CHAPTER 60:JOSHUA POVAileen was determined to fight on the duel and I wish I could cheer her on on her quest but I don't want her to get into any trouble. I was determined to find a way to make sure she doesn't have to duel with Vivian, there most be something that I can find. I decided I'd have to go to the royal library, no matter how late it was, I knew I won't be able to rest soundly until I find a way to free her from the duel. I left Aileen standing there in shock and went back to the ballroom. I ordered a maid to get me the microphone and I announced that the party was over and requested everyone to return to their respective homes immediately. The party had already become dull and once I made the announcement, people started leaving with no questions asked, no complaints whatsoever. After the announcement, I ordered a guard to get me Vivian's father. "I'll be in my study room waiting." I informed him the location then left him. I went to the study room to wait impati
CHAPTER 61: Vivian roared with laughter as she drove back to her father's house. "Oh that fool! Luna Aileen, Luna? Oh that name never sounded good with Luna." Vivian said to herself, there was a guard, still in uniform in the back seat of her car. He had a blank look on his face, he was the one Vivian had recently turned into her minion at the gala through her new black magic powers granted to her like the dark lord in the shadows. "Don't you think she's too gullible? Someone like her shouldn't be the Luna, don't you think? I should be the Luna, and finally, it's going to happen." She roared with laughter again after she was done with her sentence. She laughed maniacally until she started coughing. The guard at the back seat did not respond and kept staring at her through the rearview mirror. "Ah, you're no fun, how come you're not agreeing to what I'm saying?" Vivian hissee when she realized she's the only one doing the talking and seemed like a lunatic."My mistress Vivian, eve
CHAPTER 62:JOSHUA POVI woke up and found myself at the library, my head was buried into one of the books and I had gotten drool all over a page. "Shit." I blinked my eyes and they got teary, I was exhausted from reading til the wee hours of the night. I yawned as I still felt sleepy and wanted to return back to my dreams. I sighed and looked down at the book I was reading, I was only half way there yet I haven't found anything useful that can help Aileen escape from the duel. I needed to read more, I arranged the books I've read and those I haven't and stacked them on top of each other and carried it. I went to the librarian who bowed in greetings to me, I informed her I'll be leaving with these books and she nodded. I was almost at the exit when a guard came rushing in, "Alpha Joshua!" He called out before his eyes landed on me. "What is it?" I asked, clearly confused. "You have to go down to the police station." ***** When I got to the station, I was briefed on the things
CHAPTER 63:AILEEN'S POV "Oh my goodness, Vivian!" I shouted, the sight filled me with dread and I felt a chill run down my spine. Her lips curled up into a smirk, her eyes drew darker and I always knew Vivian was bad but never wicked or evil. Looking into her eyes, I could see pure evil in them, she could kill and destroy anything in her way and that made me shiver. I wasn't scared or anything but seeing something like this was concerning. I felt intense darkness coming from her and it was eating her up and contaminating her wolf. It was also weakening her wolf, dulling her craws, draining her strength and also giving her evil suggestions. I could see it all and I felt concerned, not for me but for Vivian who's in this dilemma. I just knew she was playing with dark magic again and this time it's intent is to consume her completely. "What happened here?" I demanded pointing at the dead man beside her, I then pointed at her hands that's red with blood dripping from them. "Is that
CHAPTER 64: JOSHUA POV The warriors that went to pick up Vivian returned empty handed and it got me furious. They explained what happened and since it wasn't an arrest, she wasn't obligated to come to the station. I requested to speak with the chief warrior and we went into his office to talk. "My mate says she saw Vivian with blood and the man next to her, isn't that enough evidence to pinpoint her as the killer and have her arrested?" I asked. I know it's not right to see this as an opportunity but I do and I need to use it. It's not like I was putting false charges on her, I believe Aileen and what she saw, Vivian is definitely the killer. "Alpha Joshua, now you're right but that doesn't make her the killer. She could be just a witness as well and tried to save him. We can't just condemn her as a murderer and have her arrested without evidence. Just an eye witness is not enough." The officer explained. I clenched my fists beside me, that wasn't what I wanted to hear.
