whole drama going on in this body as we speak""I am not_" I was still trying to speak when Max cut in.Narrowing his eyes, turning to Ryder. "You think that is bad. My wolf wouldn't stop composing songs about her yesterday night"Were they really going to talk about me like I wasn't here?I tried to speak again. "I...""I think we should tell Dad about this. He has always wanted us to have a mate". Ryder suggested"No doubt we all want this. Dad might consider it, but Mum though? We are forgetting she is an omega" Callum said tilting his head to the side, assessing me."She has to bloody accept it. There is no way I am leaving my mate for fear of judgment""How sweet of you" Callum spat out with sarcasm. "After bullying her for years?""It's not like you were a saint anyway""At least I wasn't being a total jerk""you see 'total' that's the key word" Ryder pointed out."What are you insinuating Ryder?" Callum snapped at him in an angry tone.I knew I had to stop them before it got out of hand."Enough!" I shot out fiercely, dropping the tray in my hands on the table. There was this anger coursing in me after I heard Ryder suggest they were going to introduce me to their father.Just like that? They weren't even going to apologize for the mental torture and the fear they instilled in me. Did they just expect me to accept all this and we would all live happily ever after?I took a deep breath, looking at them stare at me like I was a foreigner after I had yelled a stop."I don't know what you all want from me, but I need to assure you all, that if you are concerned about the mate bond, it isn't going to stand"I watched the color all drain from their face. "What are you talking about Liv?" Max spoke up immediately with worry in his tone"It isn't going to stand," I repeated. "How more do you want me to put it for you?" I took a shaky deep breath. "For years, I have been tortured by all of you, both mentally and physically, and just because we suddenly become mates overnight, you expect me to move on and accept everything you did to me?"There was a brief silence. Ryder looked the most devastated by my sudden refusal."But that's in the past Liv" Ryder spoke out calmly, trying to get me to see reasons.I lost it. "The past?! It happened days ago. And even if it was in the past, do you think I can ever move on from that?!"I paused, staring at all of them before blurting out the words "I, Liv Anderson, reject you all as my mate. I am not interested""What!" Max snapped."You really need to think this through Liv" Ryder spoke out immediately.Callum, who seemed indifferent, spoke. "And what are we supposed to do after that information?"I clenched my fist by my side. "You are to accept my rejection and we would part ways with each other"He kept his intense fixated gaze on me as he spoke in a cold tone, "Over my dead fucking body"Vote guys🤗
Liv's POV I gulped when he said that, searching for the next thing I was going to say because I was completely dumbstruck. Staring at Callum and the devilish smirk he had on his face, he was obviously enjoying himself. "Liv, it's that simple, we can't accept your rejection. We waited 2 years" Ryder spoke up after Callum. "I mean we were supposed to get our mates when we were 18. We had to wait for 2 years until you finally turned 18 and now you want us to easily accept the rejection" I clenched my fist by my side. "And what if I don't want this?" I gritted out. Max turned to his brothers, totally ignoring what I had said. "I think we started on the wrong note. We scared her at first. We should start afresh" Callum and Ryder nodded, and then Callum spoke. "You are right. We need to know her more" he turned to me. "So tell me Liv, what do you like in bed?" Ryder groaned in frustration. "You were the one who said we shouldn't fucking scare her." "What? A little sex talk wouldn't h
Liv's POV With tears trickling from my eyes, I left the room, walking to the kitchen angrily. On getting there, I leaned against the wall, sobbing hard. Why the hell did it have to be them? They were bound to torture me all the days of my life and they wouldn't even do me a favor of accepting my rejection. Apart from being angry at nature for making them my mate, I was also angry at myself. I knew that even if I was filled with rage now, it wouldn't take long before I would fall for all their kindness when I knew they didn't deserve it. That was how the mate bond worked. Since we were already connected somewhat, It was bound to happen. If they cornered me and decided to mark me against my will, then it was over, I was officially trapped. There was no second chance mate for me until they were dead. I rummaged my hands through my hair. I had never felt so stuck in my life. I wanted to make them pay so badly, for everything they did to me, but I knew I couldn't. Another thing they w
