Ilena slammed the door of their chamber shut, her chest heaving to calm down her racing heart. The walk back to the Manor had left her shaken with the scent of the rogue bandit still lingering in her nostrils.

Dreg frowned with worry. “Ilena, what’s wrong?”

Her lips trembled, she tried to find the words. “I-in the forest.....a rogue bandit-”

His eyes darkened. “ Rogue bandit?”

“His scent, I caught his scent in the forest while heading back....i-it felt like I was being watched.” She whispered harshly in fear.

He crossed the room in two strides, firmly gripping her shoulders. “You speak of it like you are familiar with it’s scent, calm down and tell me everything Ilena...”

She nodded and allowed him to guide her to sit. The memories of their encounter flashed into her head as she spoke to him, explaining that she didn’t tell him not to bother him, that she was sorry.

Dreg was shocked, Ilena shouldn’t have kept this important encounter to herself. He remembers the last Alp

The cool night air did nothing to ease the turmoil within him as he stood on the roof of his Manor, looking ahead at the dense forest. The sky was an iron grey, rain pelting the muddy field as lightning crackled through the dark grey sky, creating more tension between the opposing kingdoms who stood about a hundred feet apart from one another. On one side stood the army of the Eastern kingdom of Thanes, their golden banners which held the kingdom’s crest of a black stallion horse, soaked wet from the drizzling rain. Across the mud-slicked field, the forces of the Northern kingdom of Sulcar stood fiercely, no banner of their kingdom was hung up, only by their ink littered skins will you be able to identify them. A tense silence hung in the air with only the crackling of thunder and lighting filling the air. The twenty thousand soldiers of Thanes sat on their horses, gripping their spears and swords tightly as it rained down on their metal armour. The five hundred Soldiers of Sulcar stood on the muddy field, they were greatly outnumbered but they were un-phased by that revelation. They stood confidently wit

In the grand halls of the Royal Castle at the Eastern kingdom of Thanes, Ilena sat on the wooden bench, watching over her seven years old brother who was being taught horse riding. She let out a sigh of envy, she had always wanted to learn horse riding but her wants were always out of the question considering the relationship she has with her father, King Egret. “Ahh!” Rhett, Ilena’s seven years old brother yelped as he fell from the horse. She gasped in horror. “Rhett!” Ilena rushed over to aid him while the instructor called for help quickly. Rhett moaned in pain and clutched his right arm which he seemed to have injured. The medics rushed over with a few guards who helped carry him to the Royal infirmary. Ilena’s heart pounded in her chest in looming fear of what is to be upon her for what she has done. How could she be so careless to let the young crown Prince fall from a horse! The sore marks of the lashes she had received just the week before still felt as fresh as

Ilena could feel her heart thundering in her chest in fear of what she had just heard from her father, the king. Loud murmurs filled the banquet hall by the nobles, they were all shocked by this new information that was just said from the king. Sir Glint stands abruptly. “We are to provide a wife for the Northern King as tribute for him to spare our lives!” he announces. Asla panicked, silently happy that daddy had spared her from marrying that Barbaric monster of a king. King Dreg of the Northern kingdom of Sulcar was known to be a fierce and vile king who kills without a second thought. King Egret cleared his throat. “I am to offer up one of my daughters for a wife as a tribute and I will be damned if I offer up my Regal princess of Thanes to that barbarian.” All nobles and officials nodded in understanding, they all drank from their chalice in celebration of peace in their kingdom. Meanwhile, Ilena stood numb with the chalice in her hand. This was a death sentence tha

Just like they had practiced the day before, Ilena walked slowly into the worship house in union with her father, the king who she had locked arms with. The melodic tune did nothing but increased the anxiety that bubbled in her, she could hear the gasp and whispers of surprise on how she looked. She shivered in fright as her steps drew closer to the dominant figure of the Nothern king who oozed confidence beside her. She had yet to look up at him out of respect but that only irked Dreg. Dreg’s heart pounded in his chest at the sight of the beautiful woman that has haunted his sleep from the first time he laid eyes upon her. A sense of pride filled his chest at his beautiful bride. Her glossy copper red hair stood out on her pale skin, the beautiful dress molded her womanly curves which made him want to rip it to shreds and see what was beneath all those fabrics. He noticed how she avoided to look up at him and trembled at their slight graze of touch. It irked him that she wa

