Bryan moved closer, leaning in. "I can't believe it," he muttered, staring intently at the mark on Baba Razz's arm. "It's identical and exactly at the same place and arm."

Aiden tilted his head for a moment, wondering. "How is this even possible? Are you…are we…" Then he chuckled confusingly.

"Who are you talking about?" Baba Razz asked them, his expression shifting from confusion to concern.

"Our mate, Kira." Aiden answered, sharing a quick glance with Bryan. "She has a mark just like yours."

"That's… peculiar," Baba Razz said slowly, letting out a deep breath, and then asked them. "Is it truly the same mark? Are you sure?"

"Yes! Absolutely." Bryan insisted. "We are not sure what to make of this. What does it mean?"

"Can it be a coincidence?" Aiden asked Baba Razz, "I also can't help but feel it is not a coincidence with everything you have told us about the mark."

"Unbelievable," Baba Razz murmured, shaking his head. "I need rest."

"What do you mean, you need rest?" Bryan pressed on, this time feeling annoyed. He hated how some questions would be left unanswered. "We just want to know what this means! Like you said earlier, there is a reason we found you, right? What exactly are you not telling us."

"Yes. It feels like there is something we are missing," Aiden chimed in.

"Please, you must leave," Baba Razz said to them, a look of exhaustion on his face. "I can't talk anymore. I have exhausted myself for today, you need to leave."

Bryan and Aiden stared at Baba Razz for some moments, unsure if they should believe him or not. They thought he was just pretending so they would leave, and sincerely it was fine, they decided to let it be. So, they got up, preparing to leave.

"Thank you for accepting us into your home, for your time and your knowledge," Bryan said to Baba Razz on behalf of himself and his brother before they turned to leave.

As they turned to leave, suddenly, Baba Razz's eyes turned white. Then, just as quickly, his eyes returned to their normal state.

"Wait," he called out, his voice suddenly firm. "If your mate ever needs help, send her to me, alone. Alone," Baba Razz repeated, emphasizing on alone. "I will help her."

"Let's just go," Aiden said quietly to Bryan.

"Yeah, let's go," Bryan agreed as he glanced back at Baba Razz before they left.

As they stepped out, the wooden door creaked shut behind them. Bryan and Aiden paused at the porch for a moment, breathing in the earthy scent of nature.

"Damn, we spent half of the day in there," Aiden muttered. He then pulled out his phone to check the time, holding it up, so Bryan could see. It was almost five in the evening.

"Yeah, no kidding," Bryan glanced at his watch and gave a low whistle. "Let's head back," he stretched and cracked his neck.

Heading back, they walked in silence. They were lost in thought about Baba Razz's strange behavior, a bird giving a sharp cry from a distance somewhere as they walked.

"Still can't wrap my head around that mark and Baba Razz's strange behavior. It is weird, isn't it?" Aiden inquired from Bryan.

"Yeah." Bryan agreed absently, glancing up as they reached the village and were now out of the woods.

He saw a few villagers moving about, preparing for the evening. They both did. A man carried firewood under one arm, while a child chased a stray chicken down the street, giggling.

"Smells good," Aiden commented, sniffing the air as they passed the pub.

"We could grab some ale later after calling Kira," Bryan suggested, nodding toward the pub. "I could use something to take my mind off all this."

"Sure… I'm down," Aiden agreed.

Just as they were about to turn toward their lodgings, a woman's voice called out to them from the side of the street. "You there! You two. Can you lend me a hand, please?"

They turned to see an older woman, her gray hair neatly braided. She stood by a wagon laden with heavy sacks of grain. "The miller's boy never showed up to help me unload these," she huffed, patting the side of the wagon. "My old bones aren't what they used to be. Would you mind giving me a hand?"

"Sure." Bryan and Aiden shrugged, "We got time."

"Thank you, boys." The woman smiled in relief. "These bags aren't going to unload themselves." She gestured to the wagon, and Bryan and Aiden got to work, hefting the sacks of grain one by one onto their shoulders. It didn't weigh much to them, but they didn't let it show.

"What is all this for?" Aiden asked the woman, setting down a bag by the door of a small bakery, which they assumed to be hers.

"For the bread and ale tonight," the woman replied with a grin. "You can't have a proper night in the village without it."

"Sounds like a good night to me," Bryan chuckled, wiping his hands on his handkerchief once they were done.

"Thank you again," the woman said, handing each of them a small loaf of fresh bread in gratitude. "You have saved me a lot of trouble."

Aiden smiled and gave a polite nod, as did Bryan. "No problem. Enjoy the night."

They continued down the street, the warmth of bread in their hands as they headed back to their room.

Pushing open the wooden door, they stepped inside their room, the faint warmth of fire greeting them.

