This was Don Miguel’s grandson? What a twist of fate!
“No, Grandpa… I haven’t formally introduced myself to her yet. She left me in a hurry,” Reed answered.
“What did you say, grandson?”
“Nothing, Grandpa.”
Clarissa kept her head down, hoping Reed wouldn’t recognize her but it was impossible. He was staring at her intently.
“Is she your girlfriend, Grandpa? You have great taste in women.... She’s gorgeous!” Reed teased, still trying to make sense of Clarissa’s overly concerned behavior towards his grandfather. He thought she might be taking advantage of his grandfather for money.
Don Miguel’s hearty laughter brought Reed back to his senses. "No Reed, she’s not my girlfriend… This is Clarissa. She’s the daughter of our estate caretakers. She just returned from New York, where she works as a nurse.”
“Since both of you are here, I want you to know that I want you two to get married in the future... She’s the one I want you to marry, grandson.” Both Reed and Clarissa fell silent, staring at Don Miguel
“What did you say, grandpa?” Reed asked
“You heard me, dear. Don’t make me repeat myself.”
“Uh, Don Miguel…” Clarissa Exclaimed!
“Call me Grandpa, Clarisa,” Don Miguel interrupted.
“Uh, Grandpa… I thought you called me home because you were ill…”
“I’m not sick, Clarisa… I only said that to make you come home. I know you wouldn’t be able to resist me.”
“I want my grandchild to get married because all he does is chase after women… I’m old now, I want to see and play with my grandchildren while I still can…”
She can' beleive what she's hearing! Reed just looked at her as if agreeing with what his grandfather wanted. He didn’t say anything to oppose his grandfather.
"But Grandpa, why me? There are so many other women for your grandson!... and he’s a womanizer, right? Don’t you pity me, Grandpa?”
“Haha… Clarissa dear, my grandson is kind... he’s just a bit of a rascal. Just look at how handsome he is, he probably takes after me, haha… Didn’t I tell you before that I’d arrange a marriage between you and my grandson?”
“Y-yes, Grandpa, but I didn’t think you would actually take it seriously. We only joked about it!!!” Clarisa said, tears starting to well up in her eyes.
She never expected that upon arriving in the Philippines, she would encounter so much misfortune. She almost got raped, and now it seems she might end up married before she’s even ready.
“Grandpa, stop teasing Clarisa, she’s already crying,” Reed said.
“But I’m not joking. I want you two to get married as soon as possible. After all, you’re both of the right age… Clarisa, you’re 25, and Reed, you’re 28,” the old man explained.
“Okay, I’ll leave you two here for now. I’ll just go prepare our meal. Talk among yourselves, and I’ll call you back later.” The old man then left.

"Why didn't you tell Grandpa? We can't just get married! Why do you just go along with everything he says?" Clarisse shouted at Reed, clearly flustered.
Reed stared at her intently, taking slow... deliberate steps towards her. She instinctively stepped back, not wanting him to get too close, fearing he might notice how nervous she was. She eventually backed up against the table, having nowhere else to go.
"Well… FIRST, if it were any other woman, I probably would have said no, but you're different."
"SECOND, I was so thrilled to see you again after last night. Honestly, I thought I wouldn't see you again after you used my body," Reed said with a sly grin. Clarisa winced at his words, clearly uncomfortable.
"And THIRD, according to Grandpa... you agreed to marry me."
"That was a long time ago!!!" Clarisa shouted. "I was just a kid then, what do I know about marriage? I only said that to make the old man happy! I didn't know he would take it seriously."
"Deal with it, sweetheart. From now on, you’re my girl. Don’t worry, I’ll still court you." Reed lifted her chin, leaning in as if to kiss her when suddenly someone knocked on the door.
"Clarissa, Sir Reed, Don Miguel is calling for you." the caretaker called.
"Oops, saved by the bell!" Reed whispered in her ear, sending a shiver down her spine. "There’s always a next time, sweetheart. We have all the time in the world. Hahaha."
