As the vampire picked me off the ground and carried me into the bathroom with one arm over my back and the other around my knees, I tried to stifle the rising panic washing over me.

It didn't even look like he was using much effort to carry me, which was very strange.

"Flip the switch," the vampire said while pointing his head in the direction of a switch that was gold-plated.

To comply with what I was told, I had to immediately shut my eyes to protect them from the brilliance that had begun to flood the room. In reality, the light illuminated both of the rooms. It appeared as though the bathroom had a closet that was connected to it and that closet was only partly stocked with clothes.

Every square centimeter of the side of the bathroom was covered in gold or marble that had been polished. It was so huge that even the bathtub could accommodate three to four people.

My master walked across the room and positioned me in front of a shower with glass walls before I could see much more of what was happening.

It took me a second to realize that the vampire was undoing the buttons on my jeans while I was too busy being awestruck by the vast assortment of handles and shower heads.

Forgetting my new position in life, I attempted to smack his hands away, but he grabbed me by the throat and pinned me against the glass behind me. I was helpless to escape his grasp.

"You dare assault your master?" He demanded, the black slits of anger in his eyes just barely apparent through the veil of golden hair that fell over his face.

I choked out the words "I... I'm sorry," hardly able to get them out of my mouth.

I was sent careening down the smooth surface after he suddenly released his grip on me almost as quickly as he had seized me.

He yelled at her in a furious tone, "Don't ever do that again," His voice was strained from the emotion.

He left me speechless as he pulled off my clothes before he did the same to himself.

When he pulled me into the steaming shower in front of him, I turned my head away to avoid looking at his body since I was intensely blushing.

Before running his fingers through its knotted strands and rinsing out all of the dirt and debris that had been caught in it during the hunt, he washed out all the dirt and debris that had been caught hunt with shampoo that had the most divine scented shampoo I'd ever had the pleasure of smelling. His hands were quick and efficient.

After that, he got a sponge and cleaned my entire body, starting at the top of my head and working his way down to the bottom of my feet.

He also washed behind my ears, although the length of time he spent on my chest caused me a great deal of discomfort.

My mother was the only one who had ever caressed me when I was a baby, but my new master was touching me in places that no one else had ever touched me.

I couldn't help but notice that he paid special attention to my inner thigh, hip, upper arm, and neck. These were all areas I knew from school to be the locations on my body where my veins ran closest to the surface.

After he was finished with me, he pushed me to the side and swiftly began working on cleaning himself up.

Even though I made a conscious effort not to look, I couldn't help but be in awe of how handsome he was as I saw his olive skin stretch tautly across an extraordinarily muscled back while he scrubbed himself clean.

All too quickly, the gush of hot water ended, and my lord emerged from the shower, trailed by a cloud of billowing steam as he opened the door.

As the vampire emerged from the shadows,

I began to shiver as I waited to be instructed what to do while the shower's warmth was quickly beginning to evaporate. As I became colder and colder, my teeth began to chatter as the coldness increased.

As I stood there taking in the sights of my new house, tears streamed freely down my cheeks. It was futile to continue hiding them now that it was established that I was being held captive.I had been so close to freedom, just moments away from it, but then I made one dumb mistake, and my opportunity was lost.My enclosure was spacious enough to stand up inside it without my head coming close to colliding with the bars positioned above me, but, given that I was barely five feet tall, this did not say very much. When I extended my arms in one direction, I could almost touch the bars, while the other direction afforded twice as much space.Turning, I stood there and watched as my new master staggered towards the bed like a drunk, barely making it there before lying motionless on top of the covers. My heart was trying to open up to worry, but I kept it from entering by repressing it. To me, it didn't matter if the vampire lived or died. It wasn't my fault unless you count the following:

