*BRIANNE’S POV*
“What’s a pretty lady doing all by herself?” The question rolled off his tongue like candy melting off the stick, his deep voice added an extra layer to the flirtation.
“Hi,” I responded calmly.
“Josh…my name’s Josh,” He said, flashing an even broader smile.
I stared at him, mesmerized by how someone could look so cute and majestic at the same time. His looks were so inviting and charming that his flirting didn’t even feel like flirting.
“Uhm…this is the part where you tell me your name” He prompted, pulling me out of my thoughts.
“I’m Brianne” I replied, feeling a little bit caught off guard.
“Wow, a pretty name for a pretty lady,” He said in a low seductive chuckle.
He was about to say something more when a tall man barged into our little corner. His presence immediately commanded attention as his hazel-golden-like eyes locked on Josh and me.
“Josh, don’t just go around flirting. I need you with me, now” He commanded, his voice brooking no argument.
Alpha Jordyn…Everybody knows how ruthless and bloodthirsty he was. He had become Alpha of the silver-black pack at eighteen, and ever since then, no one dared to cross our pack.
Josh whose eyes never left mine, raised his brows and smiled. “See you next time?” He said before turning to follow the Alpha.
I stared at them without uttering a word. It felt like my tongue had been ripped out of my mouth.
Just as they were about to leave, Jordyn turned and looked directly into my eyes. His gaze was sharp as if it was about to cut me with its intensity. It was as though he was trying to intimidate me.
Quickly, I bowed my head slightly, avoiding eye contact. My heart raced in anxiety as I watched them walk away from me.
“Just look at her, she’s so pitiful”
“I heard she was rejected by her mate”
“That’s not even all, she doesn’t even have her wolf”
“How pathetic”
I heard whispers behind me, their mocking tone gave me the jitters. I was so pissed that I turned to them.
“Can’t y’all just mind your business?” I said in an enraged tone.
“Oh shut up you pathetic little wolf” One of the girls retorted rudely.
She quickly held her hand to her mouth as if she had said something wrong.
“Oops, I forgot, you don’t even have your wolf. Does that make you human?” They all laughed and walked away like a group of alligators.
“Shit, I want to crush them” I whispered and fought the air behind them as they walked off.
“I don’t have my wolf, and so?” I hissed. An overwhelming sense of sadness washed over me.
“Fuck this party” I looked around, trying to find an escape route without my dad noticing.
In the middle of planning my escape, my phone suddenly started buzzing, making me jump in surprise. The name and number of the incoming call were boldly displayed on the screen.
I answered the phone call, fully aware of what the caller was going to say.
“Hi baby girl” Her voice filled my ears. “I’ve got a surprise for you” She continued.
‘Alright, this is my cue to get out of this shitty party’
***
Why did I even agree to go out with Mary?
My best friend always likes clubbing and nightlife, dancing with boys and getting drunk, but I’m quite the opposite.
“Waiter, two glasses of whiskey please” Her voice echoed in a loud ring.
“Mary, where is the surprise you wanted to show me?” I asked her in a tone filled with dilemma, hoping Mary hadn’t tricked me, because that’s quite her forte.
“Chill baby, chill” She looked at me and responded seductively. “The party had just begun” She flashed a broad smile.
Unable to comprehend what she meant, I rolled my eyes, staring daggers at her. “So I left one party, only to attend another?” I asked her with almost teary eyes.
“Come on, is not that bad” She tried to assure me. “You have to go out more, let go of Marcus and get back on your feet, and my friend who is a receptionist here said a lot of rich guys booked their VIP lounge today” She winked at me shamelessly.
“I do not have to go out more and I have already let go of Marcus” I warned
“Okay, whatever, tell me about this party you attended” She poked my left shoulder, urging me to start a conversation I didn’t want to have.
“It was crap” I let out a frustrated sigh. “But I met a guy” I added, finishing my sentence with a subtle smile.
Mary gasped, holding my hand in surprise.
“What was he like?” She prompted.
