On earth, he gained fame, wealth and all one could ever need to lead a happy life. But he was angry, shattered and torn. He kept himself isolated in the dark. He is the night roamer, protector of earth and the beloved idol of millions.
PRESENTLY“Wake up! It’s your first day at work, better don’t be late!” Katy yelled, bringing the alarm close to her ear. Lia pushed her aside and stands up sluggishly, dragging her feet as she heads to the bathroom.“Cold water again?” She murmured as she pushed the shower button. She got admitted into the university last week; she knew she needed money to make it work. Two days ago, she got a job from one of the job sites she stumbled upon as a house keeper. She was selected, interviewed, and followed by the resumption date, Monday, eight o'clock am. As the shower flushed down the soapy foams on her hair, so many thoughts ran through her mind like what to wear, what to do with her hair, and all the girls stuff. As she contemplated, Katy’s voice brought her back to reality.“Don’t spend a lifetime in that bathroom, these dresses are not going to wear themselves!” Katy added. The dresses were neatly hanging beside the mirror, all ready to be worn. As she stepped out of the bathroom, she inspects the dresses curiously and was suddenly prompted to ask.“Who bought these?" she asked looking awed by the sight of beautiful dresses. She scrubbed off the water from her hair with her damp towel while gazing endlessly at them. Her fingers ran along the smooth silky gown inquisitively. “I don’t remember you having any of these” She raised her brows questioningly while waiting impatiently for Katy to reply.“These were the dresses Jason bought for our engagement night. Unfortunately, he was a total jerk!” Katy explained with an obvious frown.“Oh my God Katy, I didn’t know about that. What really happened?” she asked with her eyes budged out inquisitively.“I was a puppet all along. That son of a thousand fathers, was into someone else” she explained gazing deeply into an open space as if staring intently at someone she abhorred.“Am so sorry Kate!” Lia tried to console her. “That asshole just lost a priceless gold!" She adjusted Katy’s face mask into place, with a soothing smile sprawled on her lips.“No! no! no! You don’t have to be sorry. It's a good thing he left, now i have my own freedom outside his deceptive and controlling personality. Like I said earlier, he was a total jerk! Now try these on you, you might never want to take it off ever again” Katy teased, trying to avert the conversation of Jason, one of which was the most painful experience she would never want to recall. She almost drank herself to death; or worse, end her own life.“Hmm! Let’s see” Lia hopped in excitement as she picked one of the dress from the hanger.“So, who are you housekeeping for, is she rich?” Katy asked with her mouth full of doughnut that almost made the “rich” sound “witch”.“Sure he is, I think so!” Lia replied shortly, staring gorgeously at herself in the mirror. Suddenly, her self confidence lit up. She was fancifully dressed, more than other days, perhaps. Often times, she has been teased for looking too simple like a man. Her oversized clothes and tattered ponytail couldn't suggest otherwise.“Oh! It's is he, and not a she? Wonderful!" Katy's lips tilted with a small smile.“Yea, he is! Mr Williams… something, something?” Lia shrugged. “What’s his name again? She pats her head trying to remember. “I can’t really recall, but I do know there was an “O” in the last name” she said hazily."Do you happen to know if he is single and hot?" Katy winked at her, with the intention of starting that kind of conversation she hated."That is not part of the job description, Miss matchmaker! Even if he is hot as volcano, what has that to do with me?" Lia asked, rolling her eyes. "He could be married with kids or probably an old man with a lot of grey hair and awkward walking steps" She added. Katy shrugged and focused on her doughnut innocently, but suddenly she gasped in amazement.“Wow!” she stared agape at Lia as she spun around in the beautiful dress.“What do you think?” she shrugged, not sure how the dress looked on her.“This looks wow on you. Like you are getting married today?” Katy commended with a loud giggle. But Lia give her a questioning look that made her tame.“Okay! Alright, I know people don’t get married with short dresses. But I must admit, you do look like a princess” She praised again.“Thank you!” Lia bowed elegantly with a smile.“I seriously hope you will find your prince charming soon” “Spare me that!” Lia waved the thought of it aside, the thought of finding prince charming. Of course she has read books and stories of how people found true love and was happy ever after. But her true love was never in the chapter of any fairytale. Or maybe, it was just her non romantic part building up that ugly philosophy in her head. She sighed and takes one last look at her outfit, before she kissed Katy goodbye and rushed outside the door. It was exactly eight o’clock am, when she arrived at the stated address. As the taxi dropped her off, she alighted and stared at the large gate curiously. She couldn't be sure if the address led her to the right place. She was expecting a usual house. “Yes! The usual houses. But why was there a mansion instead?” she asked inwardly.