“Hey baby.” Sophie blinks being kissed on her cheek, looking up from her notes to see her boyfriend.
“Hi mason.” She speaks with a soft smile looking up at him with utmost adoration, she didn't believe this man could do any wrong.
Her boyfriend is Mason Brady, he’s kind of popular and less of a nerd however he’s very smart. Mason and her have been dating for a year or two. He has been such a sweetheart, yes they have their days when they fight but Mason always makes sure they never go to sleep angry at each other. Sophie feels like he’ll be the one she stays with even after they graduate, but she definitely fears that maybe she’ll be wrong and things won’t go as she pictured. Still she has her hope for her and her boyfriend.
“Hey, Soph, did you hear what I said?” Mason asks and Sophie’s eyes snap up to look at him, she blinks a couple of times. “Hm? Could you repeat babe?” She asks batting her eyes softly to which he tsk’s although he was smiling.
“I asked if you’re gonna be having any trouble juggling studying for the tests and babysitting Chloe?” Mason asked and Sophie couldn’t help but smile, Mason was always considerate, always wanting to help. “Yeah babe, I’ll be fine. After all I’ll have Casper to help me.”
Sophie says to which Mason nods his head sitting in his seat next to her, class starting as soon as all the kids were officially seated and ready to learn. “Good morning class, hope you brought your learning skills with you today. We’re going to learn about the Han Dynasty, and it’s importance in History. “
Sophie gets out her pencil and her notebook as she starts to jot down what’s on the board, her hand shooting up first as usual to answer the questions.
“Boo, you nerd. Leave some questions for the rest of us.” She frowned upon hearing that,
So much for hoping the first day of school would be good.
Mason’s hands clenched his desk and he turns around facing the sandy blonde haired boy smirking in his desk. “Watch it, Chad. DON’T make me come back there.” He presses, adding tension to the room. Sophie goes to put her hand on Mason’s hand to calm him down but Chad chuckles leaning forward in his chair. “Oh yeah, what the hell are you gonna do about it, Brady.” He asked with a taunt to his smile and Mason’s getting up to handle him “I’ll tell you what I’m gonna do about it.” Mason says and Sophie grabs Mason before he can do anything.
“Babe.. relax, it’s okay.” She assures him and he snorts at that watching Chad who also stood up challenging his grounds, before sighing and calming down since they were still in class, he’d deal with him later. Mason sat back down in his seat and Sophie sighed in relief looking at Chad in disgust before she sat back down, the rest of the class went by quick. No more problems yet as Chad was being doing what he does best, getting flirted with by every single girl desperate for his attention. Sophie was glad that she wasn’t one of those girls, she couldn’t even stand the thought of liking someone like Chad.
Lunch time]
Sophie enters the lunchroom as she sits down at her normal table, Mason wasn’t there yet so she assumed he was finishing something for class. She had grabbed her food and she started to eat, sitting by herself as usual until she saw a girl approach the table she was sitting at causing her to stare at her a little hesitant. “Can I… help you?” She asks quietly wondering what she wants, she looked like your average popular girl. “Hi, I’m Jane. I wanted to know if you wanted to be friends.. I always see you alone, I mean. Except for when you’re with Casper. I don’t want to see you alone anymore.” She says and Sophie has to process these words before she’s sitting in silence;
This girl wants to be her friend? Why didn’t she ask before hand?
“What do you say?” Jane asks, snapping Sophie out of her daze. “I.. I mean. I don’t need friends but Sure I don’t mind.” Sophie says and Jane smiles at her and she’s sitting at the table with her bag and her tray of food. “I have friends, or well. Acquaintances but no one ever actually makes me want to know them.”
“Do you get it? Like.. I respect and acknowledge and then I go about my day.” Jane says and Sophie nods, she understands. She’s not always a loner but her friends never actually stick around long enough “Yeah, I know what you mean. It makes you feel like a celebrity doesn’t it? Because they only know what you show them and not what you keep to yourself.” Sophie says and Jane smiles nodding her head eating her fries. “Yep, you get it. Sophie, right? Is that your name? Your brother is the more popular sibling, no offense.” She mumbled and Sophie laughs softly shaking her head.
“No trust me I get it, my brothers an international play boy. Not literally but he loves to make friends and he’s on the football team so of course he has tons of people who know him.” Sophie says and Jane laughs softly drinking some of her banana smoothie “I can imagine the amount of girlfriends your mom has had to meet, he’s adorable. And so are you.” She said and Sophie laughs again, her hand wrapping around her apple juice “Yeah, he’s had his fair share of dates but it wasn’t back to back. My brother isn’t that type of guy, every girl surprisingly was a cheerleader but from different schools. Never the same school.”