“Cool,” I replied rather sharply. “His was cute and soft-spoken” A blush crept onto my face as I said that part.
“I actually don’t care about all that,” Mary debunked everything I just said, leaving me surprised.
“What I care about is…did you get his phone number?” She asked me with her eyes wide like two cherries.
“No,” I replied almost immediately.
“What?!!” Mary exclaimed. “You’re the worst Bri. So how are you gonna meet him again?” She asked, her tone filled with disappointment.
“Maybe I won’t” I answered her question, a little bit scared of what she might say next.
Mary let out a strangled sigh. “Okay forget that, let’s dance!” She screamed the last part as the music got louder.
Going out with Mary could be such a pain, she never lets me off the hook.
Forced to dance, I stepped on the dance floor and just danced the night away.
Well, the whiskey Mary forced me to drink must have been kicking in because I found myself asking for more, which is very unlike me.
I guess I really have to loosen up and step out more.

I woke up to a sharp pain piercing my lower abdomen. I crunched my stomach hoping to lessen the pain.
My head banged from all the alcohol, making it worse.
After fighting with the pain and uneasiness for a few minutes, I slowly lifted myself trying to take in my environment, which looked rather obscure to me, the stench of alcohol made me nauseous.
I looked around trying to remember what had happened the previous night when suddenly I heard a low groan beside me.
I shrieked, startled.
‘What in the world is going on?’
My pupils went wide as I watched the man who lay beside me.
Just as I was, he was also naked, but not fully naked like me. He had the other half of him covered with a blanket.
The sight before me was bizarre. What had happened? Where is Mary? Have I been raped? Why am I naked beside him? The familiar face…; what is going on?
This man! He…
Alpha Jordyn?!!
I covered my mouth, stifling a scream that was about to escape my lungs.
*BRIANNE’S POV*With wide eyes and a face plastered with confusion, I stared at the sleeping man next to me.Or I could be seeing things due to the influence of the alcohol.I silently got out of the bed. Searching for my phone and trying not to wake up the man on the bed was such a hard task. After finding my phone, I immediately dialed Mary’s number, hoping she’d have answers to my questions. How did I end up in a room with a man? and not just any man. Jordyn? What is going on?“What are you doing?”A deep voice resounded through the room, making me almost jump out of my wits. I shrieked and snapped my head towards him. There he sat, with his eyes dark as night. His hair was all over his face, making the scene before me look way too unholy.“I said what are you doing?” His voice echoed across the room for the second time. My lungs couldn’t find the energy to produce words. And worst of all, I was standing fully naked in front of a man I hardly knew.“Uhm…” I couldn’t bring myself to
*JORDYN'S POV*I stared into blank space with my legs crossed as if the weight of my thoughts anchored me to the spot.I kept my composure in front of her but deep down, I was a whirlwind of emotions.I had a lot to drink last night but I could recall what happened, although not clearly. The moment I laid my eyes on her at the noble’s party, a strange sensation cursed through my veins. It was something I had never felt before, something new. Underneath my composure, I felt my wolf tearing through my skin and trying to break free from my control as if desperate to claim this mysterious woman as its own.I had snuck out of the noble’s party because I felt suffocated in there. It was quite shocking that I also met her at the club. It wasn't love at first sight, Maybe I was just sexually attracted but there was something about her I couldn’t quite understand. It’s even more tragic that she couldn’t remember grabbing my wrist so tight and throwing me on that bed with a strength that belied
*BRIANNE’S POV*His threat sent cold chills down my throat. Is he literally forcing me to be his girlfriend?Well, what would I expect from an alpha of his reputation. Why would he even bother himself with me in the first place?“Where is your house?” His husky voice asked calmly.Another reason why I regret getting into this car. What would my father say when he sees me with him.“The second house on the ninth street” I answered, almost choking on my own saliva.Today would be the day my father would finally kill me. He’ll probably think I’m finally into some kind of hook up business after been rejected by my mate, because there’s no way in hell an Alpha of Jordyn’s caliber would have any sort of interest in me.The thought of me, an omega, catching the eye of someone like Jordyn was laughable. It is inconceivable that someone of Jordyn’s stature would be interested in me.The closer we drew to my house, the more scared I became. I silently prayed for a miracle to happen—any miracle,