“Well! Let’s take a look” she shrugged and stepped into the gate which automatically opened as soon as she got near. She wondered if it was meant to open like that to strangers, or there was a camera watching to know what kind of strangers should be allowed in? As she walked in, she memorized every details, for safety reason, as her father would always teach her.The mansion had large gates, kind of old fashioned, but in a wealthy way. There were magnificent white horses that lay freely in the garden, just by the south side of the mansion. “Who keeps such a large amount of horses these days?” she huffed and moved ahead. It took more than four minutes to walk to the main building, she had to walk through the endless drive way which was unusually long. At the sides of the driveway were lots of beautiful and rare trees standing lively in neat lines. Without doubt, one might think he was on an endless passage way to the afterlife, as the whole place seemed calm and surreal. When she approached the entry door, she had to admit to the gorgeousness of the whole building. As she admired, she felt something strange. As she turned back to see how much distance she has covered to get there, she was surprised that it was only a small one. In less than sixty seconds, anyone ought to have gotten to the mansion itself. For a moment, she paused and wondered where she has been walking all these while. The long drive way, the beautiful horses, and the rare trees, was it all in her head? She thought, staring at the building which was now an inch to the large gate. She immediately glanced across her watch and realized that an hour was already gone in a flash."But how?" She quizzed, still startled by the strange occurrences. It was as if she was stuck in the maze of her own mind. But then, she felt dizzy and staggered back, but held on to the wall to regain her stamina. When she shook off the dizziness, everything returned to normal. The time, the long drive way, and the horses, which she saw earlier. She smiled unbelievably when she guessed it must have been the food that Katy has warned her not to eat. Now it was reacting weirdly in her stomach. She saddled herself and went back to admiring the beautiful mansion which she thought was like a paradise descended to earth. “It isn’t really old fashioned after all” she gazed with utter fascination. “So wide! one could have seven families living here without seeing each other for years. And they would be like “Hey Tom, you were just seven since the last time I saw you?” she laughed at her own silly jokes continuously until she heard a footstep behind her. She quickly cleared her throat, adjusted her dress and turned to meet the stranger. He was a tall, handsome man in his late thirties. Gelled hair, black neatly ironed suit, and a necktie resting carefully in-between his chest. He spoke with a Russian ascent. “Hello?” he flashed a pleasant smile at the young beautiful Lady who reciprocated with a forced smile.“Hello and good morning sir” Lia replied politely. “I’m …"“Miss Lia Michaelson!” He interrupted. “I’m Mr Sebastian Hughman” he stretched his hand forward for a handshake.“Thank you sir” Lia smiled as she shook his hand.“Call me Sebastian please? No need to be too formal with me” he implored.“Ok sir... ahmm! I mean Mr Sebastian, or Sabastaan? She pronounced after the man's ascent, looking stupidly at the young man who didn't care that she was ruining the pronunciation of his name. He cleared his throat and continued.“I hope you know why you were employed? You are to make sure the mansion is well taken care of on a daily basis. You are to do the laundry, clean, cook the meals and serve the table” He mentioned to Lia, who scrambled something quickly in a piece of paper.“I think that is too much sir, i can’t handle the work load because, I go to school too. Perhaps you could get more helpers to lighten the pressure?” she suggested politely.“You have a point lady. But the boss only wants one hand on this job. And besides, it’s a contract and the boss pays triple the price, plus weekly increments and daily monetary appreciations” he explained the pleasantly enticing conditions, as if it was sugarcoated.“Oh! Am sorry, I... thought you were my boss?” Lia coughed embarrassingly trying to cover the silliness of her own comment.“It’s okay if you don’t want the job, i will report back to the bo…”“No no, it’s okay! I’m totally fine with it” Lia interrupted with a short embarrassing smile. Her desperate eyes bulged out wide as she admitted to the agreement of the excessively attractive payment.“You will meet the boss at his convenience. Or maybe, you will never get to meet him in person as long as you work here, because he is extremely strict with his identity. Until then, you will have to communicate with him using a computer you will find on the desk as you enter the mansion, understood?” He adjured.