Tame Game: Be His Hostess

"Do you Eduardo, take Emily to be your lawful wedded wife?"

He didn't say Anything, Emily called his name with a worried look, just enough for both of them to here, but the crowd could read the lips, Eduardo didn't look fazed, he stared pass her. Emily turn to smile at the crowd trying to reassure everyone.

The priest repeated the vow " do you Eduardo Rodriguez take Emily to be your lawful wedded wife?" 

The groom still didn't reply.

The chapel broke into murmurs,

A lady stood up from the front row seat, walked towards the groom, whispering somethings to him and then return to her sit with a reassuring smile.

Lisa didn't understand any of this, she rarely attend wedding but she knows they are not supposed to go like this, this was the first wedding she had attended in years, her uncle only allowed her to attend because she would be working as a server at the event, his way of contributing to his close friend's daughter's wedding, was to have his niece work for free.

"I am sorry, Emily, I can't, I can't do this" the groom finally spoke up, raking his hands through his hair and slightly messing it up.

The chapel went silent, everyone was trying to hear every bit of what was going on the most talked about wedding in America, ever since it was announced, the news couldn't get enough of it, it was talked about at least twice a day, two of the most richest and powerful family's children were getting married,it was a sight to behold on, the news would be juicy, Lisa rolled her eyes, she wish could be anywhere else.

"What are you saying" her voice was shaking, she was minutes away from crying.

"I can't get married to you Emily, I just can't" she said this time, firmly, another round of murmurs broke out.

"What do you mean you can't, we are in love, we.. we"

Eduardo cut her in " I thought I was in love with you"

Tears  were already flowing from Emily's eyes and messing her makeup, Lisa doubt she knew she was going to cry like this 

"What did I do?" She asked, barely able to say a word without shaking.

Lisa felt a pang of pity for her she couldn't imagine how she would feel if she found her self in a situation like this.

For the first time since the wedding, Eduardo smiled " you didn't do anything Emily, I just can't get married to someone I am not inlove with" he stepped back removing the ring she had gave him and handed it to the priest.

The woman who her stood up earlier who Lisa presumed to be the mother of the groom stood up and asked him " Eduardo what I you doing?"

Eduardo turned to face her " I am sorry mama, I am deeply in love with someone else, I have been for a while now"

Emily lost her balance

This time the crowd broke into a louder murmuring.

Phones were in the air trying to get footage of everything.

While you were engaged to my daughter?" Another woman stood up and lunged towards Eduardo but was stopped in her tracks by a middle aged man, Lisa presumed she was the bride's parents, the resemblance was uncanny, blonde hair, slender nose, blue eyes and the supermodel figure.

Eduardo wasn't fazed by her antics,  he turned to Emily "I never wanted to hurt you, but I can't get married to you while she is carrying my child"

Emily froze, then burst into another round of cry, her bridesmaids knelt besides her trying to console her, her make up were all messed up, looked less of the supermodel, Lisa remember to be the cover of every magazines.

"Why, why, what does she have that I lack? Eduardo what do you see in her that.." she sniffle unable to finish what she was saying.

Eduardo smiled again " Everything, I see everything in her, can't imagine spending my life without her and she is here"

Lisa shock her head, Rich people. This was unbelievable, talking about your mistress and inviting her to your wedding, and smiling about it, he was truly a jerk.

The crowd couldn't stop murmuring, this only happens one in a blue moon and or it doesn't happen at all, this was new "billionaire invites his mistress to his wedding then call it off at the altar" Lisa thought, headlines like this would be in the news for months.

Emily, stopped crying, she pushed the hands of her bridesmaids consoling her and stood up.

"Where is the slut, where is the whore ?" She yelled, everyone kept quiet and start looking around, Lisa too, she didn't like being her but the drama was worth it.

"How dare you show up at my wedding? Eduardo where is the bitch" she walked towards Eduardo, pulling his shirt, he gently but firmly removed her hands and walked down from the altar, everyone's eyes following his every move.

He walked to the back of the chapel, then came back to the front.

"His lover is really here, the nerve of this man"  Lisa thought but her eyes never leaving him, as if sensing her strong gaze on him, he turned to look at her, their eyes locked, Lisa felt something skip in her, he broke the eye contact and continue his search.

"Eduardo where is she!" Emily screamed causing the crowd to look at her before quickly returning their gaze back to him. Curiousity was running in everyone's eyes.

He circled the chapel, before walking down the path where Lisa, was standing, his eyes held hers and smiled, he walked majestically but he was able to close the gap between lisa and him in a few strides.

When he finally reached her, he took her hands, gently massage it and kiss it.

"Hi amor, I did it, I did it for us"

Lisa froze as all eyes turned to her.
