While two people, a guy and a woman, went around the room on hushed feet, picking up the pieces of my shattered breakfast plates, I sat quietly in one of the recliners.

I was tempted to approach them and inquire about Aric and my status as a slave, but I restrained myself. I wasn't a slave; I was a pet, and though the distinction between the two was hazy at best, I was certain that my existence was far superior to theirs.

The most striking difference between us was our attire; I sat curled up in brand-new vampire garb while they wore baggy, deep-blue jumpsuits and uncomfortably-fitting work boots.

Neither of them appeared to have eaten well in years, but I had been given mountainous helpings of exquisite food at nearly every meal.

After they had left and the door had been secured again, my thoughts turned to what had been planned before Aric had been called away.

Was I seriously going to engage in sexual activity with a vampire?

When did it become acceptable?

Aric's recliner was where Josephine found her prey, curled up and trembling in fear.So you're the little whore, huh? As her sharp nail dug into Liberty's chin, she purred and made the girl glance up.Josephine looked at the human's pale complexion, emerald eyes, and jet black hair. The question: "Aren't you a lovely creature?" She inquired as her tongue licked her ruby lips and gently stroked the human's cheek with her free hand.Aric stepped through the splinters that were once his bedroom door and said, "Leave her alone; she's nothing. Nothing more than a pet I bagged in St. Januarius Hunt.Josephine said, "She's more than that," as she drove her nail deeper into Liberty's chin, threatening to skewer the girl if she didn't rise up. That's her scent all over your fingertips, and I can't get it out of my head. She said, "That musty fragrance of female secretions is obvious," as she walked clockwise around Liberty's body, her nail sinking into her flesh like onion paper.Once Josephin

I graciously accepted Aric's offer of assistance in standing up.Every breath hurt like a knife stabbing into my chest. He walked me into the bathroom and hoisted me carefully until I was perched on the counter. No matter how I positioned my arms to grab my sweater, I winced in pain as I tried to pull it over my head. Finally, I had to give up and let Aric try to remove it.The knitted cloth caught on several of my chest hairs when he raised it."Stop!" Due to the excruciating pain, I screamed and nearly passed out.Oh God, I sputtered, trying to push back the inky depths that were tearing at my vision.Aric responded, "Okay," and then left the room. I believe I'll have to end it. There seems to be no other option, in my opinion.Having come to the same conclusion, I gave him my assent, eager for this ordeal to finally be done.Aric retreated to me, a few centimeters of nail growth on his index finger. After seeing firsthand the razor-sharpness of a vampire's claws, I was confident he

Even though he could see that some of the slivers had been ripped out by the lace fabric, Liberty was so courageous that she scarcely made a sound when he took the cups of her bra away.Aric tossed the ripped underwear aside and recalled the pink buds on Liberty's breasts, which he had suckled just hours before. He was distracted from his duties when he overheard her question, "Is it bad?"No," he murmured, shifting his focus from her breasts to the rest of her bruised chest. But some of these are buried quite a ways.He opened a cabinet and took out a set of tweezers, some bandages, and some cotton balls. He raised an eyebrow at her and inquired, "Are you ready?"She smiled hesitantly, "Not really," but added, "If you don't take them out, I'm going to have to, and I'm not sure that would go well."Aric nodded his agreement and started using the tweezers.Despite every groan of anguish and hiss of misery, he dug out every last piece of wood. After removing debris from the incision, Ar

I held my breath and comforted Aric while he drank, cradling his head in my arms like a newborn.I suppose I could have let him summon a servant, but I preferred that he feed directly from me for reasons I can't even begin to fathom. The least I could do after he spent so much time and effort helping me remove the splinters was to offer him a drink. Never before have I heard of a master going to such lengths for their pet.His hands ran up and down my back as he drew me closer in his arms. The claws of his fingers dug into my back as he hoisted me off the floor. He pulled his fangs away from my flesh and licked the cut to seal it.As I laid my head on his shoulder, I felt his fingers ease off my back and begin making little circles on my skin. Can you take care of yourself? Because of Aric's question, I straightened up from where I'd been slouching because of dizziness.I finally dared to look at him and said, "I suppose so."How are you doing now? I looked into his ebony eyes and inq

It took about an hour to arrange for a new door to be installed and the room to be cleaned up to its usual standard.Aric decided to take Liberty for a stroll during the break to clear his head while the others worked.Even though it was cold outdoors, he felt warmer when she smiled brightly at the suggestion. She clapped her hands enthusiastically and exclaimed, "I'd love to!"Her grin wavered as she questioned, "But what about the sun?" How much would that hurt, if at all?Aric groaned and said, "I told you." "We vampires are more sensitive to sunlight than humans are, but that doesn't stop us from going outside at noon. When he saw that her excitement was making it difficult for her to remain still, he replied, "Put on your shoes, and we can go."Then she rushed to a nearby chair and yanked on her boots while giving him a peck on the cheek. When Aric saw that she was prepared, he offered her his collar. When he saw the happy expression fade at the sight of it, he almost decided not

When I saw a group of tiny white blossoms trying to break through the thick pine needles covering the ground, I bent down and brushed the pungent needles aside. After selecting a couple, I rubbed my hands together to release the flower's delicious, spicy aroma.I held out my cupped palms to Aric and said, "Here, sniff."He bent forward and took a smell, seeming doubtful. He then stood back up and added, "Spicy."I sniffed my hands again and told him, "It's phlox." "Once upon a time, my father owned a book about wildflowers. I read it about twenty times before he finally agreed to swap it."I wiped my hands on my knees, got to my feet, and continued my investigation. If I didn't find anything interesting, I'd glance to Aric for approval to continue exploring.Seeing his approval, I descended the steep hill toward the running stream. The road was in terrible shape as I emerged from the woods. To get a better look at the river, I sprinted over the cracked asphalt, enjoying the roar of th

He drew her closer, relishing the sensation of her lips on his. He was overjoyed when he felt her respond to his advances and her lips part for his inquisitive tongue.Freedom, he said, raising his head to look her in the eyes. She reached out and gently stroked his cheek as she called out his name.He picked her up and took her into the trees so that he could feel her body against his. He put her down and kissed her passionately as they tugged at each other's clothing. While Aric tore Liberty's leggings and underwear from her body, Liberty hurriedly undid Aric's belt, opening his pants and freeing his member. He picked her up and trapped her against a nearby tree, his manhood probing her wet orifice. He purposefully allowed the tip to tickle her inner folds, preventing her from slipping over him.He cooed, "Say it," savoring he

I could pull myself up and glance around when I realized what had happened; Aric was standing over me with a horrified expression on his face. That was the last thing on my mind after we had done it.I felt a knot in my throat as guilt and disgust for myself overwhelmed me.I turned my head away and wiped my lips in the dark to get rid of the bloody taste.I forced myself to my feet and, with tears streaming down my cheeks, tugged my sweater as low as it would go to hide my exposed legs.Aric led me into the woods and made me beg him to take me and wonder what I had done wrong.Did it have anything to do with the fact that I bit him?In a low voice, I whispered, "Aric," and I looked at him for the first time.
