ARYA WAYNE

Walking alone on the road wasn’t that scary; I was a few minutes from home, and that is all that mattered. As I walked, I thought I felt like someone was following me. I turned around, but there was no one; I assumed it and continued walking, but my instincts were right; I could feel the presence, but I couldn’t figure out who was following me.

“Can you please just show yourself? I hate being followed around and stalked." I said so, but no one showed up. I stopped in my tracks and turned to look around, but no one was around. I ignored the feelings and walked faster, but I could still feel a presence on my back.

“What the hell is wrong with you? Are you just afraid of showing your face here, or whats wrong with people hiding behind shadows?” I asked aloud, and I heard shuffling in the woods.

“Okay, I am done playing this stupid game with you. Just show your damn face and stop playing these games; I am not in the mood for this.” I said I was already pissed off and fed up with

ALPHA LEOI can’t believe that my mother tricked me into thinking that something awful had happened to her. She just wanted to know how things were between Arya and me and to discuss the latest ideas from the council of elders. I can’t believe that I left Arya all alone by the road and drove like a maniac only to find my mom seated with some of her friends, enjoying a glass of wine. How stupid of me!I was working when I got a call from my secretary, “Alpha Leo, Dylan is here to see you.” She said in her angelic voice, “Okay, let him through, and please bring me a cup of coffee.” I said as I hung up and focused on my computer that there was so much to do that I didn’t want to waste much time hanging around doing nothing.A few minutes later, Dylan walked in. One look at him, and I knew something was wrong, though I couldn’t guess what it was. I looked up from my computer.“Hey, what’s up buddy, everything okay?”"No… I don’t know, man, I think something is wrong somewhere. How is your

ALPHA KAI Meeting Arya in the evening was part of my plan, but I didn’t think she would be adamant about meeting me, and when she agreed, I changed my mind about marking her. I had made up my mind to just mark her and get done with things, but with how easily she agreed to meet me, I had a change of heart.I even recalled the last conversation we had with my mom about the whole dating issue: “I think the best thing to do is to just mark her; don’t be a fool, and don’t be like your father.” She said, and I was confused.“What do you mean by saying I shouldn’t be like my father?”“Your father and Leo’s father were also mated to one beta from the same pack, and things got tough, but, in the end, Leo’s father was brave, and that is why he got what he wanted, Leo’s mom.” She said so, and I chuckled.“So, I should have been Leo in this whole scene?” I asked, and my mom gave me a This is not a joke’ look, but I shrugged; I just didn’t know that my father and Leo’s father had a history going

3RD PERSON’S POVThe shrill howling of other wolves through the woods woke Arya up; it was the full moon, and every wolf in the pack was happy; that was the only time they got to shape-shift willingly and as they pleased, except for the strong alphas that were able to shape-shift whenever they wanted. She was not really into the pack’s daily routine, but she still trained like other wolves just in case. It had been two weeks since the encounter with Alpha Kai of the moonlight pack, and she had decided to keep her distance between the two. If she needed to make any sensible decisions, then she was going to make them on her own without the two serving as a distraction.Even though avoiding Alpha Leo was proving to be hard since they always bumped into each other, she was determined to stick by her decision by not letting either of them get in her way. Things had been going great for her, but she was still worried about the whole mate thing that kept tormenting her every damn day. That ni

ALPHA KAI“I gave you one simple rule, one simple task, and you failed terribly. How can you fail so dismally?” I asked the leader of the pack’s warrior, whom Beta Brian had suggested would make a difference, and he failed. I looked angrily into his eyes, and he walked back in calculated steps. He was afraid, but I was not in the mood to punish anyone; the only thing that mattered was finding Arya before that bastard Leo laid his filthy fingers on her.“I think we should go back to the drawing board and figure out what happened and where she might have gone; she is not at her place. I had one of the warriors look through her house, but there is no sign of her.” Beta Brian said he was trying to soften my heart, but I was not falling for it again.“You know, I really will appreciate it if you just shut up and let me think. I gave you one simple task, Beta Brian, and you assured me that this team wouldn’t fail me and that Arya would be here this morning; where is she? Where the fuck is sh