*BRIANNE’S POV*I stood frozen in the darkness of my room, staring at my phone screen. The coldness in Jordyn’s voice kept me glued to the spot. I couldn’t shake off the feeling that he was watching me; even though I could not see him, my spine tingled.Out of fright, I hastily rushed to my window and slammed it shut. His words echoed in my head. ‘We’re not done yet.’What did he mean by that? I thought this whole charade was only going to last three weeks. Wasn’t that the deal? I was starting to doubt because Jordyn’s voice hinted at something more sinister, as if he was extending the agreed timeframe.“This is exhausting” I let out a deep sigh, my shoulders slumping in fatigue. I wondered if I had underestimated Jordyn’s intentions, why did I have to be caught up in an Alpha’s world? I had always tried to stay unnoticed, to blend into the background, and not draw unnecessary attention to myself. So where could I have gone wrong? His words ‘we’re not done yet’ sounded more like a pro
*BRIANNE’S POV*“Why do I have to train at the pack house?, can’t I train somewhere else?” I asked as my anxiousness skyrocketed.“So you’ve agreed to train?” My mother asked, her tone laced with surprise.I held myself from rolling my eyes. “Did I have a choice in the first place?” I retorted.“The pack house is the best and the safest,” she said, her mood seemed to have been elevated. “You could even get the chance to be trained by the Alpha’s mother. Then maybe you could transform into your wolf form” she continued, the last part came out in a whisper.“Not again” I groaned in annoyance. “ do we have to do this all the time?” I stomped.“You need your wolf Bri,” she persuaded.“No I don’t,” I said, the volume of my voice going higher as I took a step back. “Why can’t you see me for who I am instead of sending me off to some combat training? I can’t shift... Wolf wolf wolf, You all make me so sick. I don’t need my wolf,” I yelled.“Then you’re nothing more than a human,” my mother y
*BRIANNE’S POV*“That is bad news,” Mary said.I rolled my eyes at her. “That’s the whole point, of course, it’s bad news,” I said perplexed.Mary chuckled. “Your life is full of unexpected surprises, Bri. You have to admit, it’s never boring” Mary added, her voice laced with sarcasm.I groaned. “They are driving me nuts, Mary. Just because my brother now has his wolf, my father suddenly decided it would be better for me to train at the pack house?” I complainedMary tried to offer a reassuring smile. “Your father might just be trying to push you to your full potential” she tried to reason with me.“Full potential?” I repeated, my voice rising. “You know as well as I do that people training at the pack house all have their wolves already. They are not struggling like I am” I said, devastated.“This whole thing is weird” Mary’s voice became low. “Do you think he told your father to make you train at the pack house?” Mary’s question sounded more like she was talking to herself.“I doub
*BRIANNE’S POV*I stood at the entrance gate, my heart beating fast in my chest. My gaze locked onto the sign above, the logo of the silver-black pack. The metallic letters gleamed in the sunlight as my mind clouded with a sense of unease.I glanced back, my anxiety taking the better of me.The line was longer than I expected, I guess I wasn’t the only one training. The realization only added to my unease. I gripped my gate pass and training form firmly, trying to keep the papers from rustling too much.“Brianne Preston..”I almost jumped when I suddenly heard my name. Without hesitating or wasting any time, I rushed forward. The chubby lady scrutinized my forms, her eyes scanning through the pages with curiosity. Then she looked up at me, her gaze navigating my face and body with a discerning intensity. I felt a slight flutter in my chest as she seemed to take in every detail, her expression unreadable. Her eyes lingered on my face as if searching for something. I straightened my po
*BRIANNE’S POV*I scanned the crowd, my gaze awkwardly darting from one face to another. Their waiting eyes stared back at me, gleaming with anticipation. His thunderous voice boomed again. “You, pretty girl, Come up here”The lady turned to me with a faint but encouraging smile. “Go on, show us what you’ve got”My legs stayed rooted to the spot. ‘But I’ve got nothing to show’“I..sorry I think I’ll pass,” I said shakily. The lady chuckled. “You don’t get to pass.” She said. “Be an honorable wolf and go on” She encouraged. But how…how do I tell them I don’t have my wolf? How do I tell them I’m not strong enough? I tried to move my legs but they stayed stuck to the ground, refusing to budge. I knew that once I stepped into that ring, my fate was sealed. The crowd’s cheers grew louder, but their enthusiasm wasn’t for me— It was for my opponent. A tall, slender girl in her mid-20s. She snarled, glaring at me with a fierce intensity. Her eyes seemed to dare me to step forward. My legs fi
The story of Jordyn and Brianne has finally come to an end. to all my readers, I want to say the biggest thank you for your support throughout my first book. your kindness and support has been my biggest drive force and motivation. thank you and God bless!
