"The one up North or down South?" James asked Damon. Damon ran a hand through his hair before he turned to look at me. His breathing was heavy, ragged. He turned around again, his back facing us."Take her up north." and with that he stormed out of the room.*****"Where exactly are you taking me?" I asked James quietly as we were walking through the woods. We left as soon as Damon left my room. I couldn't even change or say goodbye to Latifah. He just wanted me out of his house.I think I even killed someone. It was an accident, but he wouldn't even listen. So now here I am, going off to God knows where."I'm taking you to an isolation cell." he told me, giving me a sympathetic smile. A cell? He's sending me back to a cell?"A cell?" I said. "Don't worry, it's not actually a cell, it's like a small cottage." he assured me. "The Alpha has a soft spot for you, he never sends anyone to the one up north, the one down south is even worse than a cell, trust me. This one isn't so bad." he sa
I woke up abruptly to the sound of something crashing. The bathroom door was broken down and a shirtless Damon stood before me.'What are you doing here?" I asked him sitting up.He ignored my question and came over to me and picked me up in his arms. I slung my arms around his neck and looked him in the eyes."Damon?" I asked, he was acting weird. He looked me in my eyes his blue eyes shining."Shhhh ... " he said before leaning in to place a soft kiss on my lips. He pulled back with a small smile. I was just staring at him wide eyed. A small smile creeping onto my face."I'm sorry." he said. I smiled and buried my face in his chest. He held me tighter. He's sorry? He's sorry. Finally."I love you." he added. I love you, I love you, I love you. I love you ......"Latifah, what are you doing in here?" I suddenly woke up staring at a sad looking Latifah. I sat up abruptly, banging my head against the toilet.Ow." I whined. I looked around, I was still in the bathroom.Wtf?! I was dreami
After three more hours of reading I finished the first book. Well that's one book down. Four more to go. I immediately took the Sea of monsters and continued my reading adventure. It was getting to five o'clock and I was beginning to get tired. The book was nice and all, but I needed to do something else. I was beginning to feel dizzy. I put the book down and went to my room. I walked to the window and opened the curtain.Looking out at the woods at this time is not half as creepy as when it's in the night. I really want to try and forget what I saw two nights ago. My childhood nightmares keep coming back to haunt me. Nobody even knows what I dream about, not even Mavis. Its not something I like to discuss. I opened the window and stuck my head in between two bars. To my far right I could see the sun getting ready to set. It really looked beautiful in the now orange looking sky. This could be a very nice landscape drawing.Maybe when Latifah comes, I could ask her to get me a sketch pa
Damon stood there, all sweaty and breathless. He walked over to me in the fireplace. He bent down and took my hands and carefully pulled me out of the small space, my left arm hurting slightly as he did so. When I stood up my knees buckled because I had been in that position for quite a while and blood flow had sorta ceased.I wasn't about to fall down but my legs did wobble so I put my arms on his shoulders to steady myself as his hands also grabbed onto my waist holding me in place.I looked up to see his scorching blue eyes looking back down at mine. His eyes roamed my body and my face for a minute before he spoke."Are you alright?" His voice was very low and he actually managed to look concerned. And I found myself falling for it. I just nodded still in shock from what just happened. One minute I was running away from here, the next I was being chased back hereby some rogue. And now I was being saved by my 'mate'. Which wouldn't be necessary if you would just come out when I need
His eyes flashed a bright blue before he stood there staring at me wide eyed. The anger in his eyes being replaced with shock.Do you have any idea what you are asking him to do?Yes, and I want to break whatever mate bond we have. He quickly comported himself and shook his head abruptly."No." he simply stated. No?"No?""No." he deadpanned."What do you mean no?" I asked exasperated. What the hell was he trying to do?"I mean No, period." he said, crossing his arms over his chest, his face hard."What the hell is wrong with you? I said "eject me!" I yelled at him. He had to be the one to reject me, he was an Alpha, I couldn't reject him. It didn't work that way. That much I knew"And I said I won't do it!" He yelled right back.He turned around pacing back and forth in the room tugging and pulling on his hair. He walked past the couch kicking the small coffee table sending the books and the table flying to the wall. The table shattering on impact. He came to a stop and took deep brea
He raised his eyebrows waiting for my answer."Latifah ." I said as he came to the couch and sat down beside me.He offered me his glass.I shook my head gently saying no. He smiled and shrugged and took a sip of his drink."Well, Latifah , I haven't seen you around here before, so I guess you are from the new pack that joined?" he asked me, turning his head and looking at me while flipping some of his bangs off his forehead."Yeah." I said turning to look at the television. I wanted to avoid any uncomfortable stares. I'm an awkward person."What are you doing up so late?" He asked me whilst taking another sip of his juice. Someone sure likes asking questions."Couldn't sleep." I simply shrugged. And now, I don't think I will be able to be with someone here, engaging me in a conversation."Me too." he responded. We sat in awkward silence for a while, well it was awkward for me, until I started to feel sleepy.I turned to look at him and saw that his eyes were closed. He's asleep.. Go