Liv's POV Being as careful as possible, I made my way through the quiet hallway of the mansion, making sure not to make a sound. That was useless since they could already smell me from a mile away, so the moment I entered the mansion, they probably already knew. I had convinced myself that if I ran into any of them and they tried anything silly, I was going to fight them till my last breath. After roaming around for a while, I realized for me to find my room, I needed to ask any of them. I breathed out a sigh of frustration as I started walking to where their rooms were. Their rooms were close to each other, so I had to convince myself which of them was saner for me to ask my question. On getting to where their rooms were, I realized I didn't even need to ask. Right after their 3 rooms arranged in a line, was a room which had my name inscribed on it. LIV'S ROOM, KEEP OFF A little chuckle escaped my lips. Was the write-ups really necessary? Shaking my head with a sigh, I walked
Liv's POV There was a car waiting for me outside. I would have gone home instead of going to Highland University, but the burning rage inside of me deterred me from doing so. They needed to know they couldn't get away with everything they did. I grabbed my bag and walked out of the school. I hated the fact that I had no choice since the Alpha was involved, which was strange. I planned on letting the triplets know that I wasn't happy with this and forcing me into doing things I didn't want wouldn't make me forgive them. Right outside the school was a Rolls Royce with the Alpha symbol on it. The Alpha symbol was a gold shield that had a wolf in the middle and the name of our pack, inscribed at the bottom. The shield was placed on any property owned by the Alpha's family. Right in front of the Rolls Royce were two guards. They scanned the areas like predators and when one of them sighted me, he looked at a photo in his hand and then he informed the other guard to look at me. He conf
Liv’s POVMy hand had already connected with Ryder's face before I came to my senses and the gravity of what I had done dawned on me. The gasps that escaped the lips of the other students, and the look of disbelief on their faces, made me realize that I wasn't dreaming. This wasn't one of those moments where I lay in my bed daydreaming about paying them back; this was really happening. My eyes met with one of the triplet who looked at me like what I just did was beyond comprehension. And it was!I just slapped him, not just anybody but one of the future alphas of the pack. Any rage I was feeling prior to that moment was long gone, replaced by pure dread and regret. Without daring to look at the triplets, I dashed out of the room, fishing the map out of my pocket as I frantically tried to smooth it without tearing it apart and find my way back to the entrance. Finding my way out was as hard as finding my way in, and with a turbulent mind, shaky legs, and teary eyes, it was even ha
"Line up you dimwits!" Mrs Yvonne's voice boomed, reverberating along the walls. Her voice was enough to temporarily knock the fear of the three devils out of me. The three maids that had been losing it suddenly composed themselves and were standing up straight, dusting and patting their gowns for invisible dust I couldn't see. I turned to Mrs Yvonne and I saw perspiration forming on her forehead. She wiped her glass and glared at me. "What do you think you are doing? Line up! Join the line!" She motioned toward the maids who were standing in order. I joined them at the end and they glared at me, making a show of even shifting away from me as if I would stain them with my Omega blood but I wasn't bothered. I was bothered about what would happen to me, what Ryder would do to me. My fears had come back, my knees were slightly trembling. Any efforts I made to steel myself failed. I had pulled the last straw, this was the end. The door opened with a large jam, as though it had been
My face was doused with makeup that I would never dream of affording. One glimpse at the tubes I saw on the table in front of me and I knew it was worth me six times over. The maids helped me to the bathroom so that I could be "cleansed" as Erisa said. Yes, her name was Erisa, because I had heard the maids call her by that name. "But I already had my bath," I protested. Even though my bath was more than seven hours ago. Erisa looked at me with reduced disgust, her disdained look had reduced in intensity after that threat by Callum. "Look Om—young woman, it is important that you are very clean for my art to work on you," she explained in a very posh way that very wealthy high-born werewolves spoke. The maids were more gentle in the bath than I had expected. The treatment I was getting was more than I could have ever dreamed of. It was as if one of my wildest dreams had come to reality. Our roles were reversed, they were taking care of me, am Omega with no name or house. They finishe
