CHAPTER 22

"I told you, don’t call me that!" Her voice grew louder, irritated with Jorge. "Give me my project. I need to pass it later so I can graduate. Now, get out of my face!"

"Okay, Diana. I’ll just wait for you later after your classes," Jorge said meekly.

"Whatever... just leave," Diana dismissed her boyfriend.

"Why did you even say yes to Jorge, Diana? Eww, you two don't match! Look at him, so tacky, while you're one of the popular girls at school," her friend Therese said.

"That’s why I told you not to spread it around that the nerd is my boyfriend! I’m disgusted by him. I’m only using him to graduate. You all know I'm on thin ice with my dad. My grades are barely passing. I’ll break up with him once I graduate. We only have two weeks until graduation... I just need to endure a little longer."

“Do you guys even kiss?” asked Chie, another one of her friends.

“Of course not! Eww, I couldn’t do that!” Diana replied, shuddering in disgus

"You're awake, my love?" Jorge's voice broke through.
