Tears trickle down Dee's eyes as the doctor asks her to push the baby. She's in immense pain and I find myself feeling so empathetic towards her that I find myself crying too.
I hold her hand tightly and assure her. "You'll get over this."
She looks at me and I expect her to say something but instead she lets out an ear splitting scream.
Ren pushes me away from the seat and takes her hand.
"Baby I'm here..."
Dee glares at him. "I... Want... My.... Best friend!"
Ren lets me stand beside Dee as I hold on to her hand tightly.
This is an emotional yet blissful moment for me. I get to be there for my best friend on one of her big days. The day she becomes a mom. Being away for three years, I've missed a lot of moments with my loved ones and though they'll never come back, Atleast I can catch up and be there for every ceremony I'm needed. So you guessed it right.
