CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Slowly walking into my room, I shut the door behind me, the sound echoing in the silence. My feet felt heavy as I dragged myself closer to the mirror and I sank into the chair, right in front of the mirror, staring at my reflection. Tears streamed down my face, blurring my vision as I remembered everything those two had told me.

How could this be? No, they must definitely be lying! Everything they said can’t be true!

The door creaked open, and I turned on my seat, backing the mirror, to see who was there. It was Mia. She slowly entered.

Seeing her make me broke down completely, I sob uncontrollably.

Mia rushed closer to me, lowering herself to my level, and pulled me into a tight embrace. I cried on her shoulder, the pain I was feeling was as fresh as the first time I wept over Lance.