He introduced himself in a somewhat Mexican accent and making an 'r' sound at the end of his name. I'd never heard that name being pronounced like that before but it intrigued me.I smiled. He had brown hair that was slightly falling onto his forehead and faded at the sides. He had light brown eyes and a nice smile."Hi, I'm Latifah . I love your accent. I'm guessing you're from Mexico?" I said trying to start a conversation. In that split second his eyes lit up like a Christmas tree.He smiled an all white tooth bearing smile and snapped his head toward Mavis who was staring at me with her jaw dropped. What's going on?"Ha! I told you someone would fall for it. You owe me twenty bucks." Antonio now said in a completely normal unforced American accent."I can't believe you just fell for thatLatifah , seriously?" Mavis stared at me a smile tugging at her lips. She shook her head disappointedly."Wait, what? Why, you're not Mexican?" I said staring at Antonio.Yes, I'm a bit slow, don'
He didn't stare at me for long, then he walked past me and went to his seat and sat down.Everyone else sat afterwards.I clumsily sat in my seat feeling some weird stares on me.Bernice and some other women entered the hall and started serving the food, starting with the Alpha. Then, Marcus, James, Mavis then soon it was my turn. Our meal was eaten in complete silence with the exception of Damon occasionally speaking with Marcus.I just picked on my food, never looking up. I felt a bit shy and out of place, especially after what Damon just did a few minutes agoIt was very weird.I kept my head down but stole occasional glances at Damon. He was facing Marcus and speaking undertone with him.His dimples appeared in his cheeks each time he chewed food.If it wasn't for his cold calculating eyes, he'd actually look cute.He was still speaking to Marcus as he turned to look at me, making direct eye contact even though we're like four seats apart.I looked down feeling blood rush to my ch
My eyes. They were glowing. And they were gold.I mean, in the reflection in the water they seemed to gleam yellow like the sun, but I'd like to believe it was golden.I blinked once. I blinked twice.Nope, still there. My wolf. She actually came out.***I successfully got back like two hours later since I didn't really know where I was Okay, two hours may be an exaggeration but I was suddenly so tired it felt like forever.I literally felt drained.I even tripped and fell and no doubt opened up the cut on my forehead again. One minute I'm so coordinated and the next I'm just a tripping mess. Guess it's just me again. When I entered the house I heard arguing voices coming from Latifah's room. Which was probably my fault.I should have just done the wise thing and gone to my room. But of course I didn't. I never do.At this point, I don't even think that you're capable.I held the door knob and entered Latifah's room."Damon listen to me wh-"The voices stopped and their heads snapped
I turned to look at him with a probably stupid expression on my face. What does he mean by that?"Huh?"He rolled his eyes and sighed. He has nice eyes ...Shut up."My mother obviously thinks I'm being unreasonable, so I'll try and be reasonable. Maybe you have some hidden skill or talent, sincerely, I highly doubt that. But I'll give you a chance, prove me wrong. Feel free to show me all you got. We're out in an open field ... " He gestured towards the wide plain of field.Oh no.This was worse than dying. He wants to ...Train.You lazy idiot.Hey!I didn't really know how to respond to his statement so I went with the most ladylike and appropriate response I could muster."Huh?" I was still trying to take everything in. How'd he go from kicking me out to this?He narrowed his eyes at me and shook his head.He looked up to the sky for a minute before turning back to look at me."How many miles can you do?""Miles?""Yes, how many can you run? Top speed, no break?"He said it like h
I didn't say anything.I had run out of words to say.For about a minute.'Fine." I looked him dead in the eye as I said that one word.I was sick of all of this nonsense.I had no plan, but all I knew in that moment was that I was going to leave at once."You have absolutely no right to talk to her like that." A familiar voice scolded. We both turned around to see Latifah sitting in a wheelchair at the door frame.Damon's features immediately softened. He quickly walked over to her and started examining her face."You shouldn't be out of bed now, you know this, why are you here?""It gets very boring when you're couped up in your room all alone." She said seeming annoyed."Wait don't try and change the topicDamon, why were you speaking like that to her?"Damon's features immediately hardened again."That's none of your business.""Look Damon I get you are angry but there is no need to take it out on her. We all suffered this attack together."Damon didn't say a word, he just clenche