“Ah, so he’s not only cute but he’s smart too. I can see where he gets it from.” She teased and Sophie blinks before she laughs louder than expected, she never laughed this much during lunch time. Jane just had some kind of effect on her, she was genuinely funny. Sophie was happy to have been making a friend, Jane seems genuine and true.
Sophie hoped she was right this time, she thinks she'd actually warm up to Jane.
"Sophie, tell me. Do you have a boyfriend? You must, look at you. You're gorgeous." Jane compliments and Sophie laughs shyly waving away the compliment unable to help it "Aish, don't say such lies. However, yes I do have a boyfriend."
And Sophie continues to tell Jane about her boyfriend who was late to Lunch and that wasn't a normal for him. However, with Jane beside her Sophie wasn't all too bothered with Mason's lateness yet. She was just happy to finally be able to talk to someone at lunch time, yes she loves her boyfriend but nothing beats having a friend too.
"Ah, look who it is." Jane says after a while of them talking. Sophie turns to see Mason coming into the lunchroom and she smiles before taking in his appearance, shirt disheveled and pants a little bit sagged. She furrowed her eyebrows wondering why he looked like that but didn't say anything about it just happy to see him, Jane however was analyzing the man in front of them."Hi Babe!" She says happily as he smiles at her coming over and giving her a kiss, Jane a little disgruntled at the appearance of this man.Why were his pants opened and not on fully, why was he particularly out of breath and why's his hair so disheveled?"Hi baby. So sorry I'm late, finishing up work for Mrs Green. You know how that goes." He says and Sop
The bell rung signaling the last period had ended and everyone filed out to go to their respective lockers getting ready to go home."Have a good night everyone! Welcome back to school, we will see you tomorrow morning! Here's to a beautiful year, my wonderful students of Beverly Hills!" The principal's voice sounded through the loud speakers, Sophie grabbed her bag from the locker seeing that Jane was waiting for her. She felt warm inside, most of her former friends would already be gone. But Jane stays, Jane waits, Jane is here. It's honestly the little things that make Sophie so happy, and Jane seems to understand that too."Hey Soph, come on." Jane says and Sophie nods her head closing her locker and catching up with her as they started to walk to the Football yard, Casper
7 am.Sophie wakes up the next morning after her alarm goes off, sliding off the bed to go to the bathroom brushing her teeth and her hair waking herself up for the day. She decides to put her hair in pigtails today going for her more comfortable clothes, her Stitch T-shirt and her grey sweatpants since she had gym today. She makes her way downstairs colliding with Casper who just so happened to catch her before she fell "Easy Klutz, don't wanna break your neck on the second day now do you?" He asked and she rolled her eyes knowing he was teasing her "Thanks, Casper." She said making her way to the kitchen seeing Chloe seated in the high chair wearing her cute baby shark outfit "Hey Chloe, my favorite little sister." She coos kissing her forehead sitting next to her, their mom served pancakes and sausages today. "Casper, come on down and eat you
Casper drives Jane and Sophie to Jack in the box."Hey Jane, you good to hang with us? I mean you can go home if you want to." Casper says looking through the rear view mirror occasionally at her, Jane looks at him and then Sophie with a soft smile "Nah, I'm good hanging with you guys. I can always go home when I'm tired, and so can you two." She says and Sophie smiles at her answer looking at Casper who smiles at the both of them pulling up to the Jack in the box, it seems it's bustling with chatter and customers inside the Jack in the box today. Sophie looks around at all the teenagers talking and laughing as they all sat at the table they chose, Sophie felt a little anxious with all the people around her. Even though no one was there, she felt like all eyes were on her. It felt as if she were being talked about by every single person in the restaurant.&nb
Sophie wipes the tears from her eyes as she smiles up at Casper "you just want to distract me from my tears, don't you?" Sophie asks in a bit of a pout causing Casper to shake his head. "No, I want my sister to smile. To have fun, forget about Mason today. If he feels a type of way he can make up for how he made you feel." Casper says and Sophie smiles at him getting her shoes and putting them on, she sits up on the bed hugging him tightly. "Thank you.. I thought you'd be totally different considering how you were when we were younger." Sophie says and Casper rolls his eyes hugging her back tightly "I was a kid, we were kids. As I grew up I realized how much I love all of you. And if anyone's going to be there for me before anyone else, it's you. You're my twin, my other half. And I don't know what I'd do without you."Sophie felt warmth take over her
