CHAPTER SIXTY TWO

THIRD PERSON POV

When it was past 9,Carnelian went back to Adriena's room, and when he opened the door,he saw her eating the food he placed on the table

" Is the food not cold?" he asked her immediately he saw her eating

" I don't care. I woke up feeling hungry, and I had no choice but to eat this as I was too weak to go downstairs to microwave, " she mumbled to him while there was still food inside her mouth

" You've slept before I could bring the food to you,"

" You should have woken me up to eat," she said

" I wanted to,but seeing that you are fast asleep,I don't want to disturb you as I want you to have a peaceful sleep. I must have taken a toll on you," Carnelian said as he took his seat on the bed with Adriena

Adriena did not reply to him as she continued eating her food. There was silence in the room, and not until she finished her food that the silence was broken when she cleared her throat.
