**NOELLE'S POV**
I feel like I deserve most of what she is experiencing at the hands of the dwarfs. But after accepting to take them to where I hid the moon, they became a wee bit nicer.
I am still not happy about being kidnapped by a bunch of tiny beings, but I will take my chances and hope that when we reach my home, the dwarves will be more willing to help me out than I expect they are now.
I think I might have misjudged this place. It is definitely dwarf sized, just not as much as it was in our old world. It had been around the size of a small village. A lot bigger than I thought. I have only been here a short time, but my stomach keeps growling and I feel like I can not get enough air and it hurts so bad.
And there are not many regular sized humans around. Which probably has something to do with why I have not been able to see any other normal sized
The dwarfs are caught with the stars, and they are confiscated from them. But the dwarfs and the regular sized man say some spells and disappear before anything can actually be done to them.Noelle insists that the moon and stars are returned though, before anything else happens to them. Although the great book of spells is actually missing, Noelle knows the words by heart because they were so catchy and caught her attention as far back as childhood, when she recited them as poetry for a talent competition. She did not win, but everyone had appreciated how much it must have taken her to learn such complex Latin.Noelle, the Prince and Scarlett, still in The Prince's body, showed up in fellowship for the final spell to return the moon and stars back to Moonilia and right every wrong. As Noelle carries out all the necessary rituals and starts reciting the spells, Scarlett leaves the Prince's body.
"I deeply apologize for that. I thought it was the best thing to do at the time, but I know better now. I am so sorry." Atlas apologizes to Atlene and he nods finally, smiling as he reaches out to hold Atlas's hand. "Oh well, I guess now that all of that is resolved, I can tell Atlene everything that actually happened." Scarlett says happily. The moon goddess eventually grants them leave and bids them farewell after promising that they would return to meet everything right as it was before everything went to the fire. She called it her own little gift to her friends for saving her. The moon goddess assures Atlene that Ringan is home safely and cannot stop talking about her adventures, even though no one exactly believes her. She too has been rewarded by the moon goddess. "By the way, Scarlett." The moon goddess says just as Scarlett is walking away. Scarlett stops and bows in humility. "I just want to tell you that Sam is alright, and that her baby is fine too. Her name is Scarlet
SCARLETT'S POV"I am worried, Atlas." I say to Atlas, looking pitiably at him. "Can I still trust your father and Shantel after everything? I know this is meant to be a fresh start and everything, but I am scared. What if something similar happens again in the future? What is my guarantee that they won't turn on me again? What if this time around, I stayed dead?" I say, feeling the creases on my forehead deepen.Atlas looks with understanding at me," I understand your fears, my darling. But whatever will be, will be. And whatever will not happen, simply won't. I think you should focus on strengthening the pack though. Luke and Annabel might be striking again anytime soon, and we really need to be prepared for when they do." Atlas says wisely.I bob my head as I consider what Atlas has said. He is accurate. I have to stop living in constant fear of the future. I have to keep my attention
SCARLETT'S POV As I approach another crowd, I notice that the blonde female from before is talking. "Well, you're welcome to come to the party, but I don't think you're going to like it." The shorter person in the blue outfit seems to be frowning. "What do you mean? Why wouldn't I like it?" she asks. "It's a wolf party. You know, with werewolves," the blonde responds. "I know what a wolf party is. I'm not stupid," the shorter person retorts. "Fine. You're not stupid. But I don't think you understand what you're getting into," the blonde says, crossing her arms. "Hey, what's going on here?" I interrupt, stepping forward. The blonde turns to face me. "Oh, Alpha. I didn't realize you were here." "Who is this?" I ask, gesturing to the shorter person. "This is Amelia. She's new in town," the blonde says. "Hello, Amelia. Welcome to our pack," I say, extending my hand. Amelia looks at my hand skeptically before reluctantly shaking it. "Hi." "So, what brings you to our town?" I ask
Annabel is finally freed from the dungeon after serving time for her punishment. She emerges from the dungeon, feeling extra weak and barely able to move. Her joints squeak and her body trembles. She blatantly refused to eat any food presented to her. "I will not starve in here and die, than accept the rubbish food that you guys are serving in this sty!" Annabel said for the first ten days and when the news got to the ears of Alpha Akin, he was mightily pissed. "Then she shall starve!" He decreed, and the Alpha female shifted happily in her seat. Despite the fact that everything had been reset by the Moon goddess, the hatred for Scarlett and her pack and Annabel's being held in the dungeon had not been touched by her. Luke stays unbothered, chilling in their suite, until Annabel is finally declared free by Alpha Akin and goes back to their suite. When she opens the door, Luke struggles to recognize who she is. "Who are you?" He asks, standing up from the bed immediately to le
Annabel smiles weakly, grateful for Luke's forgiveness and kindness. She knows she has a lot of making up to do, but she's determined to do better and be a better team member from then on.Luke sets about trying to help Annabel clean up and get some food, even as he is lost in thoughts of how to make her pay for hurting him like she did. A part of him felt so much pity for her because she had been thrown into the dungeon and starved from day ten by the very Alpha she had been frolicking with. The more he thinks about it, the more it hurts Luke, until he throws a punch and lands his fist in the wall, and instantly regrets it as the hard wall leaves a gashing wound across his four knuckles. He just has to get back at Annabel. He tries to explore the forgive and forget option but it makes him so unhappy that he just accepts that he simply cannot get over her infidelity.&
SCARLETT'S POVAs she talks, I can't help but feel a sense of connection with her. Despite our different backgrounds, we both share a love for reading and escaping into different worlds. After our conversation, I lead Amelia to the dining room where everyone is waiting. "Okay, everyone, let's begin. As you all know, we have a new threat in town. We need to be cautious and alert at all times."I go on to explain the situation and the measures we need to take to ensure our safety. I also mention Amelia's confession, which surprises some of my family members."Thank you for being honest with us, Amelia. We will make sure to keep a closer eye on you and ensure your safety," I say, looking directly at her."Thank you, Alpha. I appreciate it," she replies, her eyes meeting mine. The meeting continues for a while longe
LUKE'S POVAfter the maid leaves, Annabel returns from her errand, being full of hugs and kisses that I can neither stand, nor do I need them. I really want to yank her off and throw her aside, but I hold myself down and try to be reasonable. As Annabel approaches me, I take a deep breath and try to compose myself. I don't want to hurt her feelings, but I also don't want to be smothered with affection. I take a step back and try to create some space between us."Annabel, can we talk for a minute?" I ask, trying to keep my voice calm and measured."Sure, Luke. What's on your mind?" she replies, a look of concern crossing her face."I appreciate your affection, but it's a bit overwhelming for me. I need some space and time to myself," I explain, trying to be as clear as possible.Annabel looks hurt, but she nods her head in understanding. "I