“Yes sir!” As Mr Sebastian spoke, she thought she saw someone look down from the window, a hooded masculine figure. She peered to take a closer look when Mr Sebastian called back her attention. “Let us take a look around Miss Michaelson, if you will? he allured. “Sure, sir!" she said, and walked beside the tall hairy man. After one hundred and twenty seconds of examining the mansion, he turned to take his leave. “I believe under your capable care, i wouldn't have to worry about anything going wrong?" He questioned, with the intention of getting her reassuring promise."Of course sir, I will do my best!" She replied as politely as she could."Well then! I will leave you to familiarize yourself with the mansion. Call me if you have any questions" He handed her his office card, and drove off, while she walked toward the entry door. She opened the door and walked into the fancy living room. For a moment, she paused and gasped at the luxurious settings. Everything about it screamed luxury, starting from the expensive paintings to the priceless antiques displaying pridefully on every corner of the living room. She shook her head, snapping out of the hypnotic maze of beauty and unbelief that she was trapped in. The computer was sitting right on the desk like Mr Sebastian said, with a message boldly written on it's screen, “Hello”. She went straight to the computer and typed. “Hello sir? My name is Dahlia Michaelson, your house keeper!" There was no response for four minutes. She sat waiting for it, and it finally came. “Very well Miss Michaelson, do your job!”. His response was so simple and blunt and carried no welcoming remarks, what so ever. She seized a file on the desk that said 'Read me' and opened it to find a list of rules and regulations to be followed and punishments that comes with not following them accordingly. She frowned at the turn of the whole day, the stressful work pattern, and the too many rules and regulations to be obeyed. She knew with her clumsiness, she wouldn't last a day without faltering from these rules. The mansion was too large and complex for her to handle alone, but she didn’t want to miss out the rare coming opportunity. She needed the money so badly, plus he pays triple. But she expected more like a visible boss maybe? it would serve her better. Not a ghost boss who doesn’t want to be seen. “Maybe he is deformed or has a contagious disease?" She tilted her head while wondering. "Or perhaps he is a mafia boss who is wanted by the law and would do anything to protect his identity?” She quickly scolded herself for thinking such absurd things. It was not her concern anyway, whether he was blind, deaf, invisible or dead. What mattered to her was that she got her money at the end of the expected month. She did all she had to do and headed home. Her heart raced; there was so much she needed to tell Katy. “I got to this isolated mansion, pretty big with large gates. But there was this creepy thing about the mansion, like those old haunted houses in movies. I am sure there are ghosts living inside, or worse. The building is very cold, isolated, and strangely designed in an uncommon fashion. And there was this part of the house written “restricted!”. I can’t imagine what is inside, but i have to check it out someday day” Katy just shook her head as she listened to the impossible story. And when she finished her narration, Katy diagnosed her of “first day at work syndrome”. “It’s only normal to feel a little weird and not yourself at the first day of work, it happens to everybody. My first day at work, my boss's authoritative tone almost made me pee my pant. He inspects every food with scrutiny before they are served out. And in a month, I lost count of how many times he had spinach stuck in his teeth. The weirdest characteristics about him was his abnormal looks, pale skin, and scissors teeth like that of an ancient vampire craving for blood. But now, am use to seeing him that way, he now appears normal to me; because I realized my fear of displeasing him, triggered those ugly attributes" Katy explained, knowing fully well that her story was exaggerated. But it did prove her point anyway, and that was the first day at work suspicions. After all her efforts to convince Lia, she bluntly disputed, reminding Katy that she was not the “feel a little weird type” “I know you will never believe me. But okay! I will give it a rest today" she fell back into her bed; facing the ceiling and drew a deep purifying breath to clear her mind from those conflicting thoughts. “Actually, I think you’re the weird one, not the mansion. I agree, hunger can make us weird. But i assure you, a little potato and pepper sauce will go a long way to increase your mental state" Katy teased."Why is it always food with you, Katy? Am being real in this matter, don't joke about it. This is one reason why you shouldn't get too attached to work!" She taunted. Katy rolled her eyes and exacted her anger, by piercing her fork aggressively into the stewed potato. She glared at lia and huffily and continued her food.It was a bright and sunny morning. The entire school yard blazed with noises and busy feet of people, finding their ways to their deal of the day. Some engaged in different sporting activities, while others piled up in different corners having fun. Lia made her way to class, selecting her footsteps timidly as she walked. She could tell all eyes were scanning oddly at her, as she wandered confusedly from one school building to another, looking for the DEAN's office in-between building which looked pretty much alike. Everything seemed quite different from high school, only a few persons noticed the new girl in class. After few days of studying the environment, she noticed there were four categories of people in the school “The rude guys, the rich guys, the popular guys and the quiet guys" often referred to as the scapegoat. “Really, things aren't too different from high school after all, just some few matured faces and things done a little bit in an advanced way” she thought with a
