Micah's pov

I watched as Maya walked aways from me, feeling lost and a sense of dread.

What the hell was going on and what was that about?

I wondered in confusion, my heart beating in my chest.

The students that had gathered to watch the drama had started walking away, murmuring about how we were no fan.

I ignored them, focusing on recounting what had just happened between Maya and I just a few seconds again.

Everything had been great yesterday between us. How had things gone from great to worst?

The only thing I could remember was leaving when she'd excused herself to answer a call but that 2ad only because Coach was being dramatic and wanted me at the meeting.

Wait… did her behavior have anything to do with that call?

It had to. That explaned why she hadn't replied any of my texts.

I had thought she was asleep.
