The path to the cemetery was rough, a winding path of doubt and shadows. Rafe drove, his face a mask of concentration, while little Ani lay still in his arms, her feverish whispers barely audible.

"This is the way Ani showed me," I murmured as I watched the dense trees pass by.

Ani's eyes fluttered open, weak but alert. "Mom... Dad..." she murmured, her voice echoing in the street.

As we approached the grave, she experienced a noticeable shift. Her fever seemed to be fading, and her breathing became less laboured. I looked at Rafe, my brow furrowed in perplexity. "Why does coming here help her?"

Rafe shrugged, his gaze fixed on the graves. "There are many things in this world we don't understand, Luna."

Ani's grandmother, an elderly woman, joined us, her steps slow and measured. "I keep her for six days until she recovers," she explained, her voice sad. "She misses her parents terribly." "All she has left of them are their graves."

A wave of sadness washed over me as I heard this. Ani

Morning broke through the thin curtains casting a soft glow on Anne's little feverish face. She looked a little better, but her cheeks were still flushed with the remnants of the fever.Suddenly, the morning peace was disturbed by a series of loud knocks. I froze, my heart pounding as I moved towards the door.I opened it and was stunned to see Faghri standing there, his eyes searching for an answer I didn't know."How did you find me here?" – I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.Faghri shrugged, a hint of a smile appearing on his lips. – I asked around the village. It wasn't difficult.I'm at a loss for words when it comes to this guy. Before I could answer, Rafe emerged from the shadows of the house, his eyes narrowing at the sight of Faghri."What are you doing here?" – he asked in a low and dangerous voice. “I'm looking for a place to stay. Just like you."Faghri met Rafe's gaze. Rafe's jaw tightened.“This is not a guesthouse. You can't stay here."“I've already talked to t

The atmosphere in the living room was thick with tension, almost suffocating. Rafe's gaze on Faghri was intense, like an arrow aimed straight at its target. The air was charged, a silent standoff between two strong-willed men. Then, an elderly woman's voice, heavy with sorrow, broke the silence."Ani... she was always so full of life, so joyful," she reminisced, her eyes distant and clouded with memories. Though I knew the tragedy of Ani's parents' untimely deaths, it felt like pieces of their story were still missing."Ani's parents were the heart of our village," she continued, her voice shaking."Always the first to help, always there for everyone." Her words painted a vivid image of Ani's parents, pillars of kindness in the community."But everything changed after that day they went into the forest." Her voice faltered, heavy with a sorrow that had clearly never left her.She spoke of a mysterious illness that followed their forest excursion, an illness that ravaged them and left

I paced anxiously outside Ani's bedroom, the door yawning open to reveal the stark emptiness inside. "Ani's gone!" I yelled, the words bouncing off the walls, laden with panic. The old lady, usually so composed, was now a vision of sorrow, her eyes glistening with tears."Just a moment ago, she was here," I muttered, my mind racing with confusion and dread. Where on earth could Ani be?We tore through the house, our footsteps pounding in a frenzied search that turned up nothing but the stark reality of her absence.Extending our search to the neighbors yielded nothing but sympathetic shrugs and puzzled looks. It dawned on us with a sinking heart: we were at a dead end.A sudden thought struck me like a lightning bolt. "The grave!" I exclaimed, the idea dawning bright and clear."We need to check Ani's parents' grave." Understanding flashed in Rafe and Faghri's eyes, and we quickly set off.The cemetery greeted us with an eerie silence. Ani's parents' grave was meticulously tended, a

I leaned forward, curious about every detail.“Is there a fuller story to the legend of the chained wolf?” The words flowed from my mouth in a mixture of curiosity and admiration. The old woman, with wrinkles on her face that reflected stories, sighed heavily, as if the weight of the story was weighing on her soul.“You're looking for a taboo version, young Luna,” her voice is a whisper of the past.“This story… is a darker thread in the weave of our village. "A long time ago there lived a man and a woman who were deeply in love."Her eyes glowed with the flicker of an old flame.“But as the stories say, the village chief's son also fell in love with this girl. An ordinary girl entangled in a violent love triangle.:A pause hung in the air, thick with anticipation.“To sort out this tangle, a competition was organized. Each suitor was expected to make jewelry for the woman. An attempt at devotion.”The story took a turn as she leaned in closer.“The village chief's son knew the secret