As she walks into class, the strange guy of few days ago was seated not too far from the window. Of course, that was his regular position. She tried not to look and pretend he wasn't there at all, at least for once in her life. But her eyes would not cooperate, she failed herself as her eyes were constantly drifting and lurking around him, paying attention to every details about him. When she accidentally made eye contact with him, she shivered with fright and averted her gaze as fast as she could. But the weird feelings in her heart were not exempted from this, It was as if time froze, trapping her in the ensnarement of those cold and ruthless eyes of his, like a spell. In as much as she wanted to retain the beautiful memory of their eye contact locked in her head, she could vividly remember the dangers she saw in those eyes. That one contact, yet it was so piercing and domineering, like he intends to push her into his submission with those stares.“He is always staring at me, but
She shopped for some Allium bulbs, coupled with some other necessary stuffs to ward off the malicious auras, hovering all about the mansion. As she hesitates, looking for more useful things to buy, she stumbles upon a woman with red hair and awkward looks. Without difficulties, one could tell from her tattered appearance that she was ....! Lia paused and stared at the woman, looking for the best word to categorize her, Insane or weird wouldn't be too much to call her. She quickly apologizes for the collision, and was about to proceed her way, when the weird and tattered woman grabs on to her wrist. Then, leans in and whispers something to Lia."Do you think this meeting was a coincidence?" She asks unexpectedly. Without waiting for Lia's response, she answers her own question. "No, it is not! It couldn't be, for nothing happens out of the ordinary! The path which you must follow has been predetermined, as well as this fated meeting which has been mapped out today. But do not fret
The next day after school, she snuck into the mansion and opens the door, even if her key card fell from her a couple of times, because of her trembling hands. Walking into the kitchen, she patrolled around it quietly, waiting for the anticipated ghost to make an entrance. As she did this, she blended the garlic and sprinkled it all over the windows and doors. She did not forget to toss some bulbs into the tall flowers and the fields. There after, she sits confidently and awaits the result, with her focus fixed on the restricted areas. But after thirty minutes of waiting in futility, she couldn't help but laugh at her silly self. What was she even doing? Could she be able to fish out a ghost or a demon with just some few bulbs of garlic and a gas spray? She thought, stuck in the middle of her fruitless plan, not knowing whether to continue or abort. "Maybe Katy was right, i am the one being weird here. Engaging in a battle with nothing but the other silly, scared me; is a glaring s
A shivering feeling clouded her all through the day. There were a lot of questions she had no answers to, like why she was only seeing him for the first time since she worked in the mansion, and why he was so gorgeous, representing everything beautiful, but sadly indifferent. She wanders far away in thought, with her expressions boldly evident on her face.“Miss Michaelson? Explain to us the meaning of lithosphere?” Mr Cobbler's voice echoed, knowing fully well that her mind was far from the class.“Ahm… Me?” she asks, pointing back at herself. The entire class nosily fixed their gaze on her, making her flash out an awkward smile. Her legs trembled from beneath her seat as many anticipating eyes scans at her impatiently. She had just gathered the courage to speak when the strange guy walks into the class, making the whole situation more complicated than it was. Two things were involved; she had to either gather her guts to surf through the situation by answering the question, o
After classes was dismissed for the day, before anyone could tie her down with chained conversations, she dashed out of the class and heads to the school gate. She was about to board a cab to the mansion when she discovers that her key card to the mansion was no longer in her bag. “Oh no! This can not be happening. How am I suppose to get inside without the key card?" She panicks, turning the contents in her bag all over on the floor, she did not regard how people stared at her with weird expressions on their faces. Every other thing faded in her sight as she contemplates for a while, trying to recall where she might have forgotten it. Just when she was finally giving up every hope of finding it, her mind travels back to the library where she has been for almost half the day. "It is five o'clock pm, the school library would probably be locked by now" She whimpers sadly, but resolves to try anyway, who knows? luck may smile on her. “Can I help you miss?” The library's securi