"Besides, there’s nothing you can do now. If Grandpa and your parents find out what happened between us, they’ll probably rush the wedding.... so if you don’t want me to tell them how you begged me to claim you last night, you’d better follow what I want..."
"That wasn’t me!" she lied. Her parents are too traditional. They would definitely rush the wedding if they found out.
"Really? Hahaha." Reed mocked her
"Are you trying to scare me, Reed Villaruel?"
"I'm not just scaring you, sweetheart.... and I'm willing to marry you!"
Clarissa was on the verge of tears as Reed gave her a disapproving look. He took her hand and pulled her out of the library. "Let’s go, sweetheart. Grandpa is waiting for us."
She hadn’t seen Reed at the hacienda before because he was studying in Manila and then college in the UK. As for her, she worked in New York... thanks to Grandpa Miguel’s help.
She remembered her past conversation with Don Miguel. "Clarissa, I'll pay for your education. I'll take care of it." He treated her like a grandchild. She was the one who brought joy to the old man, who was very fond of her.
She would accompany him when he went horseback riding or just sit in the garden picking flowers. She was a chatty child, so Grandpa Miguel was always entertained by her.
"I want you to be my real granddaughter, Clarissa. I’ll marry you to my grandchild at the right time."
"Okay, Grandpa!" she replied, hugging him. Don Miguel's smile grew even wider. She had only agreed to make the old man happy, never imagining he would take it seriously.
They were seen by Grandpa, holding hands as they left the library. Grandpa’s smile was huge as he looked at them. Clarissa seemed to be just going along with everything. Reed was incredibly happy... he had even planned to find the woman he had been with the previous night, he couldn't get her out of his mind. Fortunately, fate was kind to him; who would have thought that his destined bride would be her? He promised himself he would make her happy if she agreed to marry him.He had fallen in love with her the first time he saw her at the bar, and to top it off, he was the first man she had been with. Ahhh, Reed groaned as he remembered how Clarissa begged him last night. He recalled how tight she was, how soft her curves were, perfectly fitting in his hands… ahhh, he must be going crazy. If she would agree to be his wife, she won’t need to beg anymore... he'll make her happy every day... Reed grinned at his thoughts."Red, Clarissa, the food is ready... let's eat." the old man said. "
“A-hm, I just want to let you know that even though lolo Miguel wants us to get married, I am not agreeing to it. I’m not ready for marriage, and we don’t love each other... I don’t want to rush into anything.”Reed was hurt by what the girl said; it was the first time a woman had rejected him. “I’m not going to force you for now. As I said, I will court you because that’s the promise I made to grandpa. If he wants me to marry you, I will do it... as long as it makes him happy."Bullshit, Reed! You even used your grandfather to blackmail Clarissa. What a self-inflicted punishment.Clarissa just lowered her head. Why did she feel sad thinking that Reed had feelings for her? It turns out he was just following his grandfather's orders. They remained silent until they reached her house. She didn’t wait for Reed to open the door for her, she got out quickly and went inside. Reed sighed, started the car, and drove away.It looks like it’s going to be difficult with Clarissa. He wasn’t used
Although Diana wanted something to happen between them, he rejected her. He didn't want to be with any other woman because he had promised to himself that from this day on he will be faithful to Clarisa. He decided to invite her for coffee to avoid Diana's advances, but unfortunately, Clarisa and her friends were there as well. He felt guilty even though he hadn't done anything wrong. And who the hell is that Patrick? Is he courting Clarisa? Why is he so sweet with her? He even put his arms around her when they left? It seemed like Clarisa is enoying it too! Bastard!**********It was six o'clock when Clarisa got home. They had gone shopping. She treated her friends and bought the bags and shoes they wanted... her friends were overjoyed. They were like siblings, especially since she didn’t have any. Even though she was in New York, their communication hadn’t faded. They had their own group chat and would sometimes do video calls. After they went shopping, they went home because her f
