"If signing the documents will make you prove that indeed I meant what I said, it's okay."My mother said and took the papers from my hands. She carefully studied them and then signed.

I couldn't believe that Mother had just signed something that she was against. She handed me the papers and I looked at it just to make sure that she had signed it. I remembered her sign so clearly, indeed, she had just signed it.

I didn't mean it when I said that I would let the position go. I was just trying to threaten her so that she could sign it. But why did it take so long for my mother to change her mind? I was still mad at her.
