2024-10-29 19:42:56" Mine." The dangerous and menacing voice demanded in front of everyone in the room. All the Alpha's from nearby packs and even ones that have travelled long distances to be here.
Mason finally loosened his grip around me and I noticed the women standing next to that stranger with a horrified look on her face. She tried to grab his arm but he shook her off and marked towards Mason and me.
I very subtlty pushed Bella to the side away from where this man was coming for us. Just in case anything happened, she could be ready to duck and cover.
" You are mistaken. Her father has already promised her hand to me in marriage. Once she turns 18 we will be marked and mated." Mason announced proudly and another menacing growl erupted from that mans throat.
" You are not touching my mate." He growled out through gritted teeth.
" He's your mate." Bella whispered.
" Who are you?" I asked.
" Tyler Lowe. Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack." He announced. And my mouth almost dropped open. They were a large pack. They were known for their strength. They were not to be messed with. I knew of their pack, but I had never met their Alpha and didn't know what his name was.
" She is not your mate. She has been promised to me." Mason gritted out. This was going to get out of hand. Really quickly. But another man stood in and placed his hand on Tyler's shoulder.
" My name is Cade. I am Tyler's Beta. And I'm sure you know young man that it is against werewolf rules and nature to come between a wolf and his mate. Especially that of an Alpha wolf." Cade educated Mason.
" I know the laws. And I don't give a shit. Her father promised her to me. And she will be mine." Mason insisted and Cade had to hold Tyler back after that.
Mason was soon accompanied by his two friends Levi and Lochie and then the head warrior Tobias shower up as well. He had been on patrol outside and heard the commotion.
Ethan filled Tobias in on everything that was going on and Tobias looked at Mason is shock.
" How can you justify coming between these two. Their goddess given mates. Their destined to be together." Tobias argued.
" I don't care what the goddess has in store for my daughter. I promised her to Mason so Mason shall get her." My father's drunked voice boomed through the room. And Tyler turned to look at him in shock and Tobias looked at me worried. He was gradually standing between me and Tyler and Mason who were about to have it out. He didn't want me to get hurt.
Tobias was a really good friend of Ethan's so I've also known him since I was really little. And Tobias was one of the very few men in this world that I trusted with my life.
" Alright. We don't need this party to turn into a disaster. How about we go and talk about this in the conference room while my guests enjoy the party." Alpha Matthias said.
" Stay here with my mate. Don't leave her out of your sight." Tyler demanded of his beta.
So Alpha Matthias, my father, Mason and Tyler all walked off to the conference room and I was left standing there like a stunned fish.
" Why the fuck didn't you tell me that your father promised you to that dickhead Mason?" Ethan asked.
" I only found out this morning. I guess I still haven't processed it." I explained.
" Well, like fuck that's happening. Go and start packing." Ethan says.
" What?" I asked confused.
" Cade. If she packs and sneaks out the back, will you be ready to get her in a car and get mind link your Alpha and get her the hell out of here?" Ethan asked.
" You want me to help kidnap her?" Cade asked.
" It's not kidnapping. Tessa can't stay here. Not with Mason and definitely not with her father." Ethan says.
" Would you two shut up." I say as I look over my shoulder at Levi and Lochie who were standing a little way away from us. They probably couldn't hear us because of all the other talking in the room but they were definitely watching.
" Tessa. I'm not stupid. I know what you're father is like. Especially when he's drunk. You need to get the fuck out of here. Now. This is your best chance." Ethan says.
" He's right. You need to leave." Bella says.
" What about you? I can't just leave you. If I run away then they will make sure that I never see or talk to you again." I say.
" Don't worry about that. I'm home now and I'm not going anywhere. I'll make sure that doesn't happen." Ethan insists.
" You better not be planning anything stupid Tessa." Levi says coming up behind me. So I turn to smile at him.
" When have I ever done anything stupid?" I asked and Wyatt spat out his drink by accident. Knowing that I was known for doing stupid things. Ever since I was a kid.
" I don't think Tyler came here alone tonight." I say looking over at the women that was giving me the worst death stare that I had ever seen in my life. If looks could kill then I would definitely be ash by now.
" That's Rachel. Don't worry about her right now. We need to worry about you. You're the Alpha's mate." Cade says.
" She has been promised to Mason." Levi says.
" Okay. I'm going to pretend like you're not even here anymore. Because you are pissing me off." Cade says turning to be on the side of me so that his back was to Levi.
" I can handle those two." Tobias whispered to me.
" This is crazy. There's no way we will get away with anything. They will be right on our asses. Dad will never let me leave. You all know this." I declare.
" Tyler just mind linked me. He's calling the werewolf council and reporting this. They aren't allowed to come between a wolf and his mate. That's our first and foremost absolute law." Cade says.
" Oh my god. The werewolf council. Dad is going to be so pissed." I say starting to panick. I was having a little trouble breathing after that and then I had to hold my ribs because they were killing me. I was in so much pain at the same time I was on the verge of having a panick attack.