Reed felt envious of the affection Clarisa showed her grandfather. That’s why he had mistaken her for the grandfather’s girlfriend before. It’s a good thing that the grandfather’s intentions were actually for him, which is why he wants Clarisa to stay in the mansion—to bring them closer together.Reed realized that Clarisa was genuinely kind. He saw how much she cared for her grandfather. With him, she was always aloof and irritated. Their first meeting had been so awkward. Maybe that’s why she had been so short-tempered with him."Reed, take Clarisa to her room. Since you’re not married yet, I won’t allow you to share a room. Respect Clarisa, Reed." the old man said. "Yes, Grandpa." Clarisa glanced at Reed. If only Grandpa knew what had already happened between her and Reed.Reed took clarisa's things and led to her new room. When the door opened, he let Clarisa enter first."I guess I'll just stay here outside... I might end up doing something to you inside in that room..." He jok
Afters their breakfast, she excused herself to go to the kitchen. She was going to take the dishes that she and Don Miguel used. She no longer gives those kinds of orders to the household staff since she was once one of them in the Mansion. She found Zenie washing the dishes when she arrived in the kitchen."Hi, Zenie..." she approached Zenie in a friendly manner but the latter frowned."The madam is here!" Zenie said with a sneer. "You're really lucky Clarisa... you were the one who got sent to school, sent to New York, and now you're going to be Senyorito Reed's wife. You're the blessed one, Clarisa!" Zenie said with an insulting tone."What are you talking about, Zenie? The Don sent both of us to school!... your the one who missed your oppurtinity!""That's beause they always compare us! You're the good one and I'm the bad!.... you're the bright one and I'm the dumb!" Zenie look at her with an angry face. She now confirmed that Zenie was indeed envious of her. "Don't blame me for
Meanwhile, Reed was overjoyed to learn that Clarisa was pregnant with his child. He was going to be a father. But on the other hand, he felt sad thinking that Clarisa didn't want to marry him. Does she find him that repulsive? He decided to let it go for now. She's pregnant, and he couldn't let her be upset. He would give her everything she wanted, as long as she would love him."Tommorow, tell you parents to come here in the mansion so we could discuss about your wedding, dear." the Don ordered."A-hm, Grandpa... I want to be alone for a while..." she said. She want to think things over. "Are you sure, sweetheart?" Reed Ask. She nodded but didn't face Reed. She was still annoyed with him."Alright, dear, get some rest. Tomorrow, I'll have your mother and father brought here so we can plan your wedding." the old man said. Reed kissed her on the forehead before leaving her room. The elder followed. When she felt like crying again, she tried to hold it back. What was happening to her?
Reed left the mansion and decided to stay in his bar for a while... he had his own room there. He called his friends Jon, Daryl, and Archie, who showed up almost immediately. They must have sensed that something was wrong."What happened, man?" Jon asked."I'm getting married in two weeks," Reed said, taking a swig of his beer."What? Why so sudden? Were you forced into it?" Archie asked."Nope... I love the girl. The problem is, my bride isn't willing to marry me," Reed replied, his shoulders slumping as the alcohol began to take effect."What? That's impossible, man! Who wouldn't want to marry Reed Villaruel? Every woman here in San Sebastian wants to marry you. You're rich, a very successful businessman, and a great catch!""Not Clarisa..." Reed said, taking another gulp of beer, determined to drown his sorrows in alcohol that night, hoping to forget the pain, even if just for a moment."Who's Clarisa?" the three of them asked in unison."My unwilling bride...""Ohh..."And because