"Over my dead body!"Rebecca's words echoed across the large halls, increasing in intensity as if she had some type of special ability that did it. It traveled to everyone in the hall, guard, and servant alike until it fell to my ears. I blinked twice. The Luna got out of her table and folded her hands. She looked at her sons and shook her head. "It better be one of your casual jokes, if not, I will never let my boys take an Omega as their mate." The way she pronounced the word Omega bitterly shook me to my core. I took a step back and my breathing quickened. I looked at my shoes, and I saw that my vision was becoming blurry. Tears? Yes, they were tears. I was hurt again, on a larger scale. Max tried to reason. "But—"The Luna walked out on them and headed for the door. She didn't even look in my direction; it was as if I didn't even exist to begin with. Some guards escorted her out of the hall, their footsteps becoming distant as they walked. I looked up and my eyes met with the
Liv's POV Wake up, Liv! Wake up! Liv! I opened my eyes immediately and found myself lying on the floor of a room where I could barely see a thing. My wolf had been calling for hours. Although it was difficult to see in the room, I was strongly convinced that it wasn't my cell room. The floor was finished with slate unlike my cell room which was raw concrete. Moreover, if it was my cell room, I wouldn't be sleeping on the floor. I wouldn't even have rolled off to the floor because my bed was too big for that.. I tried to get up from the floor and a sharp ache hit the back of my neck. "Argh." I groaned, before carefully placing my palm on the spot and massaging it gently. And in that moment when I touched the spot where I felt the ache, a brief memory flashed through my head. I recalled being hit on that spot. And it happened in my cell room. Slowly, it all started coming back to me. Max! He had definitely sent that soldier back to my cell to knock me out. But what for? I folded
Callum's POV Max stood close to one of the glass walls of his penthouse. His back faced the door where I entered from and he didn't bother turning around to look at me. "Coming up here all alone, Callum, is a bold sign that you underestimate me so much," he said in a soft tone. "Cut the crap and tell me where you hid her," I ordered. He chuckled, throwing his head back. "Tell you where she is? Do you really want to know, Callum? Huh?" He shoved a feet backward in order to turn. "Don't dare it," I ordered. "Don't fucking move." "Huh? Don't tell me you're scared to look me in the face," he taunted. I gritted my teeth hard. "I promise you, Max, make another silly move and I will pull this fucking trigger. I swear on my life." "Bloody dare it," he taunted and finally turned around. I aimed the gun at his chest, carefully to shift it slightly from his heart. Then I pulled the trigger. What I expected to be a bang came out as a soft click sound. My orbs flew wide. When d
Callum's POVWhen I heard noises coming from the vent, I knew Ryder had arrived. But something baffled me. It had been more than thirty minutes now since the alarm went off, and yet, not a single man from Max's army had showed up.Climbing down from the vent, Ryder's brows lifted with surprise at the pile of enemy corpses heaped at a corner of the laundry room. "Quite some work you did here," he chuckled."Shut up," I mumbled, heightening my senses as the tip of my ears stood on edge.I went closer to the wall and placed my ear on it, listening carefully."They're coming," I blurted out immediately I started hearing footsteps approaching. "A lot of them. I think we're outnumbered.""That won't be a problem," Ryder said. "I came prepared."The moment he said that, I heard a heavy bang in the vent and two people murmuring and cussing at each other.Seeing a smile grow on Ryder's face, I raised a questioning brow."They're with us," he said, easing my nerves. Two soldiers came down from
Callum's POVThree trucks were ready to roll out, two loaded with arms and the last one with the tools for opening the tunnel. There were four men in each truck, except the last one which had just three of us.All the guns were muffled with silencers, and then, I instructed my men not to shift for any reason. We needed to do everything possible to avoid attracting attention to us as our group wasn't much of a force. As we drove closer to the location of the tunnel that led into the Darkmoon pack, we turned down our lights just in case some of Maxs guards were there. Luckily, there werent."Take your positions," I ordered the armed soldiers, tucking a pistol into the back of my trousers as I climbed down the truck. With a group of three soldiers who grabbed the equipment we had brought to cut the tunnel open, I went to the mouth of the tunnel. The foul stench of dead rodents hit my nose as we got to the entrance of the tunnel to inspect it. A channel that hadn't been used by our pack f