"Hey Sophie, let's go for some funnel cake. You could use some mood lightening." The boy said and Sophie wasn't sure why she agreed with no problem following this boy to the funnel cake stand. They stood online and the wonderful smell of fresh baked dough and sugar filled her nose, a sense of delight washing over her knowing she'll be able to eat funnel cake. One of her favorites. "Hi, can I have two funnel cakes please?" He asked and Sophie realized he's paying for hers and she goes to take out her wallet being stopped by him. "What are you doing?" He asked looking at her, Sophie raised her wallet and he waved it off "I was gonna pay for mine-" "No, my treat. end of discussion." He said and she nods her head allowing him to do it since he wouldn't let her pay for hers. A few minutes later they're both given their funnel cakes and Sophie smiles taking a bite out of it, a satisfactory groan leaving her mouth. "Damn, it's that Good? I made the right choice taking you to get it then, p
Sophie's alarm went off and she jolted up, she didn't remember going to sleep. She went to rush out of bed before she saw the date, it's Sunday. She sighs laying back down in her bed thankful she didn't have to rush to school, not that she didn't like school or anything. However, being later on the third day wouldn't exactly be a good thing. After much persuasion she got out of bed going to the bathroom brushing her teeth and her hair, once she finished she got a message on her phone. Just seeing Mason's name made her roll her eyes until she remembered that she was gonna talk to him whether she actually wanted to or not, but not without a proper apology. She sighed opening her phone to see the messages from Mason, wondering what he thought was good enough to say to make her reply back. Let's hope whatever he has to say is worth it. Mason: I'm sorry for how I acted, let me take you out for ice cream to make up for it. ...what the hell did he think this
Noah and Sophie had ordered their boba and Sophie was already feeling better as she took a sip from her boba tasting the mix between the sugary tapioca and the strawberry milk, what an amazing combination. She walked with Noah from the boba shop down the distance to Chic Fil-A, She looks at his drink having taken a picture so she could post it on Instagram. "I didn't know you like boba, you don't seem like the type." Sophie says and Noah shakes his head at that looking over at her "You could never tell what anyone likes just based off of how they look, It's impossible," He says and Sophie shrugs causing him to raise an eyebrow at him "No, really. it's like me seeing someone I don't actually know yet and saying 'Oh wow, you don't strike me as the type to be sexual.' and then they show up with their 6 kids and it's like 'Well shit, sorry for assuming I didn't know you birthed a little soccer team.' assuming makes an ass out of you." Noah says and Sophie can't help but laugh, he
Tuesday January 12th, 2022. 10:53 am.It's been three months since Sophie and Mason broke up, Sophie has yet to be fully okay but Jane, Casper, Noah and her mom are all here for her. Mason's parents even call to check up on her and see how she's doing because they're absolutely revolted by the way their son has treated her. Thankfully Jane and Noah have kept her up to date on the school work and the lessons so she's not behind on grades or paperwork. Speaking of Jane, and Noah. She will be hanging out with them today. It would be the first time in months that she (hopefully) leaves the house. Sophie was holed up in her room when her mother came in with her little sister Chloe, her eyes widened seeing Jane, Noah, and Casper coming into her room and she was surprised, they're here earlier than she was expecting. "What are you guys doing here?" She asked before her eyes widened, they're all smiling at her. What are they up to? She asked herself trying to f
"Hey Casper, why exactly are we here again?" Asked Casper's fellow football buddy Luke who was his partner in crime. Anything Casper wanted to find out Luke had his back, and the same vice versa. Luke was one of his longest friendships since they met in the third grade, they've been pretty locked in ever since. They drive up to the designated location and Casper looks around before getting out of the car. He takes a breath before walking up to the front of the building ringing the bell, Luke parks the car following him to the front door. "Do you know what you're going to say?" Luke asks looking over at Casper who lifts an eyebrow looking back at him, waiting for the person to come to the door. "Yes, I know what I'm going to say. I know who lives here and I know what they'll ask if and when they do open the door. We're all good friends. Or at least, my mom and them are." Casper explains to Luke who nods his head just as the door is being unlocked "Here they come." He says as the door
Mason Brady, you're a dead man. It has been two weeks since Sophie had seen just about the most traumatizing thing of her life so far, she couldn't recall the last time she'd been outside or even texted Jane or Noah for that matter. She's barely even talked to Casper and her mom has yet to find out what happened, she doesn't know how to explain to her what she saw with her own eyes. How do you explain to your mother that you and your boyfriend broke up because you found him balls deep inside your arch enemy from childhood that he KNEW hated you and tormented you for fun. She wiped the tears from her eyes while looking out her window, she was just about to go lay back inside her cocoon of blankets when there was a knock at her door which she was just straight up gonna ignore but the door was pushed open and her skin paled seeing her mother come in with her baby sister on her hip. There was a stern but concerned look etched all