"Zenie!!!!"Zenie froze when she heard that voice—it was Don Miguel."Why are you picking a fight with Clarisa? What has she ever done to you?""N-nothing, Don Miguel..." Zenie stammered, her head bowed, unable to meet Don Miguel's piercing gaze."Granpa... please, let it go. It's okay," Clarisa tried to defuse the situation."No!!! I won't tolerate you speaking to Clarisa like that. She's pregnant and doesn't need hurtful words making her feel worse. Don't blame Clarisa for what's happening in your life, Zenie. You made those choices yourself. I’ve always treated you and Clarisa equally, but you’re the one who ruined that balance."Zenie stood there, head down, as Don Miguel reprimanded her."It would be best if you left the mansion for a while, Zenie. I don't want to see you mistreating Clarisa out of jealousy."Zenie looked up in shock at Don Miguel. "Don Miguel, it won't happen again, please don't make me leave," she pleaded with the old man."My decision is final. I don't want Cl
Hand in hand, they walked along the beach. The strong wind blew her white dress, and she felt like a goddess, with Reed as her prince. A smile formed on her face as she thought about it."Sweetheart... do you remember when you confessed to me that you loved me too? It was under that tree, right?" Reed said, pointing to the coconut tree. She blushed... she remembered that day. They had shared happiness beneath that tree. After what happened between them, she finally told Reed that she loved him too. She still remembered how happy her husband was in those days."Uh... what happened again? I can't remember," she lied."Is that so?" Reed replied, not believing her. "Do you want us to reenact it so you can remember?" he said with a playful smile."Alright... remind me," she said. Her husband took her hand, and they went to the tree he pointed to. She panicked... what if he meant what he said about repeating what they did there? Luckily, they were the only ones at the resort because Lolo Mi
"Glenda!!!" They were startled when Reed suddenly appeared out of nowhere. His gaze was fixed on the two women, and their faces turned pale."What is this nonsense?" Reed shouted at them. He didn’t stop his wife from speaking; in fact, he was glad to hear Glenda’s plan of trying to separate them directly from her own mouth. He had been too kind, and now he was always being taken advantage of. It was up to Reed to make the decision for both of them."Ah, Kuya Reed... nothing, we were just joking around, me and Ate Clarisa..." Glenda said calmly, her act returning."That’s not what I heard! Why did you say you were supposed to be my wife if Clarisa hadn’t come? Because I’ve been treating you and your mother well, you thought you could marry me?" Reed’s voice was full of anger."Kuya... huhuhu... I'm sorry... I did that because I love you... I’ve loved you since I was a child," Glenda explained. She grabbed Reed’s hand, but he shook her off."Sir Reed, please forgive Glenda... she’s st
CLARISA:Clarisa remained silent. She didn’t tell Reed that her memory had returned... maybe it was due to the blow Fernando gave her to the head."Sir Reed!" An older woman called out as she approached them. Clarisa recognized her... it was Aling Nena, Reed’s caretaker at the resort."So you're here too, Mam Clarisa. Long time no see!" she smiled at her, but the smile was obviously fake."Hello, Aling Nena. I’m sorry if I don’t remember you well... Reed told me I’ve been here before?" Clarisa replied."Yes, Mam, but...""Kuya Reed!" A woman's voice called out, and it was Glenda, Aling Nena’s daughter. Clarisa remembered that she had a crush on Reed, which was why she had pushed her on the rocks that caused her amnesia. As usual, Glenda was wearing a crop top and skimpy shorts. She was about to hug Reed, but he avoided her."Glenda... so you're here too..." Reed said, sounding uninterested. He probably felt that she was flirting with him."I found out from Mom that you were coming, so
Clarisa has been transferred to a private room, and Nanay Celia and Tatay Kardo arrived from Quezon Province. Lolo Miguel and Blue were also at the hospital. Blue cried upon seeing his mommy lying in a hospital bed. Clarisa was still unconscious."Anak... be strong... you've gone through so many problems, I hope this is the last one, huhuhu..." Nanay Celia said while crying. She was devastated for her daughter."Be strong, Celia... nothing bad will happen to our daughter... just trust in God," Tatay Kardo said, sitting beside his wife’s bed, holding her hand tightly. Even if it's just through his hold, he wanted to show his wife that he would never leave her."Daddy, is mommy gonna be okay?" Blue asked, climbing up onto the bed and lying next to Clarisa, hugging her tightly. He felt tears well up. "Yes, anak, mommy’s gonna be okay.""Blue?"They were surprised when Clarisa suddenly spoke… she was awake! He stood up quickly from his seat and went to his wife. "Sweetheart, you’re awake?
