The following days blurred into a mix of meetings, reports, and endless tasks.

I tried to throw myself into work, letting it be my escape, my shield from the chaotic whirlwind that had become my personal life, especially after what I learned about Thiago.

Lucia was in and out of my office more than usual, juggling paperwork, reminders, and upcoming events.

“Madame CEO, please don’t forget, we have the expo coming up in two weeks,” Lucia said, placing another stack of documents on my desk. She gave me a sympathetic look, probably seeing the exhaustion written all over my face.

“I haven’t forgotten, Lucia. Don’t worry. Email me the details of the exhibitors, we need to make sure Bermudez Group’s booth would stand out.” I replied, forcing a smile. I hadn’t had a proper night’s sleep in days, but I didn’t have time to stop. Not now. Not with everything coming up.