Dreg stretched out his calloused hand for Ilena to take which she took timidly and was led outside her carriage into the drenching rain. The rest of the Sulcarn men seemed un-phased by the storm pelting down on them as they watch their king use his large body to cover his wife as they rushed into the cabin. Ilena found herself leaning closer to Dreg’s warmer body for warmth as she shook violently from the cold. They follow the elderly lady to their room and thank her. “My lady, we can prepare steaming water for your bath if you'd like?” the elderly woman suggests. A smile stretched on her lips but she looked up to Dreg to know if it was okay for her to agree, he furrowed his brows but nodded. Ilena smiled at the woman. “Yes please...T-thank you.” The old lady smiled. “This way my lady.” She showed her a wash room where there was a single bucket of steaming water and a thin white sleep wear placed for her. “Miss, this sleepwear....” Ilena was confused to why she would g

Ilena didn’t know when sleep took her after the long pleasurable night she spent with the King of the North. She blinked her eyes to get used to the brightness from the sun rays that illuminated the room. Her eyes widened instantly as she noticed the embarrassing position she was in. She laid nude and exposed on the bed but Dreg was nowhere to be found, the thought of him waking up and seeing her in that state made her face burn red. On cue, the door to the room opened revealing a shirtless Dreg who had a tray of food in his hands. Ilena quickly scurried to cover herself with the sheets with her head bowed but this time in shyness. Dreg walked over and placed the tray of food on the table. “Good morning.” He noticed as she shrunk herself further into the corner and struggled to cover herself. “Good morning.....my lord.” She muttered out just above a whisper. Dreg scoffed at her choice of words. “Back to ‘my lord’ are we, that’s not what you called me last night....”

The night ended quickly, Dreg guided Ilena back to their home which wasn’t a castle but a beautiful large Manor surrounded by a thick forest. The moonlight illuminated the Manor as they made their way into the beautiful building. Torches lit up the earie stairway that led to their room which was more grand than she had imagined. “You seem shocked with how grand this room looks.” Dreg comments. Ilena flushed red. “I didn’t expect this....” Dreg chuckled sarcastically and began undressing which caused Ilena to avert her eyes shyly. “The rumours must’ve not done this place justice.” He teased. “No wait-” He shrugged off his vest and royal beads he wore around his neck, wrist and waist. “I know what your people think of me, of the North- this Barbaric King you fear is now your husband and there’s no changing that.” Ilena’s heart thundered in her chest at the thought of being misunderstood by him. She wanted to explain that she held no sense of disgust or repulsion t

Everyone definitely heard what had happened between the both of them and Ilena prayed for the ground to open and swallow her over. Dreg brushed off their whispers and continued to work. He said it filled him with pride to know that people heard her screams of pleasure which meant that he had properly satisfied her. He left work over there to spend more time with her through the rest of the day. She spoke to him about her feelings of being neglected by him because of the unsuccessful breeding and he held her while she cried in his arms. All her worries were settled now, so she feels better. They cuddled in bed to have a good night rest and that was the best sleep they’d had in a while. Because of everything that’s been going on, she found it hard to stay asleep but with Dreg, it was quite easy. The topic of that strange rogue bandit always seemed to slip her mind and she didn’t bother to inform Dreg anymore. Voyra brushed Ilena’s hair with a frown. “My queen, are you sure

He growled lowly and captured her sweet lips sensually. Everything about her always seemed to get him addicted. “Mmmh......” Her heart raced as Dreg deepened the kiss with his tongue slipping through her lips. He sucked lightly before pulling away, staring deep into her eyes. “I missed you too, Ilena.” He murmured against her lips. Her belly fluttered, she doesn’t know what all these strange feelings were sprouting from. Summoning courage, she kissed him deeply, wrapping her arms around his neck. It felt good to Dreg that Ilena was finally comfortable to make the first move. His cock hardened painfully as he littered kisses down to her neck, creating love bites on her mark. “Hngh!” She clenched her thighs to ease the throbbing between them, her back arched to push her chest against Dreg’s warmth. His hands came down to cup her ass, grinding against her shamelessly. “D-dreg....should we really do this here?” she whimpered. He exposes her breasts, eliciting a s