*MARY'S POV*We stood there for a moment, wrapped up in the quiet understanding between us, the noise of the celebration around us fading into the background. It was just the two of us, finally on the same page, finally admitting what we had known all along.Josh pulled me into his arms then, holding me tightly, and for a moment, it felt like the world outside of us didn’t exist. There was just this feeling of completeness, of knowing that we had found something rare, something worth holding on to.“Mary,” Josh murmured against my hair. “I don’t care what happens or how crazy life gets. As long as we’re together, nothing else matters.”I nodded against his chest, my heart full. “Together,” I repeated, the word feeling like a promise, like something unbreakable. We stood there, holding each other, the world going on around us, but for a brief, perfect moment, it felt like time had stopped. And when I pulled back to look at him, his eyes were filled with something deeper than just affect
*BRIANNE'S POV*We moved closer to the altar, where a silver chalice sat filled with sacred water blessed by the elders. Elder Marla raised the chalice, her voice steady as she began the invocation.“Moon Goddess, protector of the packs, guardian of our bonds, we call upon you to witness this union. Bless this Alpha and his Luna, guide them with your wisdom, and strengthen their bond so that it may never be broken. May their love bring prosperity to this pack and honor to your name.”As she spoke, the energy in the clearing seemed to shift. The air grew still, heavy with an almost tangible presence. My heart thudded in anticipation as Jordyn turned to me, his eyes filled with an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine.“This will only hurt for a moment,” he murmured, his voice gentle yet firm.I nodded, tilting my head to expose the curve of my neck where his mating mark already rested—a mark that had bound us in the past but would now be renewed in front of the pack and the Moon G
*BRIANNE'S POV*The day dawned brighter than any I’d ever seen, as if the sun itself knew this was no ordinary morning. I stood in front of the mirror, staring at the reflection of the woman I barely recognized—dressed in a gown that shimmered like moonlight, hair pinned into soft waves, and eyes lined with the faintest hint of gold. It was me, and yet it wasn’t.The house was alive with a flurry of excitement. Women rushed around, pinning flowers into my hair, adjusting the folds of my dress, and murmuring compliments that barely reached my ears. My heart was pounding too loudly to process anything fully.“Brianne,” my mother said softly from the doorway, drawing my attention. She stepped inside, her eyes misty but filled with pride. “You look radiant.”I turned to her, feeling a lump form in my throat. For all the ups and downs we’d been through, having her here today meant the world to me.“Thank you,” I managed, my voice barely above a whisper. She came closer, reaching out to adj
*BRIANNE'S POV*The council chamber was a room of immense power, its high ceilings and stone walls almost intimidating. I stood just outside the heavy oak doors, my palms slightly damp with nerves. Jordyn’s reassuring hand rested on the small of my back, steadying me, but it did little to quiet the storm of thoughts in my head. Why was I even here? The council had never been my ally. Their opposition to Jordyn choosing me as his mate was no secret. They thought I wasn’t good enough to be Luna. I wasn’t born into privilege or power, and their disdain had been a constant shadow since our relationship began.Jordyn leaned closer, his warm breath brushing my ear. “You don’t need to worry about what they think, Brianne. If they say anything disrespectful, I’ll shut it down.”I smiled weakly, appreciating his confidence. “Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.”The doors swung open, revealing the circular council table where the elders were already seated. Each of them turned their heads towar