CHAPTER 65: Vivian was beyond furious with the way Aileen spoke to her, she wished she could just rip her mouth out but she couldn't and had to bear hearing everything she had to say about her. Everything Aileen said to her was true and deep down she knew but her greed didn't want her to believe it. Those powers were the only thing that will give her a shot at becoming a Luna and finally being with Joshua. It's her life long dream and she was mad Aileen took it away from her and was acting all authoritative towards her after stealing her dream. A voice whispered in her ears to kill Aileen but she didn't act upon it although the desire was strong. This voice had been in her head for a while now since she listened to what the dark bird instructed her to do. She had turned everyone in her father's house into her slave and controlled them all. She also asked the guard she had gained control over to bring more guards for her and she turned them all to her minions. As she did, she fel
CHAPTER 66: JOSHUA POVAs Aileen walked out of the shower, my heart skipped a beat. She looked so sexy and I wanted to grab her and keep her in my arms. She was dressed in her bathrobe, her hair was still wet and she was using a towel to dry it. I didn't even know I was staring at her intensely until she gave me a small smile, the corner of my lips went up and I smiled back at her involuntarily. "Why are you staring at me?" She asked then sat on her vanity table."When I have such a beautiful view, how can I not stare?" She blushed after hearing those words before concentrating on herself, she dropped the towel, she threw it to the bed then took a brush and began brushing her hair. "Hey! Why on the bed!" I shouted then quickly picked up the wet towel. I went over to her and put it on her head. I ruffled her hair with the towel and she hit my hands with the brush on her hand. "Ouch." I exclaimed and stopped even though it didn't hurt at all. "You hurt me." I whined and pouted my
CHAPTER 68:The horrible smell of a smelly man entering her cell woke her up. She found herself sleeping at a corner in the cell, she buried her face in-between her thighs and sat on the dirty floor. She stood up immediately when she saw her situation and was immediately disgusted by her surroundings. She looked up to see two warriors dragging a man into her cell and she charged at him angrily. "Why are you bringing him here? I want to be alone." She shouted at the two beings and they looked at her confused. "I'm sorry miss…" one of them started with sarcasm in his voice and that got Vivian more angry, she felt looked down upon. "But this is not a personal residence and you have to share a cell with everyone." He scoffed then shove the man he was dragging into the cell forward, "And besides you're free to go." He added. That instantly got Vivian's hope up and her anger vanished. "Really?" She asked, her eyes lighting up in excitement. "I don't know why anyone did that but some
CHAPTER 109 {THE END} AUTHOR'S POV “Luna Aileen is still bleeding, bring in some hot water and fresh towels. Quickly!” Servants scurried about in the corridors and hallways as Aileen’s screams of pain rang throughout the entire place. Her curses were also loud enough for people to hear, if she wasn't in a critical condition, it would have been funny. Meanwhile, Joshua was pacing in front of the doors, the smell of his mate's blood was making him more agitated. Joshua had changed, his hair had grown a bit longer, his eyes lighter. He had a half crescent moon on his forehead, a symbol of the Protector. He looked a bit mature now but everyone could feel the nervousness and pain rolling off of him in waves. He winced when Aileen let out another string of curses. “If you impregnate me again, Joshua, I'll make sure to cut it off! I'll castrate you! Arghh!” “Push, Luna Aileen, I can see its head.” “Urghhh!” Aileen let out another scream and in the span of some hours, the cries of ne
Chapter 108AILEEN'S POV “Years ago, my parents were killed by the Dark Realm Lord, just before Sera the Dark Realm was destroyed. I was already a child who had knowledge of those things so I wanted revenge. I joined Sera as a spy, I and my right hand man, Osris started to look for how to get revenge since his parents were also killed and I came across a prophecy. It talked about you and your powers. I don't exactly remember how it goes but it says that anyone who controls your powers would be able to control the werewolf world. I was scared that Sera would find out and she would want to use you. I tried to kill you, as you know. I changed all the books containing your powers so she didn't find out. A lot of people listened to me instead of her. So yeah, all along, I only wanted to kill you because I didn't want you to fall into Sera's hands.” Terry explained as he took us to the runes. I didn't say a word but I didn't think I expected this. I always thought that he was the bad gu
Chapter 107 JOSHUA'S POV “Ugh…” I let out a cry of agony. My chest, along with the rest of my body, was in such excruciating pain that it seemed like I was on fire. Sera had given me something, but she did not disclose the name of the substance; however, it was poisonous. My intestines felt as if they were being gnawed on by a million ants, in addition to the sensation that I was on fire myself. In the beginning, I was cold, but as time went on, the temperature rose so much and then afterwards, I was unable to feel my arms and legs. After then, my eyes turned completely dark, and I was unable to see anything. In spite of the fact that I waited for my hearing to go out as well, the sound was still excruciatingly loud, and the beating that came from the room next to mine was a form of torment. Those three women who came with Aileen were being punished by Sera. To my great relief, Xander and Berry were not present, and neither were the townspeople. So at least, some people were