" Breathe. Just breathe. It's a panick attack. I told you what to do with a panick attack." Tobias told me trying to lift my arms over my head to open my lungs up but I ripped my arms down and hissed in pain.
" Is she hurt?" Cade asked.
" I don't know. Probably." Ethan says. " She told me that she was rough housing with some warriors. But I doubt it." He contrinued.
" Tessa doesn't rough house with my warriors. I don't let them rough house with any girls. It's too dangerous because girls' aren't allowed to train." Tobias says.
" That's what I thought. Her dad did it." Ethan announces to Cade. And he looked at me confused and with a little sorrow in his eyes. So I couldn't actually look him in the face once Ethan said that.
" Would you all shut up. I am standing right here. Stop talking about me like I'm not here." I snapped while still having trouble breathing.
It wasn't long before the conference door slammed open and Mason stormed out of the room, through the foyer and out of the house. His friends followed him and then my dad, Tyler and the Alpha came out afterwards.
" You should go pack your things sweetheart." Tyler says to me. I guess the council told them what was what. I was leaving with my mate.
" We will help." Cade says.
" That's not necessary. I can help her pack and I want to say goodbye to my only daughter." My dad slurred his words. I then saw Cade mind link Tyler.
" Too bad. We're definitely coming." Tyler says.
So we started walking up the grand staircase, down the hall and around a bend until we went through another door and down another hallway to another door. That's where our apartment was.
It was two stories but we were already upstairs on the second level so I went into my room and my father, Tyler and Cade followed me.
I went to the wardrobe and they saw that I had a lot of clothes and they thought it was good that they came to help. I would need all of these clothes if I was going to be a Luna. A lot of functions and everything that would be put on that I would have to host.
I lifted up to grab a suitcase from above my clothes but hissed in pain and grabbed my ribs.
Tyler's arms were instantly around me and I could feel sparks of electricity racing up my sides where he was holding me. I was stunned for a moment but then he reached up and grabbed my suitcases.
My father only leaned against the doorway and watched and I walked to the bathroom and I started packing my toiletries. But once I was in the bathroom alone I heard the door slam shut behind me and lock.
I spun around and dad was standing there with a menacing look on his face. And I heard Tyler and Cade banging on the other side of the door.
" I know you think you have escaped me for now. But don't think you are staying there for too long. I will get you back. And when I do, you will regret everything that you have put me through tonight. The humiliation, the torment. Everything." Dad growled as he stalked closer to me and I kept backing away until I hit the bathroom wall. " You can never escape me. I will get to you no matter where you are." He gritted out.
" Why do you care so much? I thought you would be happy that I was leaving." I snap back.
" Because you are my daughter. I made you and I can treat you anyway that I want. I won't let that new Alpha dickhead get in the way. We will get you back. And you will be sorry the second that we do." He assured me.
The door finally broke off the frame and Tyler grabbed my father from behind and threw him out the door where Cade caught him and took him outside my room.
" Are you alright?" Tyler asked putting his hands on my shoulders. The same pleasurable sparks caused goosebumps on my skin.
" Yeah. I'm alright. He likes to scare me. That's all." I say.
" Well, let's hurry up and get this done so we can get out of here." Tyler says.
We finished packing all my things and Cade went and put them in the car. I didn't bother getting changed. I stayed in my dress because Tyler wanted me away from there as fast as possible. But I did say goodbye to Bella and gave her a hug and Ethan promised me that we would stay in touch. He would see to it.
I then hugged Ethan, Wyatt and Tobias. Much to Tyler's dislike. But they were my friends. The only people that meant anything to me in this pack. I had to say goodbye to them.
Cade then opened the front door of their car and told Rachel that she would be riding up front with him on the way back. In which she shot me another death stare. And then Tyler opened the back door for me and I got in the car. He went around the other side and got in the other side of the back seat while Cade drove.
Only my friends came out to see me off. Probably because the Alpha ordered everyone else to stay inside. But Ethan would never listen to his father. He hates his father. And Ethan was now old enough to take the pack if he wanted to. Even if that meant killing his father, Ethan would probably do it if he knew everything that his father had done.
We started driving out of the pack and it was really quiet at first until I heard a shrill irritated voice in the front seat.
" So Tyler, I guess this means that we're not getting married next week." Rachel says. And I snap my head over to him.

