CHAPTER 8

Reed felt envious of the affection Clarisa showed her grandfather. That’s why he had mistaken her for the grandfather’s girlfriend before.

It’s a good thing that the grandfather’s intentions were actually for him, which is why he wants Clarisa to stay in the mansion—to bring them closer together.

Reed realized that Clarisa was genuinely kind. He saw how much she cared for her grandfather. With him, she was always aloof and irritated. Their first meeting had been so awkward. Maybe that’s why she had been so short-tempered with him.

"Reed, take Clarisa to her room. Since you’re not married yet, I won’t allow you to share a room. Respect Clarisa, Reed." the old man said.

"Yes, Grandpa."

Clarisa glanced at Reed. If only Grandpa knew what had already happened between her and Reed.

Reed took clarisa's things and led to her new room. When the door opened, he let Clarisa enter first.

"I guess I'll just stay here outside... I might end up doing something to you inside in that room..." He jok