Chapter 106 AILEEN'S POV“Aileen, Sera, she... she..." Both Elysia and Lia came to a complete stop directly across from us, their eyes widened in surprise. They came to issue a warning to us about Sera, but it was too late; Sera had already become aware of our presence. "Oh, what? Does all of you here have the same goal in mind? I was taken aback when I discovered that the woman who had attempted to kill me and then spied on us was actually with Aileen, Elysia, is it? I have been pondering on many ways in which I could trick you and convince you to join my side. Sadly, I will have to put an end to your life at some point, since you're with Aileen. I hope you don't take offence to that.” Sera gave a shrug and started walking in our direction. Instantaneously, my eyes sharpened, and I moved directly in front of Joshua, shielding him. However, she only smiled at us and stopped some meters away from us. “The fact that you came to my territory and attempted to kidnap my man, assassinat
CHAPTER 105 AUTHOR'S POV Darkness lightened up as the moon rose higher and higher into the sky, and its brilliance descended upon the village below as if there were no problems at all. Owls hooted, insects chirped, and birds sang in the night sky. There was a distinct musical composition that resulted from the sounds, which people would either find irritating or agreeable to the ears. It wasn't just that, though. The villagers gradually emerged from their condition of being puppets, staring at their walls in a state of amazement and wondering what they had been doing when they were in this state. Some of them were overcome with feelings of guilt as they recalled the events that had transpired over the preceding few days. All of these were observed by the pairs of icy blue eyes that were standing in the shadows and watching them with a triumphant smirk on their faces. As they emerged from the shadows, their hair, which was a metallic silver colour, glistened in the wind. They were
CHAPTER 104AILEEN’S POVWhen I told Elysia and the others about what I had seen the following morning, I made sure to include everything that I had seen, without leaving anything out. For a little period, everyone was silent, and I could see that Elysia was attempting to persuade herself to reveal something to us. On the other hand, I did not speak up because I believed that if it was something that she couldn't readily say, then it had to be really horrible.“The fact of the matter is that the three of us were born in the same way that Sera acquired her abilities.” While Elysia began, I, along with Berry and Xander, was unable to comprehend what she was saying."Could you elaborate on your words just a little bit? I'm not entirely sure I understand what you're talking about."All right... When Sera gained her abilities, we were in the castle. You have to understand that our parents were taken captive many years before the conflict broke out. The master of the dark realm was involved
Chapter 103AUTHOR'S POV "Terry, it has been about a month since you have been looking for that woman; why are you still looking for her? It's too late; she's gone, for good!” Sera yelled, her eyes widened in rage. One more debate had been begun by them regarding Aileen and whether or not she had passed away. "Have you located her dead body?" Terry switched his attention to Sera, his eyes narrowing and his lips pressing against one other as he did so. “We did not, but I'm telling you that..." "In the event that we did not find her body, do you not believe that your presumptions are a little distant from the truth? Literally, she vanished before our own eyes! In addition, we have not been able to locate her body since that time; what further leads you to conclude that she is not alive? It is your recklessness that will ultimately lead to your demise, Sera.” Sera scoffed, “Fine! I admit that I'm a bit reckless. You, on the other hand? How could you possibly believe that I am unawar
"He's fine now, isn't he? In addition to that, we were successful in deceiving Sera into believing that the bug is still inside of him. Whew, it was a very fortunate escape." As she leaned against the wall, Elysia closed her eyes and sagged forward. She looked like she was about to fall just from standing for too long. Not only did she have dark circles and eyebags around her slanted eyes, but all of us did as well. "I am relieved that it was successful. So what comes next?" Concerned and hesitant, Xander asked with a low voice. Xander was typically so talkative, so I had never seen him exhibiting such a low profile. “We came to the conclusion that he would be the covert agent inside the manor. In light of the fact that the both of us able to interact telepathically, it would be convenient for me if he could inform us about anything that is occurring inside. Perhaps he could also give us a heads-up whenever Sera is about to organise some other scheme or something.” After removing t
CHAPTER 101AILEEN’S POVAt that moment, we were waiting for Joshua to restore his composure; for him to move his body so we could begin our plan. It has been three days since he made his initial movements, and it appears that he has regained control over his limbs and even his thoughts. Even though right now, his senses were comparable to those of a kid, he was still aware of the fact that if Sera discovered him moving, he would be in danger. By the end of the fourth day, he was already walking on his own. He was even talking to himself, asking where I was and calling my name in a quiet voice, much like a toddler would. Not only did it take everything I had to keep from crying, but it also took everything I had to keep from jumping down from where I was hiding and running to hug him and tell him all of my problems. I could hear footsteps coming towards the room, and Joshua could hear them as well. As a result, he immediately sat down in the exact position that he had been sitting in
