CHAPTER 10: ALMOST CAUGHT

LILY’S P.O.V

“What are we going to do now? This little goody-too-shoes  b**** is ruining our plan!!! I’ve heard that he plans to marry the fool. We have to do something soon! We can’t let this happen” I said, fuelled with anger. “What do you mean? I thought that she wasn’t a threat. That’s what you told me, didn’t you?” She asked me, confusion in her voice however she was still calm and I was grateful for that. “I know Eva, but this girl…you don’t know her. In fact, I don’t think that anyone knows her. She has every one fooled. She seemed so innocent and stupid when I first saw her but look at her now, she has woven her way into marrying your ex-husband. What would we do now? How would you get him back now?” I asked. “Oh Cummon Lily,  we both know that that Alexander La’Vardo will never be able to resist me. When I come back into his life he will forget all about this little naïve Cara. No one can stop me from getting what I want!” Eva’s words were bitter over the phone. “I’m not so sure if that is the case anymore. She seems to have him mesmerised as well. Cara has him wrapped around her little finger Eva. He loves her, he loves her a lot, it is visible on his face and in his eyes and the worst part of it all Eva is that… she loves him too. The more she shows him her love, the more he would realise that you never loved him and if we don’t act quickly then there would be nothing that we can do to break them apart and get him back. ” I said. “We will have to come up with a plan and we have to do it fast! I will do some research on her, hopefully we can find some dirt.  No one is perfect, I’m sure that there is something that she has done wrong, even if it was a mistake and if there is nothing… then… I’m  sure that I can make something up. Don’t you worry Lily ” Eva said wickedly. “Okay sister, I will do the same” I said. “No Lily. Leave the research to me, all you need to do is make sure that this wedding does not happen!!!” she instructed me. “Okay Sister. It’s time to go back now. I will see you soon” I said. “Okay and Lily, make sure that no one finds out that you and I are related or then our plan would be ruined… you only have to be a servant for a little while longer. When I am back, I will not fail to get rid of La’Vardo this time and take all of his inheritance. Everything will be ours,  sister and you will no longer be a servant in that castle but will rule next to me as a queen!” was Eva’s last words before she hung up.

“Who were you speaking to?” Emma asked as when she walked into the room without even knocking. “ Ms Emma, Don’t you know that it is rude to ask that kind of question? Don’t you know that it is rude to come into a room unannounced as well?” I spoke my words bitterly and the anger was heard in my voice. “What?” she laughed at me. “What are you talking about? Stop acting like you own this place, will you? You are a servant here, I can have my brother fire you anytime I want. Don’t forget that Lily!!!” Emma’s words were said with attitude. “You are warning me, Emma? Why don’t you do yourself a favour and take your own advice instead of wasting your breath on me,” I said, a smirk on my face as I glared into her shocked and confused one. “What are you talking about Lily? I don’t need this advice! Why should I take this advice?” she asked. “Look at you! Walking into a room of which the door was closed. You have no shame, do you, Emma? Your brother had you thrown out of this house so many times and each time you will crawl right back, just like a little lost puppy. He doesn’t want you here and I think that he made that quite clear to you however you are so blinded by your brother’s money and status that you still force your way back into his life” I said and saw the pain in her eyes but soon that disappeared and her eyes filled up with determination instead. “That’s not true at all. My brother loves me and I love him, that’s the reason why I am still here. Sometimes when someone is hurt they tend to push others away, especially during the time that they need them the most, that is why you always need to be there for the family. Lily, but what do you know about family? You don’t have any! Maybe that is why you are so bitter in this beautiful world. Oh and just to be clear, I am not acting in any manner which is inappropriate. You, on the other hand, seem to be on edge. Watch your back Lily because I will always be watching you,” Emma’s words infuriated me but she walked away, not giving me a chance to release my anger on her.

EMMA’S P.O.V

‘What do I do?’ I thought to myself as I paced back and forth in the garden of the manor. Lily is definitely up to something. I can feel it in my bones and it scares me because I know she hates Cara. However, all I have right now is a really strong instinct and a whole lot of questions. Why does Lily hate Cara so much? Cara hasn’t done anything to her or brought any harm to her in any way…So why does she hate her? There has to be a reason for it! No one can hate a person without a reason. Why did she speak such poisonous lies about Cara and turn everyone against her? And who was Lily speaking to over the phone? Why was there a look of fear in her face when I walked into the room? Why did she get so upset that I didn’t knock on the door? …well…all I do know it that she really didn’t want me to overhear that conservation or find out who she was talking too. Little does she know that her behaviour is only making it more and more obvious that she is up to something and it is only making me more determined to find out what it is!!! Lily, the clock is ticking and by each second that does by I will only work harder to find out what you are up to…Lily soon your secret will be out! That I make as a promise to Cara for the sake of our friendship and to thank her for helping both my brother and I…

LILY’S P.O.V

That naive b***** smart friend is going to just add to our problems. Cara is just a kind-hearted fool and wouldn’t have suspected anything until it’s too late, however, Emma is the smart one and she is making it quite obvious that she will protect Cara. It will be very difficult to carry our out plan with Emma being an obstacle in my and Eva’s path, there is only one thing to do!! I don’t have a choice!! The only way to make our plan succeed and ensure that we get what we want. I HAVE TO GET RID OF EMMA!!! AT ANY COST!!!