REED:He arrived at the hospital to pick up his wife. He went to the nurse's station, but Clarisa wasn’t there yet. Her friends, Patrick, Cyena, and Loren, were already there."Hi guys, where’s Clarisa?" He asked her friends."She hasn’t arrived yet. She left a while ago!""Where did she go?""She went to room 206. The patient requested for her because they know each other. She’s been gone for a while, but she said she would hurry because you were coming." Cyena said."Who is that man?" He asked, puzzled."His name is Bernard, but Clarisa said she doesn’t know anyone named Bernard. She just went to see him to get it over with."He didn’t know why, but he suddenly felt uneasy. He quickly ran towards room 206."Reed, where are you going?" Clarisa's friends shouted, but he ignored them, rushing to reach room 206. Clarisa's friends also ran after him.He didn’t knock; he immediately opened the door and saw Clarisa lying unconscious on the floor. A man was on top of her. The man was also s
CLARISA:They had been staying in the mansion for a month. Blue and Lolo Miguel had also gone home. She could say she was happy with her life. She had a loving child and husband, and her friends had helped her get a job at the hospital where they worked. Even though Reed said she didn't need to work anymore, she refused... her body longed for the work.Reed would take her to and from the hospital. She wanted to avoid bothering him, but he wouldn't allow it. He said he was happy when he served her. She didn’t make a fuss and decided to give him what he wanted."Sweetheart, I’ll pick you up later, but I’ll be a little late, okay? I need to stop by the bar first," Reed said when he dropped her off at the hospital."OK, sweetheart, no problem. Actually, I can go home by myself... I’m fine with it.""NO! I want to pick you up. You always end up in trouble... those crazy guys keep bothering you!""Hahaha... yeah, you're right! Fine, just pick me up later!"She got out of the car when they r
The sun's rays woke him up. He had forgotten to close the curtains last night because he missed his wife so much. He looked at Clarisa beside him. She was still sleeping soundly, curled up in his arm... both of them still naked. He smiled... he couldn't count how many times they made love last night. He made the most of the opportunity. It felt like a celebration for them because Diana was no longer in their lives, and they had no more problems. Their family would be happy again. He carefully got up, being cautious not to wake his wife. He would let her sleep a little longer... he had worn her out.He went to the bathroom to wash his face and get dressed. He would make breakfast for his wife. He smiled... he used to do that before... he would always bring breakfast to his wife in bed before she woke up. Now that they were back together, he would return to doing the same things for her. When he returned to the bedroom, he brought breakfast for his wife. It was ham and eggs with garlic
He embraced Clarisa once again… they were still unclothed. His manhood was pressing against her lower abdomen. He kissed his wife and guided her to lie down on the bed. They kissed again like there was no tomorrow, his tongue entering Clarisa's mouth as if searching for something, and then their tongues began to duel… “ahhmm…”He shifted his lips to Clarisa’s neck… gently biting her there while his hand freely caressed her firm breasts. “Ahhh… ahhhh…” moaned his wife as he continued nibbling on her neck. He sucked on it like a vampire.“Shit, baby… I missed you so much!” he uttered with intense passion. He spread Clarisa’s thighs and positioned himself between them, then brought his lips to her breasts. He sucked on her right breast like a child thirsting for milk, while his fingers played with the nipple of the left one.Clarisa arched her back in pleasure, overwhelmed by the sensation, almost losing her mind. “Ahhhh... ahhhh…”Moments later, his hand slid between her thighs again, a
Reed breathed a sigh of relief when Diana and Jorge finally left. He never thought this moment would come. Kiel was not really his son—Jorge was the true father. Diana had only made him take responsibility for the child to avoid the shame of being a single mother. Though he wanted to be angry at Diana, he was just grateful that everything was over. He was finally free to be with Clarisa again, and she would no longer be jealous of Diana. He quickly went to the bedroom where Clarisa was. She had no idea what had just happened because she hadn’t left the room since they arrived. He knew she was upset with him because of Diana’s rudeness. When he reached the door, he knocked. “Sweetheart… can you open the door, please?” There was no response. He knocked again, but still, no sound came from inside. He decided to use the key—perhaps Clarisa had fallen asleep. When he opened the door, she wasn’t on the bed. He heard the sound of running water from the bathroom and smiled. Just in time, he t