ARYA WAYNE The night was successful, or maybe not; everything was fine until I decided to be on my own. I felt like I needed to talk to Leo before I went home. I ran all around looking for him, but I couldn’t find him. Emily was nowhere to be found either, and I felt like I just needed to go home. Then it dawned on me that I still had a key to his grandparent's house, and he permitted me to chill at his place whenever I felt like I needed some space to myself.I went back home as fast as I could and changed into something cozier. Dad was still not around, so I left him a note telling him where I was going, took the key, and hailed a cab. It didn’t take long before I got to his grandparent's house; it was just like the last time I was there with him.Since I didn’t have so much to do, I decided to call Emily. The phone rang four times before she picked it up.“Hey, I have been looking all over for you; what’s up?” I said almost immediately.“I am good. I looked all over for you, but yo

3RD PERSON’S POV“I know it is him; he took her to punish me, and I have no fucking idea why he would do something so heinous like that. You know I am already tired of these stupid games he is trying to pull; I should go meet him face to face so we could save ourselves the trouble of fighting every other time things are okay on my side.” Leo said as he paced around the room angrily.“I am sorry, but this is not a matter of you two fighting now and then; it is a matter of solving and saving that young girl; she deserves nothing but the best. You can fight Kai whenever you want, but not until we find her.” Sophia said as she tried to reason with him.“Mom, you don’t know what this bastard is capable of; he is doing this to get back at me, and I know the only thing I can do is fight back; I am not as weak as he thinks I am, and maybe it is time for me to show him that, you know what mom? I am sick and tired. Kai this, Kai that. Who does he think he is?”“Okay, I need you to calm down and

ALPHA KAII knew it was either my father or Leo following me, but I didn’t want to take any chances. I drove straight to work, parked at my usual spot, and waited for the car to leave, but I noticed it was parked a few meters away from my company’s premises.I ignored the car and got out of it, headed straight to the entrance, passed by a receptionist before I walked to the elevators, and pressed my floor.“Have my coffee brought to my office, the usual, with two sugars and no cream, and please call in the head of security; I need to talk to him,” I told my PA as I walked straight to my office. A few minutes later, my PA walked in with the coffee and my day’s schedule; I checked through and there was no meeting. As I sipped my coffee, there was a knock on the door. I mumbled, Come in, and looked up from my computer.“Sir, I was told you wanted to see me." He asked as soon as he walked into the office, and I looked up from my computer.“Yes, and please call me Alpha Kai,” I said as I us

ALPHA KAI’S The day seemed long to me; I couldn’t even concentrate at work. My mind ran back to the incident in the morning, to her innocent face, and to the way she kept judging me and throwing tantrums. It made me even more attracted to her; I loved her feisty side, and I weirdly missed her.“I think I should spend the night with her, get to know her, and hurry things up before Leo reaches her,” I said to myself and Beta. Brian cleared his throat. I was surprised but brushed it off.“Alpha Kai, are you now talking to yourself?” He asked, and I sighed.“What does it seem like I am doing? Anyway, what are you doing in my office?” I asked, and he shrugged his shoulders in a carefree manner.“I knocked, and I guess you were so engrossed in what you were doing that I let myself in any way; I don’t want to waste your time, and I came here because of your mom. She is in the lobby, and she wanted to see you; she asked to see you there; she is in a hurry.” He said, and I shook my head, tryin

ARYA WAYNE LANCE If someone told me once in my life that I was going to be the Luna of the Red Crescent pack, I would say a big no, my life wasn’t always flowers and roses even though my family was royal and my father was an Alpha, no one liked me and when I say no one, I mean everyone from school and my pack. That is not even the problem because I didn’t care about that, what worried me was the fact that my life came to a halt when I didn’t get the normal changes on my body like other wolves in my pack and when I turned nineteen, I thought things were going to work for me finally but that is not how things turned out for me. And when my family lost their pack and everything, I knew there was nothing else left for me, I felt like my life was already tangled and I just wanted to grow up and get a life of my own but when my mother was ‘killed’ I knew life was over for me, I had lost my brother already and losing my mom was a big blow to me, my father was there for me the whole time a

THE MEMORIAL AFTER PARTY The plan for Leo’s memorial went on well, Sophia was able to pull up the whole invitation list and a lot of people attended, he was perhaps loved by a lot of people.“Leo was my great friend and he was loved by many, I included. He went too soon when we had just started becoming great partners on a business project we were working on but his legacy shall always live amongst us, I owe him one and it is not only that but I wish one day when we meet, I would tell him how his life has inspired most of us, just like in the famous show I watched some years back, a great man once said, ‘Los modales hacen al hombre’ until we meet again." Ryder said and everyone clapped, he wanted to say something during the memorial service and Arya let him, the two had become great friends and had been working on a project together before he died. “My son was good, just like his father, he always knew what to do and always put his family first, to him family was all about those who