Lia sits by the fields thinking of how much time it took her to ruin her perfect opportunity. But she didn't want to blame herself that much. If it wasn't for the rigidness of that weird man, she wouldn't have been stuck in this confusing state. She was not even sure, if his 'get out' meant that she was fired or she was temporally on hold for her lateness. But she has to confirm one way or another. As soon as she sees him going towards his car, she goes up to him before he could climb into his car "I need to be sure if am fired or not?" She asks with boldness. He turns and stares at the curious young lady without a word. And then, he climbs into his car and slams the door to her face. "Why don't you find out when you come to the mansion tomorrow? But then, you should know your limits. Never should you confront me like this, ever again, housekeeper!" He said indifferently and drives off, leaving Lia humiliated by his words. Seconds after he drives off, Mr Sebastian calls."Are you ou
Bailing herself out of the immediate issue, under the unruly eyes of that fearful woman, was more important. She would deal with Mr Sebastian's payment, as long as she was free. She timidly walks to Mr Sebastian, hiding her timorous and guilty eyes from meeting his."Thank you so much sir, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have known what to do under that situation" She said appreciatively."You don't have to thank me Miss, it was the boss who ordered the payment. You should know, now that you are his employee, whatever wrong move you make dents his good reputation. That is why he is forgiving you this once. Be careful next time, when you go smashing expensive things!" Mr Sebastian warns, without waiting to see her reaction, he climbs into his car and zooms off. Immediately he drives off, she continues to the mansion as before. As she walks closer to the entrance, she spots his car parked outside the front yard, the same she has wished to smash. It was very much okay and safe along
The maids escorted her into her into the Queen's chamber and bids her wait, as they goes to tell the Queen of her arrival. As she waits, she reflects on Zaiya's words. She couldn't help but wonder what she did wrong to have deserved the cruel fate of death."Maybe i should stop now" She thought. Before she could think further, tears streaked down her cheek. "Why didn't you warn me of your father's plans? Would you have had me die before you do?" Lia asked rhetorically. Still she thought it was for the best, maybe he didn't want her to feel insecure and haunted."Dahlia?" A gentle voice called from behind. She turned to see the queen standing close to her. Building up her confidence, she tried to suppress the tears and pretend nothing was wrong, but her confidence failed, her tears ran even more. "Nobody said it would be easy" The Queen comforted, sensing her fears and doubt."I know what transpired between You and Zaiya. Your conversations""You do?" Lia asked surprised."Yes, I
Zula'an had entered the world of void where his mind, strength and weakness were being tested. He meditated, fought his darkness, cultivated his abilities and searched his flaws. As he drank of the up-flowing waters, it was revealed to him, the future regarding his reign, the dangers ahead. In one of the revelation, he saw Dahlia's death. She was stabbed by a flamming sword. The thought of seeing her hurt troubled him greatly that he could no longer focus on what was ahead of him. He tried to resist the thoughts as they were his deepest weakness. Only when he survived this tests and come back victoriously, could he truly protect her from whatever it was that he saw. Still, the thoughts persisted, haunting and testing his limits. Sensing this would happen, he had meditated for a long time to clear his mind of her; now, it was all back in a flash. His mother did promise to keep her safe after all. With this, he found hope and calm.Just when he thought thinking about her were his g
She dreamt of that endless moment of having him by her side when she wakes up. Fluttering her open, he was gone, like he wasn't there in the first place. She recalled how they made love. His scent persisted all over the room. The thought of it endlessly interfered with her present reasoning, but she didn't seem to care. She leaps on her bed excitedly, and constantly Pats her hands on her reddened cheek. The rest of the day seemed hopeful, he had promised to be back in a while. As time rolled by, boredom slowly crept it's way into her. On earth, she had places to go, like the movies. But out here, She had no one to mingle with. Her supposedly little sister would do anything in her power to see her gone forever. She paced to and fro, trying to get busy. She opened the door to her room and closed it. She did that over and over again, until she got bored and moved on to the next plaything she could find. She approached an object which seemed like a large mirror, and peered closely at
Walking into the queen's chamber, she tried to lighten up her countenance to avoid suspicions, but she could only hide her expression, not her heart."You sent for me, my queen!" Zaiya bowed with her face to the ground. The queen urged her to rise immediately."I have watched you grow as a child under my care. You were nurtured as a royal born and have always dinned from the table of royals since childhood. Such privilege and favour can only be given to a child of my own blood" She paused for a while, studying Zaiya's face carefully."Thank you for your immeasurable kindness, My queen. You have bestowed such great honour on me since birth. I shall continue to be a humble fealty to the throne as long as i live" Zaiya bowed again"I presume you know your fate child? Every immortal does" Zaiya nods in affirmation."What if I change your fate? You know it's not too difficult for me, I'm the fates queen""As a child, I was born with the fate of steel and bloodbath. Meaning I was destine