Callum's POVReturning to Dark sky pack with just a diary wasn't what I'd expected from my meeting with Samantha. Not after the risk we'd both taken to meet up in the woods of the Darkmoon. But the fact that Max kept a diary had me thinking and rethinking. If someone had told me he owned a diary, like a girl, I'd have doubted with every ounce of certainty.A sigh left me and I tucked the shitty diary into the pit of my arms.Ryder had a cup of hot coffee with him when I returned, his legs crossed as he rested them on the table while leaning back on his seat. He had never been a lover of coffee. Definitely, he was battling sleep. And yes, executing our plan had taken hell of time. But I'd rather bear that delay than a shameful defeat coming from advancing to fight Max without a proper plan."How did it go?" Ryder asked, dropping his coffee on the table."You mean the meeting with Samantha?" I purposely asked him."What else would I mean?" He queried. But I was pretty sure that if he p
Max's POVI smirked immediately I sighted Samantha’s figure emerge from the woods."Fucking bitch," I grinned. People who mistook silence for foolishness or weakness were the ones I despised the most. She froze in her tracks at the moment she saw me with my soldiers. With my senses heightened, I could hear her heartbeat throbbing fast, like a rat running out of its hole only to meet a cat waiting there for it."M-a-x," her lips quaked, ready to blurt a lie. But I didn't have the time for that.I had wasted much time already, all of which Callum had taken advantage of."It's not what you—" she tried to say, but I shushed her.Pointing at her, I ordered the soldiers who were with me, "arrest her!"A bitch like her deserved to rot in jail. Starved and punished without remorse."Please, Max. Don't do this!" She screamed as they dragged her away. She was the least of my problems. If she had some sense, she should have been able to tell from the start that I'd been following her with cauti
Callum's POVA beep on my phone. It was Samantha. My fingers became fast to touch the screen immediately I saw it was from her."Found something that could be helpful," the text said, "but you have to be careful so he doesn't notice something is off."I shot a gaze at Ryder who stood just beside me and had read the text along with me. "We need to get to her ASAP," I suggested. "We can't sleep on any slightest chance to push our plan further.""Definitely." Ryder nodded, his arms folded across his chest. "Now, what's a good location to meet up with her?""In the empty apartment of your brain—" Someone's voice intruded from the far end of the hall.My veins tense immediately I realized it was Frank. I gritted my teeth hard, fighting hard to suppress my irritation. I knew it was speak of the devil and he'd show up. But no one spoke about this bastard. Not even a single thought. He began to clap his hands as he approached. "Yeah, what a smart plan put together by two grown men at the di
Liv's POVAt the back of my head, I knew that going through someone's else's property without permission was a bad thing to do. At that moment I didn't want to think about what was wrong or right. There wasn't any time left to judge myself.I felt as though I could find something very important inside of this diary. I was curious to know, especially when I was aware of a diary being a person's first friend. It was hard for me though. For the fact that I wasn't used to taking people's stuffs without their permission but I might never get this chance again. I swiveled my head to Max's direction, he was still asleep. It looked as though he wasn't going to wake up at the soonest so I had enough time to my self. I flipped through some more pages but I was astonished at what I saw. Why was it blank? there was nothing written in it. Was this just to mislead me? did Max know about my plan before hand? No it wasn't possible and I knew for a fact I was right in thinking so.I almost slammed the
Liv's POVMy fingers slowly found the buttons of his shirt. I began to unbutton his shirt, my eyes were fixated on him. The way he stared at me was as though he had set his eyes on me for the first time.I walked behind him, removing the shirt off his body. I wrapped my arm around his neck, his back pressed against my bossoms. I began to caress his chest, I didn't fail to notice when his eyelids closed in the pleasure which consumed him.A sly smile beamed on the side of my lips. I thought it was a hard thing to do but it was so easy to pull him close to me.“I'm sorry" I leaned closer, whispering into his ears. I blew my breath on his earlobe as I dropped his shirt on the bed.“Why are you suddenly acting this way towards me?" he asked. His gaze pierced through my eyes, I stared back at him through the mirror.“What way is that? I really don't know what you're talking about” I said, acting completely ignorant. I turned my body away from him.He grabbed my wrist. I stopped right in tr
