I stared at my mother who was enjoying the morning sun in the flower garden and my lips curved into a smile.I'm happy that she was getting over the past with each passing day.

She had regained the skin colour and the scars on her body had healed. We used both scientific and herbal medicine to heal my mother because I knew scientific medicine was not enough. She had gained weight over the months and now she was glowing.

The only scar that remained was on the left arm.I think it will never fade away because it was so deep.The scar will forever remind her of everything she went through for the damn seventeenth year to see me again.