"Finally," Aiden muttered, taking off his jacket and throwing it onto the back of a chair.

Bryan did the same, rubbing the back of his neck. "The bread was totally worth it," he said, chuckling.

They ate in silence for a moment, the bread warm and soft. Bryan took a drink from a pitcher of water by the window as soon as he was done and handed it to Aiden, who did the same.

"Should we call her?" Bryan asked, wiping crumbs from his hands and reaching for his phone.

"Of course, we have kept her waiting long enough," Aiden replied, a grin tugging at the corner of his mouth as they were both seated on the bed, getting excited to hear her voice.

Bryan tapped on Kira's contact, and the phone rang only once before her soft voice came through the speaker. "Hii! I have been expecting your call," she said cheerfully, bringing a smile to Bryan and Aiden's face.

"Hi, my love," Bryan murmured, his tone softening. "How are you?"

"Hey, gorgeous," Aiden added playfully, leaning closer to the phone. "We miss you a lot."

"I am great, and I miss you both too." Kira responded while laughing softly. "Although, it had been too quiet without you two."

They talked about everything and nothing, how much they missed her laugh, the things that happened in the village, but omitted the part about Baba Razz for the moment. Kira teased them a bit and also filled them in on how things were going in the pack. For the teasing, they teased her right back, making her laugh until her sides started to hurt.

"We can't wait to be with you again," Bryan said softly at one point, his voice sincere.

"We really can't wait," Aiden admitted too, also sincere.

"Same here," Kira whispered. "It feels like it's been forever."

"I know right," they both agreed with her, chuckling.

"I have to go now, though," Kira said reluctantly after a long pause. "But we will talk again soon, okay?"

"Yeah, of course. Take care, my love," Bryan replied, his voice full of love and warmth.

"We will talk later, amore," Aiden added. "I love you."

"I love you both," Kira said softly before ending the call.

Kira set her phone down just as the soft knock came again from the office door. She glanced up, brushing a lock of hair behind her ear, and called out,

"Come in."

The door opened, and he stepped in, holding a file folder. He greeted with a small nod of respect and a smile, "Luna."Kira smiled back warmly. "Hey, Ryker. What do you have for me?" she asked, gesturing for him to sit across from her at the desk. They were currently in the main office, downstairs. Ryker took the seat and flipped open the folder. The Alphas are also aware of this but because of their meeting, a decision concerning this has not been made yet.""How many are we talking about?" Kira leaned over, scannin

The young man immediately with widened eyes raised his hands, palms open like he was surrendering. "I am so sorry, so, so sorry! I thought you were someone I knew, my girlfriend. You both have the same body type," he stammered."Please Luna… I did not know it was you. Please forgive me. I would never." He begged and knelt down before her quickly, bowing his head. "Please, I'm sorry."Kira looked at the young man and scanned him closely. His voice sounded soft yet strange at the same time, and his apology did not feel natural. It was like he was trying too hard to convince her or something. "Body type as your girlfriend?" Kira raised her brow and scoffed in her mind. "I see," she thought, still watching the young man as he pleaded for her forgiveness. She then took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a second, thinking of what to do. The young man was obviously overdoing it, but she kept her expression blank. "Get up," she said when she opened her eyes, giving him a neutral look. H

Kira was all alone now as she reached for the small bowl of sauce beside the burrito. She had even forgotten that the burrito came with a rich, brown chipotle sauce. As she took the sauce in her hand, she carefully poured it over the warm wrap. The sauce soaked into the burrito as it darkened the tortilla, making Kira gulp from want. She was already licking her lips and as soon as she was done and satisfied with the amount of sauce she had poured on the burrito, she set the bowl down."Come to mama," She whispered, flexed her fingers, and then picked up the burrito with both hands. "Ouu."The burrito felt so warm and soft against her hands, and the first bite was everything. "Mmm!" She moaned out as her teeth sank into the slightly toasted tortilla, the seasoned meat, sautéed peppers and melted cheese, all coming together in her mouth. She enjoyed how the fillings burst onto her tongue."This is so good," Kira sighed from satisfaction. She hummed softly in appreciation, taking her tim

"Thank you, Dave. But I am sorry, I don't have any work for you right now." She inclined her head slightly. "Goodbye."Without waiting for his reaction, she stepped aside and walked away. "He is so weird," Kira thought while she walked away. The happy smile on Dave's face slowly crumbled. He now had a tight frown on his face, his jaw clenching, and his breath growing heavy. "Did I do anything wrong?" He asked himself. "I was being very nice to her. Does she not like nice?" He asked himself again as his hands curled into fists, nails digging into his palms. "How could she reject me? How could she reject my offer?"As he kept talking to himself, his rage grew. "I only want to care for her. She needs me just as much as I need her."Immediately, he turned and followed her, making sure to catch up with her. Be