The night air bit at my cheeks as we trudged back home without Ani. Silence weighed heavy on us, each lost in their thoughts. I glanced at Faghri and noticed his furrowed brow, a clear sign of his pensive mood."What's on your mind?" I broke the silence.Faghri hesitated, his gaze distant. "Remember the discussion near the grave today? It reminded me of something," he murmured.Intrigued, I leaned closer. "Which discussion?""The one about the bracelet," he said, his eyes flickering to something unseen.I was about to press for more when I noticed Rafe, seemingly uninterested but listening intently."Faghri, where did you get that bracelet again?" I inquired, trying to connect the dots.He shifted uncomfortably. "I found it in a cave in the forest. You remember, right? It was when I was being chased by those three wolves."My eyes widened. "Yes, I remember. Can you show it to me?"Faghri reached for his bag on the floor. He rummaged through it, his movements growing frantic. Suddenly,

I stand alone in front of this old house feeling lost in a sea of thoughts. "Why does trouble keep finding me?" I whisper into the chilly night air feeling alone and worried. The air feels extra heavy tonight because we still haven't found Ani. Suddenly a strange yet pleasant smell drifts by. It's a mix of flowers and something else I can't quite name. It's unusual but it calms me. The fear that's been gnawing at me slowly starts to fade. I glance at the necklace I'm wearing. It's an antique piece that Rafe won at the auction. This necklace has a history of making eerie singing sounds at odd times. Driven by a sudden curiosity I bring it up to my nose. The same soothing scent is coming from it. But the scent doesn't just come from the necklace. It's floating around in the air too like an invisible path beckoning me to follow. Making up my mind I start walking quietly asking myself. "Where is this leading me?" As I walk the world around me suddenly goes dark. In this darkness

In the early morning's muted light my eyes slowly opened within the confines of the cave. A veil of surrealism hung in the air blurring the lines between the dream world and reality.I lay there for a moment letting my senses acclimate to this curious setting. My gaze eventually settled on Ani whose peaceful slumber seemed undisturbed. In her hand she held a bracelet its subtle glow casting a soft light in the dimness—a beacon of mystery in our shadowy refuge.I felt an urge gentle yet persistent to reach out to her. Whispering Ani's name I tried to lessen the distance between us but an unseen barrier held me back.Puzzled I tried once more yet the same invisible force denied me. A sense of unease began to creep in heightened by the sound of approaching footsteps echoing off the cave walls. The rhythm of these steps both foreign and oddly familiar quickened my heartbeat.I turned my pulse racing to confront the source of the noise. In a dimly lit cave a sense of foreboding engulfed me as the wolf's intense eyes locked onto mine. Underneath its ferocity I detected a familiar undertone a secret teetering on the brink of revelation."Are you the Chained Wolf from the legends?" I asked my voice barely audible. The wolf's mouth curved into a human-like grin. In front of me it shimmered and morphed into a human form. My heart raced he resembled the being that had earlier possessed Rafe."Have you met another version of me?" he inquired his voice echoing in the cave.I frowned in confusion. "What do you mean by another version?"He sighed a sound filled with centuries of weariness. "In each life I fail endlessly wandering lost."His words painted a picture of his tragic existence. "Why have you brought me here?" I asked curiosity in my tone."To satisfy a curiosity." he said his gaze intense. "I've been watching you since you entered our territory.""What do you want to know about me?" I asked feeling his intense scrut

We visited my grandmother's grave and found the place unkempt. As Rafe had mentioned, her grave had remained intact, contradicting my belief that it had been torn down due to the surrounding new construction."Luna, come on," Rafe urged, leading me to the cemetery.I grabbed some tools and started clearing the overgrown grass."Why hasn't this cemetery been torn down?" I asked, aware of the ruthless business tactics often employed these days, where even homes are not spared for the sake of profit."The company that owns the adjacent property is having financial difficulties," Rafe informed me.Then he added, "I plan to buy all that land," leaving me stunned."Thank you," I said, realizing that expressing gratitude had become a habit for me. I truly appreciated all that he had done. After tending to the grave, Rafe and I decided to dine at a nearby restaurant. Its simple charm was refreshing, a reminder of how much I missed such unpretentious places.Having spent the past month indulgi

