When Paige still hadn’t arrived home after lunch, I climbed in my car. I knew it was stupid. I’d been meeting with my men all morning, talking over the information Lyle had already scraped from Dan’s computers and anything Stan heard in New York, and my eyelids dragged, but I just couldn’t fall asleep until she returned.