Aric woke up with the stench of blood left to dry, itching at the tip of his nose.He blinked his eyes to clear the sleep from them and then glanced around for the source of the odor, attempting to recall whether or not he had left a cup of blood out for an excessive amount of time.Aric's eyes came to rest on the cage, and in an instant, his memories of the hunt came flooding back. This caused him to sit straight upright. As he got a closer look, he noticed that the cage was in a state of disorder, that the bed had been destroyed, that the mattress had been ripped up, and that there was a smell of blood everywhere. He sprang from the bed and hurried to the cage, where he quickly unbolted the door and kicked a piece of blood-stained wood out of the way.His companion animal was found snuggled up against the bars on the opposite side of the enclosure, blood and mattress stuffing caked all over her legs and hands.Aric was taken aback when she suddenly jerked her head up and stared inte

When Aric witnessed the magnitude of the harm that she had caused to her hand while attempting to assist him, he couldn't help but feel awful for her. While resting his elbows on his knees and clasping his hands together, he sat at his coffee table.Aric simply sighed and continued to look at her in silence since he was at a loss for words. He scrutinized her face, taking note of the delicate scattering of freckles on her nose and cheeks, the fullness of her lips, despite their dryness, and the flecks of gold in the iris' of her terror-filled eyes with the red rims."Again releasing a heavy sigh, he said, "Well, I guess we should start with the basics." My name is Aric, with an "A" at the beginning. What do you have?"She spoke gently, scarcely detectable even to his vampire hearing, and whispered, "Liberty, Liberty Hope, but my mum names me Bertie." Her voice was barely heard even to him."Hope for Liberty?" Aric questioned with a smirk on his face, clearly thinking the option to be

I couldn't believe someone had just brought an entire mountain of food for me.In addition to the hot chocolate, there were items that I could identify, such as fried eggs, thick slices of white bread with REAL butter, sausage links, cinnamon rolls topped with frosting, bacon, and other things. Was Aric anticipating that I would finish all of this food?As I looked between him and the mountain of food in front of me, I was trying to think of a way to tell him that there was no way I could eat even half of what was in front of me, let alone the whole thing, when he let out a hearty laugh. As I looked between him and the mountain of food, I was trying to think of a way to tell him that there was no way that.He laughed as he drank from the mug of... blood he had in front of him and told her, "You don't have to consume it all." "Since you wouldn't tell me what your preferences were, I requested that they deliver you a sample of everything that had been cooked that morning."After you've

Aric could not take his eyes off his hands as he thought about the blood, her blood, that was trickling from his fingertips.I had no intention of causing her any harm.Angel was her name, he replied, his voice cracking with the emotion he was feeling. Since she was thirteen years old, I'd kept her, and she was more than just a pet to me; she was my closest friend. As he continued, he moved to sit cross-legged on the floor. "You see," he said, "when slaves reach the age of twenty-eight, our regulations stipulate that they must be disposed of in one of two ways." They are either delivered to a facility where they will be bled to death, and their blood will be added to our supply, or they are transported to a breeding clinic where they will be artificially inseminated an excessive number of times until they are unable to have children. He sniffed, unable to look at Liberty as he continued, "Angel was scheduled for the clinic." When I was finally able to use the restroom, the idea that went through my head was, "I never realized a body could store that much liquid and not burst."As I washed my hands, I was astounded when the hot water started coming out of the faucet instantly. When I got home, it would take the water anywhere from five to ten minutes to get to a temperature that was even close to lukewarm, but here, the water was so hot that I almost scalded myself. And the soap, oh the soap, had a lavender scent with a hint of lime, which was very different from the lye soap we had back at the house. The soap I discovered beside the sink did not cause my hands to become brittle and dry like other soaps; rather, it left my hands feeling soft and smooth.Because I wasn't sure whether I should use the clean towels, I decided to dry my hands on the front of my shirt instead. For the sake of safety. When I opened the door to go back to my place at the table, I observed many human slaves running back and forth.

Her lips and nail beds had a bluish tinge, and she kept rubbing her arms and legs to warm them up. Her skin was pale. After spending the entire day ignoring her, he began to feel bad and decided to feed her and then focus on buying her more suitable apparel. He continued to glance at her while he questioned, "Hungry?"Liberty did little more than nod while expending all of her strength to conceal the fact that she was trembling.Aric's voice can be heard on the phone saying, "Dinner, a negative, and something wa