Fire crackling.I distractedly watched on as the burning embers danced around in the fire place, having their own little party. The wind was blowing harshly through the windows, singing it's own sad song and rustling the curtains.People were crying.Memories were flashing.A cold shiver went up my spine. But it had nothing to do with the temperature of the room.I shuddered."Are you cold? Do you want me to shut the windows?" Mavis, who had already gotten up to close the windows, asked me with concern etched across her features.I didn't respond. But she shut it anyway. It felt like my life had had no meaning ever since the day I was born.I was doomed right from the start.Latifah wasn't dead but was badly injured from the attack.Anastasia was not dead either but in critical condition. And Damon ...Damon was unconscious. He has been for the past one week.Doctors said he was injected with far too much wolfsbane.Any normal wolf should have died but he hasn't.But he isn't safe yet
It didn't make any sense to me when he first said it, the following events though made it crystal clear.Beta Shawn didn't say another word.He didn't need to.He just turned to the opened door and whistled, short and curt.Footsteps were heard echoing in the corridor until they reached our room. Everything in that moment seemed to go in slow motion. My heart was beating very slowly and heavily in my chest. Each footstep knocking it's pace down even further until they finally arrived. And then it just stopped altogether. Two men stepped in, one stood bythe door and the other walked to the center of the room holding something in hand.He threw it on the floor with a loud thump. The thing rolled a bit and was now lying two feet away from Damon.Damon's smirk fell completely, and he looked at the thing with quizzical eyes. He looked up at Shawn who just had a straight face on, then looked back down at the thing and sniffed it slightly. The blood drained from his face.Maybe its a bomb?I
He opened a door and started walking down a long brightly lit corridor. He just kept taking cool strides even though I was screaming and trying to wiggle my body out of his grasp."The less you protest the easier it will be for us Princess."I heard him kick another door open and he entered and just threw me on the ground.Yes, the solid concrete ground.Inconsiderate b*stard.I hit the floor with a loud thump and I think I felt my rib crack."Arrgh, my. Spine." I moaned trying to touch my aching back, but I couldn't, my hands were fricking chained.Instead of hearing an 'I'm so sorry, I forgot the floor was made out of concrete', I heard a loud growl from the other end of the room and a lot of chains moving. The light in the room was switched on.I turned to look at Jax and saw that his eyes were beginning to glow a faint yellow. They were fixed on something and obviously begining to get irritated.I turned my head to the other end of the room and there he was, practically drowning i
The rest of the week kinda followed the same pattern.I saw Mavis a few times but not as much as I wanted to. I hardly left the house, mainly because there was no place for me to go.Damon is constantly not around and Anastasia has been screaming the house down which is slowly driving me to suicide.Trust me, a pitch like that should be illegal. So, today, I decided to have a lazy day. Isn't everyday a lazy day for you?No, today's a real lazy day. I'm going to just while away time in the backyard.Even though it hurts me that I left myPercy Jackson books back at the cottage I was able to find some books here in the bookshelf by the dining hall. So, here I was lying on a sun loungeratthe backyard with the sun warming me a cool breeze cooling me at the same time. The backyard was huge and it had a large pool right at the centre. It had been covered though, which made me believe that he hardly ever used it.Maybe I will use it one day. Just not today.I had a glass of lemonade in one h
I don't know how but I managed to fall asleep last night. And let me just tell you it wasn't a peaceful sleep.Far from it.I could see that the sun was already high up in the sky because of the light that shone through the thick blue curtains. I was in Damon's room.I think I woke up like two hours ago but I was still lying in bed.I couldn't find it in me to get up.Utterly confused is not even close to how I feel right now.I just couldn't make sense of anything.Everything that happened last night and the past month feel like a blur. What on earth is happening to me?Scenes from last nightkeep flashinginmy head. Why was he chained? Why did he come here? Why did he kiss me?But more importantly why did I kiss back?Oh you know why you kissed back.Shut up!It felt like a dream at this point. If it hadn't been for Marcus last night, Damon would have marked me.Actually marked me.He probably would have come to his senses this morning though and killed me.So ... maybe its a good thi
It's actually really sad when you think you're about to die and you realize that there's no one in the world that would actually miss you.I mean, Mavis would cry a bit, but she'll get over it and so would Rose. But then what?Hate to admit it but my life's actually sad.My real parents are supposedly dead, my other parents whom I have known all my life kicked me out, I do not have any other known family member. I am literally alone.Oh and I have a mate who wants to kill me.You know what, I think I should welcome death.Maybe it would be a relief from all this hassle.I had nothing to loose. Absolutely nothing.I think I would have been ready for death if he did in fact come here to kill me.What I was not ready for, and I don't think I would have ever been at that moment was what he did instead. At inhuman speed, which was literally so fast that my eyes couldn't catch it until it had already happened, he was in front of me.He grabbed the back of my head and then he leaned in.It w