"Ladies, remember when you're walking down to be escorted you must smile and take the hand of your escort." Daisy spoke as the girls all went over their dance moves and their greeting words, Sophie felt like she genuinely wasn't supposed to be here because she didn't exactly know what she was supposed to be doing. Daisy seemed to notice her distress and she went over to her pulling her aside from the others, Jane following to make sure no one was eavesdropping on their conversation. "Hey Sophie, I can see how tense and nervous you look. Mind if I ask are you okay?" She asked seeing Sophie fidget with her fingers with a sigh. "Daisy, I don't belong here. I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing, I've never done this before so I'm surprised I was picked this year." She explains and Daisy smiles sympathetically before she picks up her Ipad opening it swiping a few things before holding the Ipad up so Sophie and Jane could see. "I feel you there, and I knew you'd say that so I went
Sophie stands next to Jane while Casper speaks to Noah, music is playing from the loud speakers and Mason looks down at his phone getting a text so he turns his attention to Sophie who didn't even see him reading his messages before he gave her his attention. "Baby, I'm so sorry. I'll be back in time to escort you to the dance and for when they nominate the winners of the pageant, I promise." Mason says to her ear kissing her forehead softly, Sophie nodded her head holding on to the hope that he was telling the truth. "Okay babe.. hurry back." She says softly watching as he took off, Jane narrows her eyes at Mason watching him leave before she looks over at Sophie a little disappointed. "I hope you don't believe him, because I don't." She says without hesitation and Sophie sighs understanding her concern placing a hand on her shoulder "Jane, give him a chance to redeem himself. He already explained his behavior
Sophie woke up but she didn't hear her alarm go off and she was a little confused to see that her phone wasn't on the charger, she sat up rubbing her eyes softly with a groan wondering where she had placed her phone last night since it was a blur. She remembered Mason biting her ear very hard and crying as her mom hugged her, but where was her phone? "Where did I put my-" "Sophie, finally you're awake. Here, you'd abandoned it on the living room table but I found it after you'd already went to sleep so I didn't wanna bother you." Her mom says handing her her phone, Sophie nods taking her phone before setting it aside so she could step in the shower. She wasn't sure why but something was telling her to stay home from school today, she didn't feel sick so she couldn't say that but there was something racking at her brain telling her to stay home from school. She sighs stepping out of the shower and drying herself off putting on clothes, she decided to go with a dress that flowed at th
It's been two weeks since the night at the movies with Noah, Jane, and Casper. Sophie wakes up to her alarm giving herself a few minutes to wake up as she gets ready to go to school. She brushed her teeth and did her hair deciding to tie it into a bun, nothing crazy putting on her converse to go with her white shirt and her plaid skirt and knee high stockings. She went downstairs grabbing her book bag as her and Casper sat eating their breakfast, Chloe cooing as she eats a soft banana cracker. "Bye mom, we love you." Casper says placing a kiss on her cheek and Sophie did the same, their mom smiling at them "Have a good day babies." She says waving to them as they got in the car, Chloe making little grabby hands as her way of saying goodbye. "Bye Chloe! See you later baby!" Sophie says blowing her a kiss as Casper starts driving away, she turned over to look at Casper as the radio is turned on. "Hey Sophie, what di
The movie ended and Sophie stretches out her stiff limbs looking over at Noah who smiled at her and for just a moment Sophie forgot about anything else as she got lost in the pretty smile of Noah's- "Hey, Sophie let's get going, your brother is probably wondering where we are." Noah says snapping her out of her thoughts as he stands up from his seat, sure enough her brother was texting her. More like blowing up her phone, she takes out her phone to see if Noah had actually called her brother looking for her but realistically she didn't expect anything less from Casper.Casper:Hey Sophie, I'm sorry Jane and I left you alone with Noah for so long. I didn't think we'd be so far behind, I hope you're doing okay. -2:04pmCasper:Also my dearest little sister, where are you? -2:05pmCasper:I checked the Jungle Cruise and to my surprise you weren't there, you love Dwayne Johnson. I'm getting worr
Noah pulls up by the movies and he sees that Casper isn't there yet so he parks in the lot looking over at Sophie "You sing really nice." He says and she looks down with a smile tucking her hair behind her ear, making sweater paws with her cardigan. "Thanks, you're not bad yourself." She says and he feels a sense of pride that she even liked his singing, however he knew he shouldn't make it seem like he was flirting. Whether he believed her boyfriend even deserved such a good person or not, he was still her boyfriend at the end of the day. "Sophie, tell me. what would you want to be when you get out of high school? Like, what do you want to do?" He asked and Sophie wasn't expecting such a question to come out of him, he seemed so genuinely interested. "Well.. I want to either be an Author, or a Therapist. I like to help people." She says and Noah admires that about her, she was so genuine from what he could tell and he didn't like the fact that her boyfriend has been such an idiot.
