One last chance

DYLAN'S POV

She pocketed her phone before reassuring me once again.

"Look, just give me your number before heading home, and I'll call you once I find a donor for your mate.. " she said, and I quickly exchange numbers with her, just Incase I needed to call her if I've also found a donor for her.

I tried to leave, but each time, my feet would be implanted back into the floor, and I would find myself staring at Amara through the glass partition, watching as the IV fluid connected to her arm dropped in small potions and into her arm through the tube connected there.

She looked so pale and ghostly, and the heart monitor beeping next to her didn't make it any better considering that any moment now it would stop and I would loose her forever.

"I just hope she'll be able to hold up before I get back.. " I whisper, placing my hand on the glass as I stared at her, my eyes brimming with wetness.

I had never been so scared…
