CHAPTER 45:Aileen POVI went to the royal infirmary, I heard all the injured werewolves from the battle were treated there.Once they noticed my presence, they bowed and greeted me. "Luna Aileen, what brings you here?" The doctor was notified of my presence and he rushed out of his office to greet me. The infirmary was big with ten beds at each side of the room. The doctor's office was in a room at the very end. There was a desk by the door with a nurse working as a receptionist there. The doctor greeted me there and we exchanged pleasantries. He was also the one that treated me. "Luna Aileen, how is your wound now?" He asked looking down at my hands, I followed his eyes and realized I haven't taken off the bandage yet. "Oh, it must have healed completely by now." I said then proceeded to remove it myself but the doctor signaled a nurse to attend to me. She made me sit then cut the bandages away. "Actually doctor, I wanted to know who were the werewolves who fought in the war.
CHAPTER 46: AILEEN POVI'm sure Joshua wouldn't support me if he found out that I was trying to find out the identity of the masked man. He wanted me to stay clear from danger but then how will I be a good Luna and support him? "Alright then tell me, when did he appear? Was he there all along or…" "I'll be honest with you, none of us have any idea but from what I observed, he must have appeared once he realized he was losing the fight." He explained, he cupped his chin as he thought deeply. One thing was still unclear to me, "But how did he know?" I believe I'll be able to get some clues if I can figure this out."It's pretty easy if he was nearby and watched us with no one knowing or he placed a spy spell on someone." He suggested and something clicked inside my head. That seemed to make a lot of sense and I wondered why I didn't think of that. Although I saw progress, I still felt far off plus I had a foreboding feeling inside me once again. "One of those creatures?" "It could
CHAPTER 47:AILEEN POVI paced around my room contemplating on what I was to do about the whole situation. Terry told me I should not to get ahead of myself and that everything is just theory but I can't help but be anxious about the possibility of everything he said. If I could find out who exactly is the one spying on us and giving out our information, we'll be at the upper hand and might even know who the masked man is and stop him once all for all. But is the will to stop him and fight for the greater good enough to corrupt my mind and find out how to detect someone who was spying on us?That question lingered on my mind the entire day and when I finally decided to go to sleep, I tossed and turned, even making the duvet fall off the bed. I was so anxious and confused about what to do."Don't do it, Aileen. That's dark magic and it's dangerous!" My wolf warned me sternly once the clock struck 12:00 and I was still up thinking about what to do and whether to follow Terry's words
CHAPTER 48: AILEEN POVThe next morning, with a settled heart, I went to see Terry and let him know my decision. "I'm sorry but we shouldn't play with dark magic. It's too dangerous and I'm ashamed to have even considered it. I'm the Luna and I should set a good example." "It's alright, there's no need to apologize. I should be the one to apologize because I dared suggest such a thing to my Luna.""No worries, you were only trying to help and I'm glad I talked with you. Everything you said I put them all into consideration and I pondered about them throughout the night. We just have to find another way of catching the masked man without going down to his level and using dark magic." "You're right once again and the decision you made is the best." He said then bowed and left for his work.I sighed then walked to the kitchen. I hadn't eaten breakfast and had rushed to see Terry immediately I was done showering. At the kitchen, the staff were already done preparing breakfast and were
CHAPTER 49: AILEEN POVI couldn't wait for the next day for my date with Joshua but I tried to contain myself and not show how I excited I was in front of him. He soon left me alone for a meeting after our breakfast together and I spent the rest day in my room. When the sun graced my face the next morning, I sat up with a smile. I was about going to shower when a knock came at the door. "Your grace, these were sent by Alpha Joshua." The maid who delivered the bouquet informed me while smiling from ear to ear. "Thank you," I collected them from her with a smile. I spotted a note in between the flowers as I smelled them. I took it out to read as the maid excused herself. There's a place you must see, my love. Says the letter and it was signed by Alpha Joshua. I smiled then immediately took a shower, got dressed, and rushed to meet Joshua who was waiting for me in the garden. His back was turned towards me and he was holding a rectangle box behind him, I cleared my throat to let him
CHAPTER 50:AILEEN POVMy eyes fluttered, then opened as I sat up with a sharp intake of breath. I was still fully dressed but I was on an enormous bed, in a strange bedroom. I glanced around the dark floored, masculine room which was flooded with golden light from the window. They were amazing abstract paintings on the wall, two lattice windows, and the floor was covered with a luxurious thick carpet. I couldn't stop the questions racing in my mind. Where was I and who brought me here? Could it have been Joshua himself? The thought of being carried in those strong arms, against his powerful chest as I slept made me tremble. I glanced across the room again and my eyes fell on him, sleeping calmly on a sofa. With a gulp, I jumped off the bed as if it had burned me. I snuck a glance at Joshua as I paced slowly toward him.His good looks still hit me like a fierce blow as I watched him. He was even more handsome as he slept, much more handsome than I remembered. His thick eyelash ki
