Chapter 34It’s been a week since Vincent dropped Rebecca off at the safehouse. That’s also the amount of time since she had seen him. She didn’t understand what was going on. She wondered if she had done something wrong. If that was the real reason that he left her in the middle of nowhere and hadn't contacted her since. Tobin had come to see her every other day. Rebecca asked him for information every time but, Tobin had told her that Vincent had told him to not tell her anything so that she was completely protected in all ways. This just made Rebecca mad. When Tobin noticed how angry she got when he said this, he tried bringing Rosalina to visit with him. That only happened once since he caught Rosalina just before she told Rebecca some of a conversation she had overheard between Vincent and Domenico.By the beginning of the second week, she had grown tired of Tobin’s excuses. She stomped around the house until she finally found Bruno sitting in the living room watching a movie. “B
“Rebecca! Open the door,” Vincent shouted frantic to make sure that she was okay. The door swung open and he took in her terrified face. He quickly pulled her into his arms. “Are you hurt?” he asked as she buried her face in his chest. He smoothed her hair down before taking her head in his hands and looking down to make sure she was alright.“I’m okay. What was that?” She asked. Vincent could see the fear in her eyes even though she was trying to be brave.“I don’t know,” he answered hugging her again placing a kiss to the the top of the head.“Boss, are you both okay?” Felice asked as him and Bruno reached the top of the stairs.“We’re fine. What is going on?”“No clue,” Bruno shrugged.“Well fucking find out!” Vincent shouted. He turned to look at Rebecca when she flinched at him yelling loudly. “Sor...” he begins
When Rebecca woke up the next day it was hard to open her eyes. She had a pounding headache and the bright light that shown in her eyes every time she opened them didn’t help at all. The constant beeping sound was annoying her also. She groaned and closed her eyes for probably the fourth time in ten seconds. After taking a deep breath she finally forced her eyes open. She looked around the room she was in. She was in the hospital. Rebecca laid her head to the side and noticed Vincent asleep in the chair beside the bed she was laying in. His head was nearly lying on her arm. She smiled as she watched his chest rising and falling. Reaching across her body she ran a hand through his hair and watched him stir. She giggled and watched his eyes flutter open.“You’re awake,” he said with excitement and stood up quickly heading to the door. “I will get someone...”Rebecca sat up quickly and regretted it immediately she made a hissing
The next morning Rebecca woke up to see Vincent sleeping in the chair next to her bed like her had been the day before. She smiled as she took in how peaceful he looked. She had watched him sleep a couple times before and each time she was extremely shocked how even though his life was probably more stressful than anyone else’s, he looked like nothing bothered him when he was sleeping. She decided to let Vincent sleep and get ready since she was going to be discharged today. She went into the bathroom and took a shower she felt like she hadn’t showered in a year even though she knew that it had only been a day. She was ready to wash off everything that had happened. When she got out of the shower, she realized she didn’t have any clean clothes to put on. She wrapped the towel around her and wondered what to do. Before she could panic, there was a knock on the door. “Rebecca. I have a dress for you,” she heard Vincent say through the
Rebecca woke up to someone pounding on her door. She ignored it and rolled back over. As she started to slip back under, she heard her door open and voices."Is she really still sleeping?" She heard Rosalina ask. She put an arm over her face. She wasn't ready for what she was sure was coming."She can't still be asleep," Joni answered. Sighing again, she pushed herself up on her bed. She knew they wouldn't let her sleep so she would just bite the bullet and get up. "Becs," Joni called up the stairs. "Are you decent?""Yeah. Yeah. Hang on. I'm coming down," she answered, her best friend. Joni had just gotten back last week from her month-long honeymoon. After everything that had happened with Vincent, Joni had allowed Rebecca to take Tobin as her date to the wedding. She told her she understood that it was too soon to try and move on since it was only two weeks after he had left her standing at her door. "Why are you two here so early?""Why are you so gru
Vincent sighed for what seemed like the billionth time in the last hour as Roco explained to him his new ideas for the club. It wasn't that he wasn't interested in hearing his brother's ideas, they were after all, really good. He was just tired. His father was nearly ready to step down so he had been spending a lot of time reviewing things with him so that Francesco felt completely comfortable leaving the family in his hands. Vincent welcomed the extra focus needed for work because it made it much easier to not think about Rebecca. The problem had been when his mother, Nadia, expected his father home for dinner. The first night, Vincent had gone home to cook dinner. He had finished cooking dinner and went to tell Rebecca to come and eat before he remembered she wasn't there anymore. He had thrown all the food out and went to bed where he tossed and turned most of the night. Catching her scent that was on the pillow, she had used when she had slept with him every night, he gave up and
"Becs, are you ready?" Rebecca heard Joni yell up the stairs at her. She heard the door close a minute later and assumed Isaac was with her. That meant one thing. Rebecca was running behind schedule. Isaac was late most of the time, which drove everyone crazy.Sighing, she spun around giving herself another look at her dusty pink dress. Joni had brought it over the day before telling her that the lace looked classy for the event and the off the shoulder neckline with ruffles added "just the right bit of sexiness." She wasn't sure if that was what she wanted tonight but she was wearing it anyway. She sat on her bed to slip on her gold strappy heels as Joni reached the top stair."Thanks for answering me.""Sorry," Rebecca said, standing up. She heard a gasp from Joni and looked at her with a raised brow."If I wasn't married. I would totally do you," she said covering her mouth with both her hands. Rebecca looked down at the dress again. She didn't think i
They crashed into the room, not even bothering to stop pawing at each other. “I miss you so much,” Vincent told her when they finally broke apart and started undressing. It was true, although he hadn’t planned on telling her that. He also hadn’t planned on sleeping with her until he saw her.“I miss you too,” she sounded like she didn’t want to admit it, but he would take it. “Please, Vince.” He stepped out of his pants and looked at her. She was standing there in nothing but I very sexy pair of lace panties. No bra and he instantly remembered what her breasts felt like in his hands. “I need you to touch me, so I know this is real.” She swallowed hard. She was nervous, but more than that, she was worried that he would come to his senses. She had been dreaming of them seeing each other again and it was going the way her favorite fantasies always did. She wanted this to be real more than anything she had ever wan