When Arya got home that evening, she was busy with Rowena, she had started spending most of the time with her daughter ever since she lost her husband. “I didn’t think you would come so early today, how was work?” Sophia asked as soon as she walked into the house, she was carrying a bag in her other hand. “Yeah, I didn’t think I would come off early too but here I am, what have you got for us today, man I am starving and I didn’t want to bother the maids so?” she said as she walked up to her and took the bag from her. “I got your favourite, I figured out you don’t like cooking when you get back from work and all that, so I brought your favourite, how is she?” “She is okay, the flu is gone and I think she is okay, she is starting to get walk on her own and I can’t wait for her to grow up, she reminds me of Leo.” She said in a low tone and Sophia nodded, talking about her son was something she didn’t feel comfortable disusing especially after his death. “I know he is watching over h

Death is not something you would wish for your worst enemy, it strikes and reaps off our loved ones, a permanent thing with no reversal. Arya was in mourning for over one week and when they lay her husband to rest, she knew she had to partake in the duty of becoming the Alpha and continue serving her people just like Leo had always done before. “Things are not easy as they were, people have lost faith and they are still mourning their dead Alpha, I think we should give them time to recuperate and you know get back on their feet.” Beta Max reported to Arya week after the burial session was over. “No, I am the one grieving but I am here, can’t you see that, Max?” She shot back and Max sighed, he didn’t know what to say next so he just let her continue talking. “I know we are all grieving but I am here working for you guys, working for this pack because that is how much I love you guys, I lost a husband, the love of my life, the father to my baby, and my best friend but I am here at wor

The death of the alpha of the Red Crescent pack had spread fast across the basin, and many came in to console Arya who could barely hold herself together, she had cried the whole morning, and not even Emily was able to restore her faith that everything was going to be okay, her eyes were sore red and every time she looked at Leo’s body, the more tears streamed down her cheeks. “It is going to be okay; I don’t know how well I can put this, or how I can console you or make you feel better but I am going to be here for as long as you want, Leo is gone, I know it is the hard truth to say but that is the reality,” Emily said to her and Arya just nodded amidst tears, she was sobbing uncontrollably but Emily was there for her, calming her down.“You don’t understand Em, we just spoke this morning, had a long chat with him and he even asked to hold Rowena and you know…when he said he was dying…I thought he was overreacting and I assumed, I went to the bathroom and on coming back, he was gone…

The following morning Arya woke up earlier than usual, she breastfed Rowena at around five in the morning and went back to sleep, she was feeling tired and since Leo was still sleeping soundly next to her, she didn’t want to wake him up, she just pulled the duvet covers over them and went back to sleep. She was woken up a few minutes later by a groaning Leo, he seemed like he was in pain, she was suddenly alarmed and got up to check on him. “Babe, are you sure you are, okay? What is going on?” She asked worriedly and Leo just shook his head and moved to the other side of the bed, he was struggling to breathe and was constantly stopping to catch his breath. “I don’t think I have much time left, I am…I am dying my love…and…I don’t know what to say to you… right now but…it…is…time.” He said as struggled to breathe and Arya’s heart skipped a beat, they had just shared a great moment the previous night and didn’t think it was the last time they spent the night together and now he was try

Days after the deep discussion with her mother, Arya had a hard time thinking over what her mom had suggested, she didn’t know if it was the right thing to do. She contemplated talking to her husband Leo about it but every time she summoned enough courage to ask him about it, she backed out and decided not to.She was currently in her force going through the week’s schedule when she got a call from Miranda, the project they were working on was doing well.“Hey, I was passing by and I thought it would be best if we discussed something on what we are working on, I will be a bit busy next week. So, I didn’t want to be an inconvenience to you in case my schedule doesn’t match out.” She said over the phone.“Oh yeah, you can come I am just around going through some files over here but I can create some time for you, where are you?”“On my way over to you now.” She responded.“Just come to

It had been one week since Katie moved back to French Basin; she stayed in the hotel for a few days but Alfred suggested she moves in with them. I felt like maybe she just didn’t want to help perform the spell and all that, so, I decided to go behind her back and bring my mom back on my own and I almost fucked things up. My mom isn’t ready to come or she just doesn’t want to come.” Penelope said to Katie one evening as they were hanging out in a café just across the street.“I know how that feels and honestly if there was a way, I could bring back everyone I have lost in my life, I would have done so a long time ago but that is not how things work my dear.
