We take a walk to the upscale restaurant.

The interior is vast and widely spaced with white tablecloths, immaculate service and chic decor. Music is hushed as are the conversations. We pick a table next to a large window with a lovely view of a luxurious hotel.

Damien is sitting beside me.

The married couple is sitting across from us, smiling at us.

George and Gina. I met George at our wedding. The short guy with a shy smile. I remember him apologising for his wife's absence at the wedding. She was heavily pregnant and she couldn't really travel. But looking at his wife, she doesn't look like someone who was heavily pregnant two months ago. That flat tummy in that tiny little dress tells a different story.

Gina is a brown, tall, skinny woman with perfect hair and a perfect face and a perfect body and perfect teeth. She's perfect. I wonder if George married such a gorgeous woman so he could spend all his life freezing her beauty in pictures.