"I might as well give you a trophy" He raised her up on his shoulders and sat her up on the floor. 'This is a resumption from were we abruptly stopped before, my lady" He lustfully gazed into her eyes for a while and continued. "I want to have you so badly" he whispered into her ears. She was stiff and had her eyes fixed on a particular position. He trailed her eyes to see the queen standing a little distant away from them. She cleared he throat and looked away like she saw nothing."I hope am not interrupting anything?" But that was not his concern, whether she was interfering, he wanted to know if she saw or heard anything, he embarrassingly asked."Di... did you hear anything?""Even a deaf man could hear that" she mocked intentionally, gesturing her maids to leave them alone. 'But am not here for you' she turned to Lia who tried to smile to curtail the embarrassing situation. "I guess the prince must have told you about the occasion by tomorrow's noon? I know just the right outfi
Liam stood by the edge of the snow bridge, it was his favourite spot were he sought rest whenever he was in a melancholic state of mind. As she approached him, just a few step away from him, a feeling of alacrity rushed over him prompting a bright welcoming smile. "How did you know I was here?" He asked, surprisedly."The queen was worried. She sent me here""I was just fed up watching the pretense. Am sure am not the only one fooled by that quasi courtesy of hers""You let your anger ruin my first royal dinner, how are you going to make up for that?" Lia asked with a fake frown. He brushed a stray wisp of her hair aside and looked into her eyes playfully."How about I kiss you, that would do the magic right?" "I wouldn't know that. What if they execute me for making out with prince charming by the road side" He laughed briefly and stopped to gawk into her eyes."I'm really glad you are here with me" He leaned in to her kiss her, but stopped abruptly. "Someone is watching" he wh
The whole kingdom were gathered to celebrate the return of the prince. On the high tables were seated Zula'an and his father."The ladies seems to be far from this fine celebration" The king said, trying to start up a conversion with him. He looked way with cold indifference. His last conversion with his father proved fruitless. "Your mother and i think we should give you a chance, I believe you will make the right choice""That is so generous of you, My king!" The tone of his voice seemed rather unbelieving and mocking. He knew his father, the king would never let her be. He never cared for his feelings. He could spell out his father's character simply by looking at him. For a moment, he thought he did saw an element of care in them, Or rather, his mother's inflicted element of care. He still didn't care. In his heart, he was just a man who has never cared about his opinion. Too bad, all his life he has looked up to him, trying to follow the footstep of the great king until the
For a moment he regretted ever bringing her to the kingdom"We were happy before I brought her here to face all this humiliation" he clinched his fist with a bitter expression."I have seen the mortal to her chamber. She seems smart and preceptive. Something tells me she would make a great queen someday" The queen smiled, walking towards him. She was shocked to notice his expression which had a touch of both anger, sadness and frustration. She thought of something to calm his fears and worries. It was her worries too. She could feel them like a sharp blade pierced into her marrows. That was her greatest gift and curse as the fate's queen, to see and feel the pain and tragic end and also joy of others even when they do not feel it. She also was the goddess of love, so loving was inevitable. Tightening her arms around him, she whispered something into his ears."I have to tell you this, even if your father will hate me for it. I can't stand to see you like this after seeing those sm
Suddenly the statues begins to transform, kings after kings, until the ice palace was filled with exceptionally beautiful men and women dressed in all white flowing robes. They looked like teenagers, young and fragile looking. Liam was most surprise why they all had to wake up without being called upon. And Lia, she hid behind him, engulfed with fear although they seemed too harmless. Liam immediately bowed his head to the ground, along side Lia who hurriedly did the same. One of the kings stepped forward and urged him to rise. They conversed in strange languages, all staring at the unfamiliar woman with him.She also noticed something strange, they talked with such a loud voice, yet their mouths do not move? She quickly understood why, he had told her something about the mind to mind communication done by powerful beings. Now she was experiencing it. Their voices were smooth and their skin were flawless, he had thought Liam was an angelic and perfect display of beauty. Seeing t