CHAPTER 51:AILEEN POVJoshua introduced a party planner to me and together we organized the gala. It was an open party with lots of delicacies and on the day of the gala, the castle was filled with people from all social classes. They mingled together and enjoyed their company. I had everywhere in the castle that the guests will likely go to, to be decorated, the kitchen was a serve-yourself buffet with countless dishes that they'll enjoy. We spent a full day making these dishes. I even had to join in the preparation because I was the one that asked for such an extravagant party and I felt guilty not helping at all. Although the maids tried to stop me and begged me to leave the work for them, I refused and assured them that Joshua won't do anything because I informed him about my intention. That was a lie though but it worked. Joshua would never let me work that is why I didn't bother asking so he doesn't watch me. At the time of preparation, he was in a meeting with one of the co
CHAPTER 52: AILEEN POVI went running after Joshua but as I was about to catch up with him, a hand grabbed me and I stopped abruptly which made me stumble and almost fall on the hard floor but the same person stopped that from happening by placing his other hand under my stomach, using it to support me from falling. "Are you okay?" The person asked and I recognized the voice. I stood up and turned to him abruptly, clearly angry by the way he stopped me but decided to calm down when I saw several pairs of eyes on me. "Luna Aileen, are you alright?" Terry asked again, looking at me with a worried look on his face. "Yes, Terry. I'm okay." I responded with a forced smile. "What is it you want?" 'That you stopped me so forcefully and made me not catch up with Joshua?' I wanted to add but controlled myself. "Oh nothing really. I just wanted to greet my Luna." He said with a big smile on his face. I wasn't really happy with what he did but I didn't want to seem rude to a friend, he ju
CHAPTER 109 {THE END} AUTHOR'S POV “Luna Aileen is still bleeding, bring in some hot water and fresh towels. Quickly!” Servants scurried about in the corridors and hallways as Aileen’s screams of pain rang throughout the entire place. Her curses were also loud enough for people to hear, if she wasn't in a critical condition, it would have been funny. Meanwhile, Joshua was pacing in front of the doors, the smell of his mate's blood was making him more agitated. Joshua had changed, his hair had grown a bit longer, his eyes lighter. He had a half crescent moon on his forehead, a symbol of the Protector. He looked a bit mature now but everyone could feel the nervousness and pain rolling off of him in waves. He winced when Aileen let out another string of curses. “If you impregnate me again, Joshua, I'll make sure to cut it off! I'll castrate you! Arghh!” “Push, Luna Aileen, I can see its head.” “Urghhh!” Aileen let out another scream and in the span of some hours, the cries of ne
Chapter 108AILEEN'S POV “Years ago, my parents were killed by the Dark Realm Lord, just before Sera the Dark Realm was destroyed. I was already a child who had knowledge of those things so I wanted revenge. I joined Sera as a spy, I and my right hand man, Osris started to look for how to get revenge since his parents were also killed and I came across a prophecy. It talked about you and your powers. I don't exactly remember how it goes but it says that anyone who controls your powers would be able to control the werewolf world. I was scared that Sera would find out and she would want to use you. I tried to kill you, as you know. I changed all the books containing your powers so she didn't find out. A lot of people listened to me instead of her. So yeah, all along, I only wanted to kill you because I didn't want you to fall into Sera's hands.” Terry explained as he took us to the runes. I didn't say a word but I didn't think I expected this. I always thought that he was the bad gu
Chapter 107 JOSHUA'S POV “Ugh…” I let out a cry of agony. My chest, along with the rest of my body, was in such excruciating pain that it seemed like I was on fire. Sera had given me something, but she did not disclose the name of the substance; however, it was poisonous. My intestines felt as if they were being gnawed on by a million ants, in addition to the sensation that I was on fire myself. In the beginning, I was cold, but as time went on, the temperature rose so much and then afterwards, I was unable to feel my arms and legs. After then, my eyes turned completely dark, and I was unable to see anything. In spite of the fact that I waited for my hearing to go out as well, the sound was still excruciatingly loud, and the beating that came from the room next to mine was a form of torment. Those three women who came with Aileen were being punished by Sera. To my great relief, Xander and Berry were not present, and neither were the townspeople. So at least, some people were
