I could smell him, I knew he was following me and I knew the moment he abandoned me, shifted and went back to the pack. I am not as stupid as he thinks of course I can smell the vamps and the king. I know she can never truly be mine anymore, she can never love me which is what I wanted, so I don't care anymore. I did a little more research in the back of the book under the heading for the other decent or species section for mates.That vamp king actually stole Seraphina's heart and not just her wolfs, the mate bond is more for the wolf but when two different species are involved you have to take into account the human half not just the wolf. If the human half loves the same mate as her wolf that is the definition of a true soul mate. The other thing was in the subheading for vampires, when they mate they form what is called a mate blood bond which is much stronger then a normal mate bond. SERAPHINA POVThese weeks have great spending them with the kids, I have even started doing some of my queen duties again. I haven't been spending a lot of time with the males, Patrick and Ethan have not left my side even though they have been keeping their distance because when they get too close I start to panic. SERAPHINA POV He kisses me again pulling me close and slowly moving his hands down to the hem of my dress, as he lifts my dress over my head he steps back and turns on the shower. He moves to the side so I can get under the water while he undresses and then joins me under the water. Dominic picks up the shampoo and gently rubs it into my hair, he does this a couple of times until all the mud and dirt are out. He then picks up the shower sponge, puts some his shower gel on it and then used it to wash the rest of my body starting at my neck and finishing at my feet. It was so nice he followed the path of the sponge with his hand spreading sparks all over me, once I was clean I made him kneel down so I could wash the mud and dirt out of his hair.
