- "Go, go, go!" other men in white clothes pass me. They are running, and enter the room where mom is.

She's going to be okay. I asked God to make her well so we can go home and make chocolate cake. Mommy loves chocolate. I want to see my mother. When she sees me, she'll remember that she has to put me to bed before ten o'clock. I hope she doesn't get mad at me for staying up so late, but it's not my fault. It's the doctors' fault for not getting her better soon.

- "We're losing her" someone shouts, and I don't know who.

- "Not on my watch. Continue with the CPR."
