Chapter 7

My mind was awhirl with thoughts. Staring at my reflection in the glassy walls of the elevator, I thought about Jesse's warning. I wasn't supposed to be here. I didn't want this role but I guess I would have to make the best of a bad situation. Besides, I wanted more access and this was my opportunity.

At least I was new on this floor so I could actually make friends.

It wasn't too hard to find his door. I knocked and opened it to find him in the middle of a phone call with his chair turned around to look out the window.
