"No, they were here," I said and Aaron faced me with his eyebrows raised in confusion and inquisitiveness.

"Do you know something?" He asked and I nodded, looking over my shoulder a bit at the bartender who was staring at us.

"I do," I replied.

"The bartender lied. In fact, he specifically knows who Damain is," I said and Aaron looked even more confused.

"I read his mind," I explained and Killian stopped walking immediately.

"What?!" He exclaimed quietly and I nodded to affirm what I had just said.