Kira checked her phone and found out it was Aiden who was calling her. A small smile formed on her lips as she sat on the bed and answered."Good morning!!" She greeted sweetly, already feeling all giddy inside."Good morning, love. Did you sleep well?" Aiden asked her."Yes and no," she responded, still smiling."Why no?" Bryan, who she had not heard his voice, asked from the background of their call. "What happened?" He continued asking, his voice now closer."Give me the phone Bryan, where are you taking it too?" She heard Aiden ask Bryan. It was as if Bryan had taken the phone from Aiden and was now moving around, trying to get away from him.Kira just laughed softly at their little bickering that never seems to end. "I slept well, just missing you guys and Bryan, do you always have to get on his nerves?""Yes, I always have too, and we miss you too, love. Well… I miss you. I don't know about that other one," Bryan said with a laugh."I miss you too, my love, oh Goddess. BRYAN!"

Almost nearing where her parents' graves were, something caught her eyes-- a patch of Bluebells that swayed gently in the evening breeze.Kira's steps slowed, her gaze locking on the beautiful, delicate flowers. As instructed, they all remained seated and waited patiently for her. No one said anything, and surprisingly, the silence wasn't empty. It didn't have any tension; it was comfortable, but still had the feel of emotions that weren't spoken. Along with that, Kira sat still, maybe not too still as she kept tapping her feet on the ground and her fingers lightly on her knee while glancing around and often stealing glances at Bryan and Aiden, who would also look at her from time to time and wink, even though they were all seated on one couch. And then, footsteps. It was soft but firm, quick yet steady in approach.Elara walked back into the room holding books and pens. She moved quietly, her face not giving away anything as she walked toward them."Tear a sheet of paper and place it on your book when given to you," she said, giving all of them instructions as she stopped in front of Orion and gave him a book and a pen. Then, she turned and walked to where Bryan, Aiden, and Kira were seated

"How can you be happy? This is very sad news. Extremely sad, and even I, myself, am still trying to wrap my head around the whole situation. So, how?""Mum, I understand you completely," Kira said. "I also cried, then we cuddled and then at dinner everyone was together again. Even my emotions right now are inconsistent because I don't know if I should cry, be sad, be happy or think about it, as we have been given a specific time to be together and so cuddling with them, talking and laughing at dinner helped me realize that it was better to be happy and just forget about the sad stuff for the moment. Dinner was great as always—the laughing, the conversation, the playful banter, everything. It was no surprise that manners were forgotten at the dining table, hence the talking while eating, and now everyone was relaxed and chatting as they were all done eating."Dad, Aiden and Bryan are just… they just won't stop messing with me," Kira complained to Orion, gesturing to Aiden and Bryan, who were grinning at first but immediately kept their faces serious when she complained about them."What now?" Orion asked Kira after looking over at his twins. "What are they doing this time?""Nothing," Bryan answered before Kira could. "We are literally not doing anything to her except keeping her on her toes. She can't even stay still on those toes, you know. We are simply just having fun, father.""Exactly," Aiden said and nodded in agreement. "We are not doing anything to her.""Seriously?" Kira asked them, although she hid her smile and feigned annoyance, just so Orion could side with her."So

Leaning into Bryan, Kira took slow, uneven breaths, trying to calm herself. She knew it wasn't their fault for making such a decision, but it didn't help with how she felt inside. She was sad, exhausted and emotionally drained. She knew they would do anything for her, yet those words, "We can't ask you to wait for us," lingered, and it pained her so much. It pained her that there was nothing much she could do but leave. Staying might destroy them even more than leaving. And Kira knew that. She let out a shaky breath as Bryan rubbed her back and whispered sweet, soft words to her, her weight pressing into him as she could no longer really hold herself up. "It's okay," Bryan murmured, his chin resting lightly on the top of her head while he continued rubbing her back in slow, comforting circles. "We are here. We got you."Hearing those words from him almost made her start crying again, but she held back and nodded against his chest, whispering, "I know, and I got you too."Bryan, also

He tilted his head back and closed his eyes, his chest heaving as he tried to calm himself and steady his breathing, but that was impossible. The ache in his heart refused to let up. He took deep breaths and exhaled shakily, his knuckles already white because of how tightly he balled his fists. After some minutes of inhaling and exhaling, he tightened and relaxed his fists, before he felt a hand on his shoulder.Bryan didn't need to check when he felt the hand on his shoulder; he just prepared himself, knowing what was coming, and he knew that whatever was coming was going to be for the best."You know what we have to do." Aiden's voice was low, controlled, and filled with the pain he didn't try to hide. He stepped closer, his hand still on Bryan's shoulder.
