The next morning, at breakfast, he apologized to Alexia for the other night but the woman did not respond. When she was done with breakfast, she rose and before she exited the door, she stopped and turned around just like yesterday and looked at Lucian.

"I had. He died." With that, she walked out of the dining hall. Lucian loosed his appetite immediately. He was sorry to have reopened such a horrible wound.

Lucian stayed back with the Alpha female for another week. When he was leaving, he stole another hairpin and kept the last one back.

ALEXIA'S POV

She was beginning to get infuriated at the fact that the man was frequenting her territory. That was how she felt when she came back home from the meeting with the northern Betas and was told that Lucian had arrived in the morning.