I never thought it would end. The last few months have been really exhausting for me and I'm glad they're finally over."Luna, what are you going to wear?" Rafe asked as he approached me with a group of people behind him. They seemed to be famous fashion designers."What do you think would look good on me?" I replied, bringing out Rafe's playful side."Anything looks good on you, Luna," he flirted, earning nothing more than a playful flick of my tongue in return. Rafe laughed heartily, his demeanor so different from before. He seemed much more alive and approachable now, almost like a new person."Did you hear about Faghri? He's going to run for president," Rafe announced, taking me completely by surprise. Faghri, once notorious for his ruthless ways, had transformed himself into a respectable figure, and now he was eyeing the presidency."Rafe, you're serious, aren't you?" I asked, looking for confirmation in his expression. He nodded solemnly, confirming the surprising news."I'm se

That morning, the shocking news reverberated across all media platforms, sending waves of disbelief around the world. Television programs, newspapers, and online outlets all carried the same headline: "Assassination at the President's Office: President Etas fatally shot by trusted aide". The uniformity of the reports, which all followed the same chronology, was striking, with not a single source challenging the narrative of President Etas' untimely demise. In stark contrast to this grim news, a more personal story was unfolding in an old but grand home. Here, Rafe and Aline were seen in a tender embrace, their affection evident in front of Rafe's parents. The atmosphere was one of familial warmth and impending change."Rafe, have you decided who you are going to marry?" inquired Rafe's father, a hint of expectation in his voice. Rafe's answer was a nod, followed by a frank admission, "Legally, I am married to Luna. But in matters of the heart, not yet." His words revealed a complicate

The presidential palace was eerily quiet that day, a stark contrast to the tightly secured perimeter outside. Inside, however, the atmosphere in the President's private chamber was anything but calm.Aline's father, the President, was visibly seething with rage. His face was contorted with rage, the veins on his neck were pronounced, and his body tensed as if ready to spring into action. The anger inside him had reached a boiling point."Bastards! I'll kill them all," he roared, the words thick with raw emotion. The tragic death of his daughter Aline had devastated him. Ironically, he had denied her Secret Service protection out of respect for her wishes to engage in something illegal, a decision he now bitterly regretted."I swear, everyone involved will pay," he bellowed, his tone dripping with vehemence. In a fit of desperation, he threw a paper across his desk, his demeanor mirroring that of someone lost in a terrifying episode of unbridled madness. At that moment, there was a ten

On the other side of the picturesque park where love once blossomed, next to a quiet street, Faghri sat alone, lost in thought."It seems I took too long to realize it," he murmured to himself, reflecting on his past mistakes. It was a moment of deep regret for Poria. He lamented that he had not met Luna earlier and thought about a different fate."If I had met Luna earlier, would I have been the one she loved?" Faghri wondered aloud. He sat brooding in solitude, struggling with a fate that seemed inexplicable and unfair."Never mind," he finally sighed, trying to accept what he couldn't change. As tears trickled down his cheeks, Faghri quickly wiped them away, trying to regain his composure.Looking back, he noticed that Luna and Rafe had returned. They seemed to have reconciled and returned to normal. Faghri watched them, a mixture of relief and sadness in his heart."How was it? Was the curse finally lifted?" asked Faghri, trying to maintain a calm and undisturbed demeanor regardin

Rafe stood dangerously close to the edge, his eyes a lifeless gray that reflected his apparent resignation to ending his life."Rafe!" Luna's voice broke through the tense air, a mixture of fear and relief coloring her tone.Rafe turned, his expression one of disbelief. "Why are you here?" he asked, his words laced with disbelief.Without a word, Luna delivered a powerful punch to Rafe's cheek, leaving him momentarily stunned. Her voice, trembling with a cocktail of emotions, scolded him, "What's the point of us surviving all this time if you're just going to throw your life away?"As Rafe looked at her, his eyes changed, darkening with a resurgence of hatred.