Ilena spoke nothing about her encounter with the strange rogue bandit Alpha to Dreg, she was afraid to be a burden to him after while they were still dealing with the news of her unsuccessful breeding. Their duties seemed to have occupied their time through the past few days. Ilena spent most of her time at the main castle and the storage warehouse while Dreg spent the days at the boarders. She felt a sense of guilt for his distance from her. He always seemed to come home late at night while she slept and even still, she doesn’t feel his warmth against her while she slept. “-What do you think?” Frena cuts her off from her thoughts. Ilena blinked her eyes, she hadn’t been listening to Frena’s ranting. “Forgive me, I was lost in thoughts.” Frena frowned with worry etched on her face. “You’ve not been yourself for the past few days....” She bit her lips and looked down at her fingers. “.....a lot of things have been on my mind.” “Is this about your unsuccessful breedi

Ilena could feel the stares on her as she walked by with Voyra towards the council building. Anxiety crippled her heart once she heard the muffled words of a group of women at the corner. “Its true....” “-wasnt successful....” News of her unsuccessful breeding had spread around Sulcar and it came as no surprise to her. Alene had probably instructed her omega servants to spread the news quickly. She was surprised when a random royal omega came to call her for a meeting with the council. All arrows pointed the news of her unsuccessful breeding. Dreg was at the boarders today, he was probably unaware of the sudden meeting call from the council to Ilena. Voyra glanced at Ilena, the air was tense as they walked towards the building. She bowed and stood before the door. “Only those of noble blood can enter.” Ilena clenched her jaw with the realization that she was now alone to face the council. “Okay....” The door made a loud whining sound as she entered into the larg

Dreg furrowed his brows. “Is it the mention of children that made your mood sour?” She shook her head as anxiety crept its way into her heart. “The medic came to see me today.....” He inched closer, engulfing her small hand in his large ones with care. “Is something wrong? Tell me, Ilena.” Her fist clenched her gown until her knuckles turned white, she didn’t mean to ruin such a romantic mood but it had to be said right now..... “T-the breeding was unsuccessful.....” Tears gathered at the corner of her eyes but she held back and looked down, too heart broken and disappointed to see the expression he had on his face after hearing such bad news. Dreg’s stomach churned, he was upset at himself and felt some sort of guilt for not properly being with Ilena during the mating season. Oh how heartbroken she must feel to experience such loss.... She sniffled and quickly wiped away a single tear that seemed to have escaped but Dreg was quick to catch her not so sneaky action

Ilena watched with tension as the medic experimented with little of her blood in a bowl. He put in droplets of liquid into the blood which caused a sizzling sound but in the end nothing happened. Her heart struck deeply with worry as the medic looked up at her nervously with fear in his eyes. He shook his head slowly, bowing down regretfully. She trembled. “What is it?” “M-my queeen.......Y-your breeding was unsuccessful, Y-you are n-not carrying an heir.” He muttered. His words were like a slap to her face, she clenched her gown in a fist while Voyra furrowed her brows with worry for her queen. “Do the test again.” The medic nodded furiously and began his experiment once again and again until he had to tell Ilena that there were no errors. “F-forgive me, my queen.....but the test result still stands the same.” Tears pricked the corners of her as she nodded cutely and waved the medic away but not before Voyra warned him about spreading the news. “My queen....

Ilena’s eyes fluttered open to the blurry ceiling of the infirmary that she had laid in for two days now. Voyra gasped and stood in alert to see her queen awake so she rushed to call the medic. Her body felt sore but she noticed that she was all healed up from the injuries she had sustained. Memories of that terrifying night flashed in her head. Dreg barged into the chamber looking dishevelled with a certain emotion on his face. “Ilena.....” He engulfed her into a tight, warm hug which caused her lips to tremble as she let her tears fall easily. She missed this warmth she felt she felt whenever she was in his arms, it made her feel safe. “Shhh.....it’s okay, I’m with you now.” Dreg whispered softly. Sobs wrecked out from her lips, she was so scared during those moments. “D-dreg....” She stuttered. His heart tugged, tears pricked the corners of his eyes but he held back. “Forgive me, I shouldn’t have left you alone.....” She shook her head against his chest. “I-it i
