*BRIANNE’S POV*

I sat in my room, silently brushing my hair, lost in thought.

It’s funny how I used to love staying in the pack house, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of pack life. But now, I find myself skedaddling my way home with any break I get. Staying away from the pack house as much as possible is probably for the best.

As I brushed my hair, my mind wandered off to how much my life had changed since I met Jordyn. I used to be so carefree, but now, it felt like I was constantly on edge.

My phone suddenly vibrated to life, the screen illuminating with a text from Jordyn.

I excitedly picked it up and swiped the screen to see what he had sent.

“Will pick you up later. Dress up, we’re going on a date.” The text read.

I grimaced at the text. He always seemed like a different person over text. His messages were always so dry, lacking the warmth and affection that he showed in person. It was as if he was a completely different person when he’s typing away on his phone.