*JORDYN'S POV*The moment Brianne said yes, my world shifted. It wasn’t just the joy of hearing her acceptance; it was the realization that everything I’d worked for, everything I’d fought to protect, finally had a deeper purpose. She wasn’t just my mate—she was my future, and I wanted the entire world to see it.The day after the proposal, I summoned Mary, Janette, and Josh to discuss the wedding. It wasn’t going to be just any wedding—it would be a mating ceremony, too. A powerful display of unity for both Brianne and me, and for the pack as a whole.“Do you think she’ll be okay with it being both?” Mary asked, leaning back in her chair.“Brianne doesn’t do things halfway,” I replied confidently. “And neither do I. This is our moment, and I want it to reflect everything we are—mates, partners, and leaders.”Janette smirked. “You’re really pulling out all the stops, huh?”“Absolutely,” I said, my tone firm. “This isn’t just for us. It’s for the pack, too. After everything we’ve been
*BRIANNE'S POV*When I arrived at the location Mary had texted me, I was taken aback. It wasn’t the cozy café or lively bar I’d expected. Instead, I found myself standing outside a beautifully decorated venue. Soft fairy lights adorned the entrance, and a path lined with rose petals led the way inside.“What on earth…?” I murmured, stepping cautiously forward. The interior was even more breathtaking. The space was bathed in warm, golden light, with elegant floral arrangements and candles scattered throughout. It felt intimate, magical, and entirely unlike anything I’d anticipated.“Mary?” I called out, glancing around. But she was nowhere to be seen.My heart started to race, a mixture of confusion and anticipation swirling within me. And then, as if drawn by an invisible force, my eyes found him.Jordyn.He stood not too far away, dressed in a sharp black tuxedo that made him look like he’d stepped out of a dream. His dark hair was neatly styled, and his piercing eyes locked onto min
*BRIANNE'S POV*The days after the war felt like a blur of activity and grief. The land bore scars of the battle—scorched earth, shattered buildings, and a heaviness in the air that was difficult to shake. But the pack was resilient, even in their pain.Jordyn wasted no time organizing efforts to rebuild. Under his leadership, everyone pitched in—repairing homes, clearing rubble, and tending to the wounded. It was a collective effort, and though the mood was somber, there was an undercurrent of determination.Jordyn had barely stopped to rest, throwing himself into the work with a single-minded focus. I stayed by his side as much as I could, offering support wherever it was needed.A week after the battle, the pack gathered in the main square. The sun shone brightly overhead, as if trying to wash away the darkness of the past few days. Jordyn stood on a makeshift stage, his posture straight and commanding, but I could see the weight he carried in the set of his shoulders.Josh stood n
*BRIANNE'S POV*The next morning, I found my father in the study, his back to me as he stared out the window.“Do you need something?” he asked without turning around.I stepped inside, closing the door behind me. “We need to talk.”He sighed, finally facing me. “About what?”“About why you can’t seem to support me,” I said, my voice steady but firm.“I support you,” he said, though his tone was dismissive. “I just don’t think throwing yourself into danger is wise.”“I’m not a child anymore, Father. I can make my own decisions.”“And what happens when those decisions get you killed?” he demanded, his voice rising.“That’s enough!” my mother’s voice cut through the tension as she entered the room. She placed herself between us, her gaze stern. “Both of you, stop this. You’re family, not enemies.”My father muttered something under his breath and left the room, leaving me and my mother alone. She turned to me, her expression softening. “He loves you, Brianne. He just… doesn’t know how t
