"Entry 43, 1st of June, 2023," Dr. Jarvis said into a small recorder he was holding as he stood in his laboratory.

"I have attempted to replicate the blood samples gotten from patient 106 and now, the serum will be injected into a sample of the replication," he added and walked closer to a desk with buttons of different sizes and colors.

He pulled a small lever down slowly and a machine hissed as it slowly lowered a syringe onto a small microscopic slide containing tiny droplets of blood.

A drop of clear white liquid dropped from the syringe onto the slide before the machine moved away from the slide.

Dr. Jarvis and his lab assistant looked at the magnified process taking place on a screen.

"The serum appears to be successfully bonding with the blood cells," Dr. Jarvis said with hope in his eyes as he watched the reaction keenly.

The hopeful glint in Dr. Jarvis's eyes suddenly disappeared and was replaced with worry.