After Rachel's revelation in the car, the rest of the two hour trip was definitely quiet and very uncomfortable. TYLER POVWell, tonight is definitely not how I expected it to turn out the way it did. I was just meant to go to a simple party but I find my mate instead and bring her home with me. This wasn't going to be easy for some people. I knew that. But when Tessa came out of the shower, normally a mate would be drooling over that sight, but it made me want to kill someone. The state that she is in right now made so much sense as to why she couldn't get that suitcase down and why she wasn't letting anyone touch her tightly or anything. TESSA POV Tyler and I talked for a little while after that, but he was able to fall back to sleep. But I was unable to go back to sleep. I lied in bed with my mind racing with everything that I told Tyler. I honestly didn't know what came over me. I felt like I could be completely honest with him but this wasn't the type of thing that I told anyone. Even Bella didn't know about the rapes. She just knew about the beatings because they were harder to conceal. I saw the sun rising through my window so I got out of my bed quietly and I got changed into black and red tights, a red top and a sweater over the top with socks and sand shoes. I went to my wardrobe and grabbed a bag out of there and I left my room and crept out of the house being careful not to wake anyone. WARNING - SOME CONTENTS WILL BE DISTURBING I was in the hospital all afternoon hooked up to that IV and throwing my guts up before the IV's were finally empty. TYLER POV I stood at the door frozen. The warrior was right. I didn't want to see the scene in front of me. Parker was on the floor holding and unconscious Tessa in his arms. He had pulled a blanket down on top of her but there was blood everywhere. There was blood all of Parker, Tessa, her bed, her floor. It was everywhere. My wolf howled in my head and before I knew what was happening I was walking further into the room. My eyes were black. My wolf was in charge. He had taken over. And as soon as I got close enough to Tessa, Parker backed away. He knew that he wasn't a threat to my wolf because he was mated. But he didn't want to be near my wolf right now. "She's been stabbed twice in the stomach. And there are other injuries." Parker muttered out. And I sat there quietly trying to regain control. I shook my head until I was able to push my wolf back and I was staring down at my mate. "What other injuries?" I demanded. But Parker didn't answer me. So I snapped my head up at him.

TYLER POV As the army drew closer only the patrols were visible and the rogues stopped just on the other side of the boarder. My patrols came together to look at them but we couldn't communicate with them. The rogues were the first ones to crouch down a bare their teeth. They then charged at my patrols that were grossly outnumbered but as soon as they stepped foot over the boarder then the rest of us came running out and clashed with them in a thunderous collision. They weren't expecting us to be ready for them and some retreated immediately. But most stayed to fight until their last breath. I saw the three bigger wolves fighting through the crowd and the biggest of them all. A massive black wolf who I assumed was Ethan lunged at me, but to my surprise he tackled the rogue that was coming up behind me and tore his throat out. Ethan just nodded at me and we kept on with the battle. We fought left, right and center. But the rogues are so little that they can't really stand a chance.

TESSA POV Dr. Missy made me stay in hospital for three days to make sure that I was completely healed and the wolfsbane was out of my system and Tyler stayed there with me the whole time. TESSA POV I was in hospital for three days in that pack before I was finally stable enough to leave and Cade drove us home while Tyler sat in the backseat with me. It felt good to be showered and in clean clothes again. It took three hours to drive back home from there and when we got there I was surprised by all my friends at the house waiting with a surprise party. I still wasn't at 100% but I was so glad that my friends were there for me. Even Ethan, Kaylee, Wyatt, Tobias and Taylor were there. TYLER POV Cade floored it the whole way to the closest pack territory and I needed permission from the Alpha to enter his land. But once I told him who I was and the situation that we had here, he let us straight in. I took Tessa to the hospital and the doctor was already waiting for us. I carried her in and placed her on a bed in a waiting examination room and as many times as they tried to get me to leave, I wouldn't leave the room. The checked all her vitals, drew blood, and did a lot more examinations on her. And a lot of it was hard to watch. My mate had been gone for four days now out looking for Tessa with Tyler and I had nothing to do but have nightmares about the situation or pace around the house and try to clean every surface of the packhouse. TESSA POV I woke up the following morning to someone opening the door again and it was Sawyer. He was bringing in my breakfast for me. He placed the tray down on the side of my bed and he checked my bullet wounds. The one on my shoulder and my arm. And he needed to change the dressing. "How did you sleep?" Sawyer asked. TESSA POV I had been slipping in and out of consciousness for a couple of days now while my body tried to mend from the poisons. And the morning that I did wake up and I felt completely lucid it took me several minutes for everything to register. The attack at home, being shot and poisoned and kidnapped. I looked around the room that I was in. It was pretty basic for a mansion that we were in. There was only a bed and a single chair across the room from me. I felt a sharp pain around my ankle and I looked down to see the silver shackle around my leg that was attached to the bed. I started kicking my leg. Trying to get it to break the bed leg but I wasn't strong enough yet. Then I heard the door handle turning and I shimmied back against the back of the bed and I rested my hands over my stomach. TYLER POV Carter gave me photos from the security camera's out the front of the packhouse and I growled as soon as I saw a man holding my mate. But then I stood in my chair and glared at the photos. "Why is she bleeding. You never said that she was bleeding." I growled out so loud that the windows shook. "That's what alerted me to the problem in the first place. One of them shot her while in the bedroom. I'm guessing she tried to use her powers because she was shot in the forearm. And then I guess that's when they got her with the darts. But when they came out of the packhouse that women came up and she shot Tessa in the shoulder to prove that she would kill her if she had to." Carter explained cowering back from me. "She should have healed from those gunshot wounds though." I say trying to calm myself down. "They were silver bullets. I could smell the silver." Carter says. And I grabbed the side of my desk and threw it across the room and it shattered when it hit the wall.
