SCARLETT'S POV
Atlas is very sweet and kind to me, and has been since everything happened with me dying and all of that. But there is a part of me that has so many unanswerable questions. I wonder about what my life would be like if I ended up with Atlene, and the thoughts scare me.
My reality is that I am a wolf, and Alpha who is capable of wanting to be with someone else aside my mate, and it makes me question so many things that I thought I knew about myself.
"Are you alright, Scar? You seem very distracted today." Atlas leans in, asking me in a warm whisper that makes my body react in heat.

ATLAS'S POV Scarlett scares me sometimes. The precision of her ticks, how assertive and outspoken she is. It threatens my mild male ego to see her be so wild and passionate and never-ending. "There's a problem, Luke. There's a very lightly problem." Denise says, looking very scared as Luke meets up with her in the wine cellar. "Okay, but please calm down and stop pacing, Baby. It's driving me crazy over here." Alpha Akin is confused with the story about his having forced himself on Denise and gotten her pregnant."What do you mean that I forced myself on her?" He asks, anger and confusion visible on his dark face.Denise's hands are shaking as she stands with her hands held behind her and her face lowered in shame. Alpha Akin orders Denise rudely, his eyes appraising her beautiful body with a hint of lust underneath all the anger."You… You forced yourself on me that evening when you were drunk, after the council meeting…" Denise says, acting scared although she is also actually scared.