Chapter 106 AILEEN'S POV“Aileen, Sera, she... she..." Both Elysia and Lia came to a complete stop directly across from us, their eyes widened in surprise. They came to issue a warning to us about Sera, but it was too late; Sera had already become aware of our presence. "Oh, what? Does all of you here have the same goal in mind? I was taken aback when I discovered that the woman who had attempted to kill me and then spied on us was actually with Aileen, Elysia, is it? I have been pondering on many ways in which I could trick you and convince you to join my side. Sadly, I will have to put an end to your life at some point, since you're with Aileen. I hope you don't take offence to that.” Sera gave a shrug and started walking in our direction. Instantaneously, my eyes sharpened, and I moved directly in front of Joshua, shielding him. However, she only smiled at us and stopped some meters away from us. “The fact that you came to my territory and attempted to kidnap my man, assassinat
CHAPTER 105 AUTHOR'S POV Darkness lightened up as the moon rose higher and higher into the sky, and its brilliance descended upon the village below as if there were no problems at all. Owls hooted, insects chirped, and birds sang in the night sky. There was a distinct musical composition that resulted from the sounds, which people would either find irritating or agreeable to the ears. It wasn't just that, though. The villagers gradually emerged from their condition of being puppets, staring at their walls in a state of amazement and wondering what they had been doing when they were in this state. Some of them were overcome with feelings of guilt as they recalled the events that had transpired over the preceding few days. All of these were observed by the pairs of icy blue eyes that were standing in the shadows and watching them with a triumphant smirk on their faces. As they emerged from the shadows, their hair, which was a metallic silver colour, glistened in the wind. They were
CHAPTER 104AILEEN’S POVWhen I told Elysia and the others about what I had seen the following morning, I made sure to include everything that I had seen, without leaving anything out. For a little period, everyone was silent, and I could see that Elysia was attempting to persuade herself to reveal something to us. On the other hand, I did not speak up because I believed that if it was something that she couldn't readily say, then it had to be really horrible.“The fact of the matter is that the three of us were born in the same way that Sera acquired her abilities.” While Elysia began, I, along with Berry and Xander, was unable to comprehend what she was saying."Could you elaborate on your words just a little bit? I'm not entirely sure I understand what you're talking about."All right... When Sera gained her abilities, we were in the castle. You have to understand that our parents were taken captive many years before the conflict broke out. The master of the dark realm was involved
Chapter 103AUTHOR'S POV "Terry, it has been about a month since you have been looking for that woman; why are you still looking for her? It's too late; she's gone, for good!” Sera yelled, her eyes widened in rage. One more debate had been begun by them regarding Aileen and whether or not she had passed away. "Have you located her dead body?" Terry switched his attention to Sera, his eyes narrowing and his lips pressing against one other as he did so. “We did not, but I'm telling you that..." "In the event that we did not find her body, do you not believe that your presumptions are a little distant from the truth? Literally, she vanished before our own eyes! In addition, we have not been able to locate her body since that time; what further leads you to conclude that she is not alive? It is your recklessness that will ultimately lead to your demise, Sera.” Sera scoffed, “Fine! I admit that I'm a bit reckless. You, on the other hand? How could you possibly believe that I am unawar
"He's fine now, isn't he? In addition to that, we were successful in deceiving Sera into believing that the bug is still inside of him. Whew, it was a very fortunate escape." As she leaned against the wall, Elysia closed her eyes and sagged forward. She looked like she was about to fall just from standing for too long. Not only did she have dark circles and eyebags around her slanted eyes, but all of us did as well. "I am relieved that it was successful. So what comes next?" Concerned and hesitant, Xander asked with a low voice. Xander was typically so talkative, so I had never seen him exhibiting such a low profile. “We came to the conclusion that he would be the covert agent inside the manor. In light of the fact that the both of us able to interact telepathically, it would be convenient for me if he could inform us about anything that is occurring inside. Perhaps he could also give us a heads-up whenever Sera is about to organise some other scheme or something.” After removing t
CHAPTER 101AILEEN’S POVAt that moment, we were waiting for Joshua to restore his composure; for him to move his body so we could begin our plan. It has been three days since he made his initial movements, and it appears that he has regained control over his limbs and even his thoughts. Even though right now, his senses were comparable to those of a kid, he was still aware of the fact that if Sera discovered him moving, he would be in danger. By the end of the fourth day, he was already walking on his own. He was even talking to himself, asking where I was and calling my name in a quiet voice, much like a toddler would. Not only did it take everything I had to keep from crying, but it also took everything I had to keep from jumping down from where I was hiding and running to hug him and tell him all of my problems. I could hear footsteps coming towards the room, and Joshua could hear them as well. As a result, he immediately sat down in the exact position that he had been sitting in
