CHAPTER 65

For a while, my thoughts was clouded by storm of confusion and exhaustion. How could I even begin to confess to him that I love him when I know for sure that what was only binding us two were the contract and desire for my body.

Although Thiago had been telling me that he wanted to move forward with our relationship, I am still hesitant that we might just fall apart if we pursued this. I mean, I still have goals of inflicting revenge against my father, my ex-husband and stepsister.

My heart may say that I want to but my mind was preoccupied with thoughts of my purpose for accepting the deal with Thiago in the first place.

Suddenly, Thiago stirred slightly in his sleep, his hand twitching as if reaching for me even in dreaming state. It was like he couldn’t bear to be apart from me, even for a moment. And maybe that’s what terrified me the most—that I had let myself become so intertwined with him that stepping back felt impossible.
